Fantastic friendly service.

The room we had was clean, neat and tidy, the evening meal was pleasant and sensibly priced and the next morning's breakfast was top notch. What more could you want? I'm told (by Trip Advisor) I need to burble on until I reach 200 characters, so here's my burble. What's wrong with being short and to the point?

A comfortable stay spoilt by unhelpful hotel. The hotel has no on street parking and a small tight car park. My car was damaged and the driver left NO details. Despite constantly asking for the hotel CCTV to be reviewed and continual promises that it would be done both whilst there and since; after 4 weeks only broken promises and my calls never returned. Leads one to ask what doesn't the hotel wish me to know?, how often does this happen? Etc If you travel by car avoid, an expensive visit.

Stayed here for one night while working in the area with two colleagues.Very friendly staff, good selection of drinks in the bar.The food was amazing and great value for money. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I would definitely come back for a weekend stay.

One of the best hotel stays we have had for ages. Great room, comfy bed, lovely veggie breakfast, excellent bathroom. Location is central and the history of the building adds to it's charm. Had a short(2 day stay) but will be back. Highly recommended.

Most satisfactory stay. Very comfortable and cosy, both downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs has some beautiful wooden panelling. Upstairs was very pleasantly decorated with an enormous bathroom. Very good value for one night. My only gripe is that there was no black pudding in the English breakfast, but otherwise it was excellent.

Another lovely stay at the Boars Head, lovely room we had room 23. Lovely food again at lunch time, we had the Carvery, very good Atmosphere. Will stay here every time we are in Carmarthen, hotel is right in the center of town, staff were lovely too.

I have for the past 6 months been patronising the Boars Head hotel as am an agency nurse in Carmarthen. Everything is exceptional. The rooms are clean and tidy. They have recently done beautiful renovations so there are new carpets and beds. The food in the restaurant is really scrumptious. I ate all meals breakfast, lunch and evening meals and it is lovely food beautifully presented and value for money. The staff with special mention to Thomas, Casey, Beth and Cheryl but honestly they have an awesome crew. I also loved the cleaning ladies who were so helpful and kind. I cant forget their lovely manager David who was very lovely too. Thank you Boars Head for the beautiful welcome it was as if I was at another home. Long may it continue. I will be bringing my family too as my daughter turns 18 and she will be having her party at the Boars head.

Very friendly welcome, newly refurbished room with new carpets, spotlessly clean and a tasty breakfast with good choice. Location right in the middle of Carmarthen so very convenient. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening but did have a drink at the bar - good selection of local ales and well priced. Would stay again when visiting with work!

What an absolutely delightful hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was well appointed with the comfiest bed. WiFi was excellent with lots of charging facilities in the room. Breakfast was included and was excellent, self service for tea, coffee, juices etc and cereals then a full cooked option, omelette or sausage or bacon sandwiches etc. Excellent value for money, situated right in the town and on site parking. Highly recommended.

Our stay was very good. A few small issues like towel rail loose and drawer handle missing but good size room well equiped plenty if tea, coffee and milk. Great choice for breakfast and very reasonably priced to include breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Good position close to centre of town.

Travelled for a famiky funeral and we could not fault the hotel or it's staff at all. Cheryl and Thomas went above and beyond to make us feel welcome

Atypical traditional pub/hotel exactly as described old and quirky we loved our stay.

The room was a little 'tired' but generally OK. Unfortunately the heating in the rooms was not on so it was occasionally cool. The hotel did apologise once we had pointed this out to them. The restaurant was good and the staff friendly. We would have liked prepared fruit for breakfast instead of a limited selection of unprepared fruit. Parking on site in a monitored car park was a real bonus. The hotel is in a fantastic location for access to the town centre and the bus and rail stations. Could not have been better from that point of view.
