Many years ago, I stayed at the Sophia main store when I came to Chengde. This time, I chose the newly opened Sophia Lizheng store to travel with my family. The rooms are spacious and bright. There are charging piles in the parking lot next to the hotel, which is very convenient for friends who have trams. First of all, I met the boss, who was still as enthusiastic as when I met him many years ago. Although they have experienced three years of epidemic, their enthusiasm has not faded at all, and their service has become more meticulous. This can understand that Chengde has opened its own travel agency. Each customer only needs ¥9.9 cents for the guide service fee. Professional tour guides will accompany everyone to visit the Summer Resort and give a detailed explanation of the entire history of Chengde. How persistent and passionate they are about the tourism industry. They also helped me book tickets for the circus performance, which is not only trouble-free but also... You know 😯 The hotel also has its own small leisure yard, which is very comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hotel is situated within a neighbourhood area, suitable for those interested to experience the city from a local viewpoint. Grocery/departmental stores and various food choices within a stone's throw. Hotel staff is attentive and does great work ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Will stay here again.

The room is good, the bed size of the big bed room is quite comfortable. The facilities are complete, quiet, soundproofing is good, the quality of sleep for one night is very good, the service staff is very good, patient and responsible. There are also many foods around. Next time I come to Chengde, I will choose a very good hotel.

The room is very good, and the double bed is also very big. My husband said he was very surprised. The dry and wet areas are separated, and the sink is very good. The key point is that there is also laundry detergent. The service is also very good, especially the beautiful lady. She sent food and play things, which saved me a lot of trouble! Like 👍 The location is very good. There are all kinds of food downstairs. There are many kinds of breakfast on the 4th floor, and there are also pancakes. It is definitely the best accommodation in Chengde! Two sets of toiletries were given to the children, and there were also souvenirs when they left.

Being a part of Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort, the hotel is one of Emperor Qianlong's 36 scenic spots of Chengde (#6). The hotel itself has a lot of historical value, not only the building but the garden areas. The tree in the middle of the compound is 300 years old and has been here since the beginning. Pro: location is one of the best if you're looking to visit Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort (500m away from the front gate), the rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Con: one downside is that the breakfast buffet area, the facilities are dated and the breakfast options are geared towards more Chinese style breakfast, no Western continental breakfast here so come prepared.

The stay was ok. The pros were the very kind women at the front desk. The location is great. The shower was good with a lot of hot water. When I had a specific complaint about a room, I got another room instantly. There were several cons though. The whole hotel smelled of smoked and perfume that tried to cover the smoke smell. The cleaning standard does not live up to our standards. There were several hairs from the previous guests. The floor was dusty in corners and under the bed. The river couldn’t be seen well due to dirty windows. The bed was very hard. The breakfast is McDonalds, we were hoping to get traditional Chinese breakfast.

My experience was overall good, but the bathroom of the room I booked for the first night (single, queen bed) was so stinky at night that I could not bear it. I called the concierge, and the maid came to clean the bathroom (they were very fast= good service) but the problem is in the pipes, not in the cleanliness, (it was very clean) so spraying a bit of air freshener won't solve the problem. I changed rooms the following night. Also, it was quite noisy at night and in the early morning, they should keep an eye on noisy guests. Last thing, but not less important, people were smoking inside the hotel corridors and it was stinky. The management should try to enforce the rules of non-smoking. I understand that know nobody in the hotel wants to call on the smoking clients, but not enforcing the law results in other clients being unhappy too. All in all, I would probably stay there again.

Went with my wife during the October 7 day holiday . Our normal go to place was the Phoenix hotel that was booked. Place was ok. I say a 3.5/5 Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets. The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be. The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot. Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat. No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it. Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

During the May Day holiday, I took my child on a trip. Since it was a temporary decision to go to Chengde, I booked a room on the evening of April 29. There were no parent-child rooms. I saw that there were two separate 1.35-meter single beds in the room and decided to put them together. The 2.7-meter bed was enough for a family of three (the child was about 1.4 meters). When I arrived at the hotel, I found that there were no children's products. I called the hotel front desk to ask for children's products and soon delivered special slippers, bath towels, toothbrushes, bath gel and a thin quilt for the child. They helped us put the two beds together into a huge big bed. Since there was a plan to put the bed together, I brought a small mattress and put it on the seam, which was really comfortable. The hotel gave us a bathing ticket in Rehe. My husband went there twice and said that if the room was really crowded, the bathing overnight was also an option. The hardware was good, but there were many details about the charges. The hotel also provided a heater, which made the room a lot more comfortable after 10 o'clock in the evening. People who check in later need to pay attention: the hotel does not have soap, the shower head has no rod, which means that in addition to the sun shower head, your handheld shower head can only be fixed at a height, there are no bathroom slippers but no bathroom anti-slip mat, so you can only go barefoot. Children need to pay half price for breakfast (more than 30 yuan per time). Try to get a room near the river for a better view!

Facilities: Dry and wet separation, large bathtub, disposable bath bag provided. Hygiene: Overall good Environment: Nice view outside the room, floor-to-ceiling windows. One window can be opened for ventilation, very friendly for traveling in October. Service: Overall service awareness is good. Mineral water supply is friendly. I was reminded every day when I went to breakfast that children would be charged (it seems that the restaurant front desk did not see the information that I had an extra bed) The price of the hotel hot pot set meal is really affordable compared to Beijing. The 158 set meal is very full for two adults and a 6-year-old boy. The hotel also has Japanese cuisine (actually it should be called iron plate), the taste is standard, no merits or demerits, and the service awareness is quite good. The bathing ticket provided solved the problem of not being able to go out to play on the first day due to bad weather, and you can go through the hotel. The bathing service is very good and clean. The consumption is not expensive. There is a naughty castle inside, which is not big, but it is enough for children to consume their physical strength. I didn’t experience foot massage and sweat steaming with my children. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that there are often people smoking in the corridor. Maybe there are many people staying during the National Day holiday, and there are a lot of smokers. The corridor often smells strong smoke. I hope the hotel can have stronger supervision in this regard, or set up a smoking room. After all, a relatively closed hotel poses a great safety hazard to the hotel.
