Hotels near Höhlenpark Klausenstein Bezau, Bregenz

The positives first! Nice welcome when we arrived. The room was large and even had a walk in closet. I haven't seen that very often in a hotel! Otherwise, a somewhat boring breakfast, and a strange sound coming from the sink made it a little difficult to sleep. We arrived late and left early, otherwise we would have complained and asked for a different room, but we told the reception when we checked out. Clean and nice hotel, but not quite our style.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in June 2023 to vacation on Lake Constance. Lake Constance can be reached from the hotel in 15 minutes by car. Dornbirn city center is within walking distance. Dornbirn train station is right next door, but that's not a problem. We liked the hotel overall, but it also has some weak points. You can tell that the hotel is very new, everything is very modern and we liked the style. The room was clean, but one day our room cleaning was completely forgotten. We could only change the towels at reception in the evening. But the room was no longer cleaned. We have never experienced this in any other 4-star hotel and it shouldn't happen. Care products such as conditioner and especially tea and coffee were never refilled by the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, we couldn't drink coffee or tea on the last few days and the kettle was therefore useless if you don't have any products for it anymore. Unfortunately, there is no blackout curtain on the window. The curtain was white and did not darken the room. So it was bright as day in the room at 5 a.m. Not so nice if you actually want to sleep in on vacation, and of course that's difficult in a brightly lit room where the sun is shining. Otherwise you would have had a really wonderful night's sleep, as the beds were very comfortable and it was always very quiet. Unfortunately, there is no table in the room. If you want to write something on your tablet or laptop, the only option is the bed. This also means there are no shelves. There is enough cupboard space for clothes, but for everything else you have on a table (tablet, laptop, cell phone, keyboard, etc.) the only option is the floor. The WiFi is extremely fast and worked perfectly. We really liked the wellness area, it was always very quiet and clean. Unfortunately, there are no towels available in the wellness area, so you only have your bathrobe and a single towel for the sauna for the entire stay. It is therefore impossible to shower in the sauna area with a fresh towel, also because there is no shower gel or shampoo in the sauna showers. This should be a given in a 4-star hotel and we know it from other hotels. The hotel promotes sustainability, but unfortunately there are only disposable plastic cups in the rooms and in the wellness area. This is not appropriate for a 4-star hotel and is particularly not sustainable and should be urgently reconsidered. The staff were very friendly throughout, especially the staff at reception and in the restaurant. We mostly ate dinner in the hotel. The menu is very varied and the food was always very good. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very clean and modern. Our room on the 10th floor had a great view. There are two swimming pools, an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is really nice and offers great views whilst swimming. There is a steam room and numerous saunas although some of them were closed. Despite not being in the centre of Dornbirn, there is a shopping centre and exhibition centre next door and there are very frequent buses to the centre as well as the number 14 bus to Bregenz. The only negative I can think of is that there wasn't a door in the bathroom, which was a bit odd. It wasn't a big issue for me and my wife but could be for some people. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel and is very good value for money.

We were able to snag night at this hotel but had to move on due to a lack of rooms. We would have loved to stay longer if we could have. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. This was a last-minute booking, so I cannot complain about the lack of room availability, and I was happy to get one night. The room was a suite and well equipped. In fact, it was an excellent room for the price. The staff was wonderful, and the location was perfect. It is walking distance to everything in Bregenz. I would return to this hotel, and I would highly recommend it to my friends. There is a bar attached to the hotel (KreuzBar, which is EXCELLENT and well run) and there is a restaurant connected by the courtyard/parking area behind the hotel. The train station, lake port, cable car, and pedestrian malls, are all within walking distance. The hotel itself is one of the best I’ve stayed in.

It is few years now that my husband and I are going to Bregenz Festival, enjoying Bodensee and the opera. This year we chose Messmer Hotel, and we've been very happy with the choice: right in the centre, conveniently close to everything worth seeing in Bregenz and in a waling distance from the venue of Bregenz Festival. We chose the package including ticket, an aperitif and dinner: we enjoyed it, everything was very good. Rooms are clean and cozy, very welcoming. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well, making you feel at home. Definitely recommended!

Slightly dated IBIS hotel conveniently located for the station and the old town. One annoying point was the windows had been modified so that they could not be opened at all, so the room was stuffy and warm. (The air conditioning either did not work, or was inefficient, or had been centrally disabled at this time of year.)

From the very first moment of our arrival at this hotel, our expectations were exceeded. The person checking us in simply could not possibly do more than he did to make us welcome. So friendly and helpful. That was just the beginning, however, because the restaurant manager and the young lady who served us were also amazing. We were pleased to meet the Director, Filip, next day and he too was great. He said that if there was anything he could do to help, we needed only to ask. As it turned out, we needed that help when we arrived at our NEXT hotel in Luzern. Filip was as good as his word, and gave us some advice that helped us enormously and saved our holiday from being ruined. All in all: wonderful people, beautiful place with superb decor. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. 110%.

This is a Holiday Inn Express of the latest standards, so you know what you will get. Very friendly staff, clean and good sized room, table that is too small to put your laptop + paper, .... and very good breakfast in a nice restaurant area. All this for a very fair price, I will for sure book again if I'm in the area. One last note: plenty of space to park you car!

We chose this hotel as we were going to the Bregenzer Festspiel and it was perfect. It is just a five minute walk to the train station and the train gets you to Bregenz in a few minutes more. It’s a brand new, stylish hotel, just a year old. We had a really nice, modern room with plenty of places to plug in our various devices. Although it overlooked a roundabout (and we could see to Austria in the distance), it was quiet and we slept well. The free bottle of water in the room is a nice touch. The nearest carpark costs 20 francs but you can park at the train station for 7 francs or free on the street until 9am. We were made to feel very welcome by both gentlemen on reception. A particular thank you to Herr Niederer who, as well as being friendly and professional, was generous with our welcome drinks. We will certainly be back!

Parking is convenient, 20 minutes drive to St. Gallen. The scenery is good and you can see Lake Constance from afar. The breakfast is very rich, there are many types of food, the rooms are average, most of the hotels in Europe are like this.
