“Chania was the last stop on a four-city visit to Greece. Athens, Santorini, and Hersonissos preceded my arrival at the Amphitrite Hotel in the old Venetian harbor. While each stop was wonderful in so many ways, this hotel and its location stole my heart. The view is amazing, and the hotel is run by the most dedicated and wonderful people. I cannot say enough good things about the owner, Manos, and the rest of his staff. As a smaller boutique hotel, they take the time to actually get to know you and provide a level of service that is far more personal than the larger resorts. The rooms and amenities were very nicely done and spotlessly maintained. I was lucky in picking this hotel as the location was perfectly situated to have the best night view of the harbor shops and lights. Overlooking a large square, I also found myself just people-watching from the balcony. One of my biggest concerns pre-trip was if the internet was going to be fast enough for me to work a few hours each week remotely. Amphitrite had the fastest internet of all the locations in Greece, and video meetings were flawless. Granted, I had to put up with a lot of jealousy about the view from my “remote” office. In all, we left Greece with amazing memories and new friends, eagerly anticipating our next visit as soon as possible.”
