Hotels near BOH Sungai Palas Tea Viewpoint, Cameron Highlands

Its our second time with NOVA. Love the location. Near to Kea Farm. Which all MAK MAK love the pasar. Hahahaha. We also book with Let’s Go Discovery on Coral Hill Tour. Its our first hiking experience at CH and definitely will repeat with them, since Sadu a.k.a Satu guide us well and he should get the first rate after all. He not only guide us to the top but also be our photographer..serious nice shoot.. hahaha.. both experience really satisfied!!!

Quite a convenient location to access to nearby areas like Cameron square, food & beverage areas. Highest hotel floor level 13, our room was located at level 12, the hill view room. Room was neat & clean, they provided amenities like bath towels, toothbrush and paste. The room was assigned with the bath tub. They do not provide small towel. Water dispenser is accessible at each level of the floor. Swimming pool is sheltered at one of the hotel levels. The water temperature was not warm as described online. Level 1 has 2 dining places: 1 will be the cafe, 1 will be the buffet style dining. Getting grab around Cameron will take time as there are limited drivers around. A few times, we had to wait for 20 minutes for a pick up. Weekdays traffic was not as bad as compared to weekends. Went on the trip during weekdays, overall pleasant trip.

It is a nice place to stay, to relax. It has a nice view, nice architecture, lovely decoration. But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. Location: bit secluded but not too difficult to find with map and also there are signage along main road that you can look out for. Clealiness: very clean and we love the design of the room. Our room came with a bed and sofa so enough for our family of 4 with 2 young kids. toilet is spacious and has storage space. our balcony faces the trees so not much view to see. Air is crisp, main building is a short walk from our room and not sheltered. Service: excellent. the staff were great. we reached at the evening, did not do any pre-booking for their hotpot meal but we really wanted it for the cool night. the staff tried to accomodate and set up a table for us. though the location was right at the main lobby but at least we got our meal. Facilities: they have a few activities at the hotel. we signed up for the walk around the resort. we did not imagine it to be a trek in the forest. Some areas were challenging as it was slippery. We did struggled a bit especially we have to carry my toddler in my arm when we are crossing certain areas. Otherwise it is really a great experience for my kids. The guide is really nice and he was keeping a look out and waiting for us, the group we are with also try to keep a lookout for one another and provide support. overall still a good experience just need to know what to expect.

The address is as follow: No 46A Jalan Golden Hills 2 Barrington Home, Golden Hills 39000 Tanah Rata, Cameron Hills, pahang Great villa that fit 20 person easily, 3 big rooms and a kitchen with cutlery and plates. Right outside the villa is walking distance to a street night market. Every night was crowded as fresh vegetables are good for value. Encounter everyday jam in Cameron Highlands to all places of interest, easily 2 hours stay in car, time was wasted also on finding carpark lot. Road was mostly one way and curvey, prepare for passengers uneasy on stomach for frequent stops. Hope to come back again and see that the infrastructure have improved.

The hotel is not on par with its 4 star rating and did not commensurate its room rates. I would give a maximum of three stars and, in some respects, just a budget hotel. There is no complimentary drinking water in the room. To get the water, we had to carry a glass jug, moved along the corridor, and went down a flight of stairs to the water station. There was no iron and ironing board in the room. The common ironing room is near the water station on the lower floor. This arrangement is very similar to those found in cheap budget hotels. Given that in the interests of environmental considerations, plastic bottles are not used, other respectable hotels normally prepare glass bottled water for guests. Breakfast was very bad. Most of the dishes were local, and choices were limited, especially for those not used to local food. The presentation was also very poor, with some food items just piled on top of one another. Coffee and tea were made in bulk and served from a big dispenser. Internet was also not stable. The main plus point is its location, walking distance from the bus station and Tanah Rata town centre where food outlets and some places of interest can be found.

Service:- I rode in from the rain ＞ asked for early check-in ＞ Receptionist called me a 115pm to let me know room was ready. Managed to keep my stuff with bellboy whilst I went out to find breakfast and wait for room check-in Bellboy helped bring my stuff to the room. 200RM deposit was returned to me in denominations of 50, when I had used 2 x 100RM notes ＞ I requested for this back and receptionist had to get manager approval before returning 2 x 100RM to me. Can borrow umbrella from lobby if it's raining. Facilties: Bathtub is kids size, not adult size. no massage services. Carpark ＞ no motorbike parking lots. Parking: I ended up parking my Ducati Diavel Carbon, FBL 747S, in basement carpark cos security guard did not let me park outside lobby. (Even though Ducati Club Singapore managed to park there in May 2024 as well as open carpark lots below) However later in the day, Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, FBG 38G, was allowed to park there. Security guard said rider is from Kings Motorcycle Club ＞ I told security guard that Kings MC only rides harleys. Security guard then says rider is VIP, and his boss approved the parking. I questioned the receptionist ＞ they referred me to security ＞ I told receptionist what security said and receptionist could not do anything. The rider left the next morning; I was having breakfast at the outdoor seating, could hear him start the bike, let the bike warm up, before riding off. (so ”noise” is not a valid reason for not parking there) I came back to my motorbike to find it covered in dust and fluff, cos it was 7m away from the laundromat (I parked here cos there was another motorbike here and there are no motorbike lots in the basement carpark) The whole reason for parking somewhere visible and in line of sight of Security, is for the security of the motorycycle. (There is a notice in the basement carpark that states parking at carpark is responsibility of owner, not the premises) Breakfast: good spread and variety.

Now where do I start... There were many twists and turns before I finally decided on my stay at Rover's inn. Finally, after booking and cancelling several accommodations , I decided on this one. Upon looking at the pictures and the price, I thought the entire experience of staying here was just going to be so-so. But the entire experience really exceeded my expectations! Upon stepping foot into the hotel, I was greeted by the melody of soft jazz  wafting into the lobby. The owner warmly greeted me with a smile when I arrived at night, and he filled me in on the rules of the place. Maybe it's because I've been staying amongst the hustle and bustle of Singapore for too long - but the quaint, quiet and peaceful surroundings of the hotel felt absolutely refreshing and peaceful. I also really like the fact that the management makes it a point to make sure that noise is reduced to a minimum. The hotel room turned out to be really spacious too, and for the price , it is really quite reasonable. There is a lounge and a cute outdoor dining area for guests to consume their meals. Water, coffee and tea are also provided. In the lounge area, there are also some books that guests can read ☺️ I chose the classic - men are from Mars, women are from Venus. On the last day of my stay, Jessie forgot to return me my deposit and she specially called me up to make arrangements so she could return me the money. Really thankful for her honesty. Facilities wise, the only think I would really have wished could be included was a hair dryer! I couldn't find one and I really needed it to dry my hair. But I guess the hotel management would need more income to upgrade their facilities ? For the price, I really can't complain.☺️ Another thing is the walls are kinda thin? So sometimes I can hear the other guests in other rooms which kinda disrupts my sleep. Other than that, I'm really satisfied with my entire experience here ♥️☺️☺️

The service is good, the antique and heritage building, garden and ambience are the key attractions of this hotel Breakfast is very good and presentation is nice, especially come with the natural honey Queen size bed is slightly small for two persons guess due to the limitations of room size The bed and pillows are good and comfortable The only one defects is the water heater not working well and can’t enjoy the bathtubs as it take too long to fill up with hot water, and got to wait longer to use hot shower Highly recommended to support this small luxury boutique hotel and preserve the heritage and nature of Cameron Highlands
