we were a family of 7 adults and 5 kids (ages 9-16) in 5 rooms (we had 3 kitchenette rooms). Everyone was comfortable (spacious rooms, all w/decks overlooking the bay and comfy beds) and the resort offered plenty of on site activity. Kayaks and paddle boards are there for the taking and we made good use of them. The swimming pool was also quite pleasant. A full, daily, buffet breakfast was enjoyed by all. It was a lovely place to be with family and relax in a gorgeous setting.

Best private decks in Maine on the Pier! You are tempted to stay right there despite how charming Booth Bay Harbor is to visit! My daughter & I stayed there for our 4th year in a row. The best Girl’s Get Away! Ocean , pool, boats, dinning, friendly, clean, and fluffy pillows!

I spent 2 nights with my family recently and we all loved it. They have a beach, dock and pool - location was perfect! The food at the on location restaurant was fresh and delicious- Cash - the chef - said everything is homemade- right down to the granola they serve at the breakfast - which is included. We would go back again - great find - clean rooms with a view.

Smuggler’s Cove Inn has to have the best overnight accommodations in the Boothbay area, if not in the entire state of Maine. The location is quiet and beautiful, but it is also family-friendly. Everything was very clean, and rooms were supplied with Beekman 1802 toiletries, which are very high-end. The front desk staff was extremely helpful when booking rooms during a very busy vacation time. The complimentary hot breakfast, located in the on-site restaurant was top-notch, and had something for everyone! We stayed in both the Pier and Dory buildings during our stay, and both rooms had wonderful views of the cove, and the Maine vibe we were looking for. Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location on Linekin Bay. Nice rooms that I think all have water views. Nice amenities like paddle boats and kayaks you can use. A little beach which is perfect for little ones and a very nice pool. The included breakfast was delicious. The buffet had several options all of which were prepared nicely and honestly some of the best scrambled eggs I ever had. Also a nice bar and restaurant for dinner on property. Not a huge menu but several options. Staff was very nice and helpful, giving us recommendations of other places to eat and places to visit. I would highly recommend Smugglers Cove. It’s 10 minutes from Boothbay Harbor on the quieter side of Boothbay.

The place was beautiful with a wonderful pool, a free breakfast and a superb view. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was good. It was far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough to enjoy them. We loved the quiet!!

This is a nice, quiet place to stay. Great parking and a lovely view. The free breakfast has many delicious choices. I did not have an ocean view but still nice. It was close to Boothbay Harbor and the attractions I wanted to see. Be sure to go to the Maine Botanical Gardens and take some boat cruises. The boat cruise to Monhegan Island is a must see.

My husband and I go to Smuggler’s every year, and this most recent trip did not disappoint. The staff were very accommodating, the food delicious, and the scenic views provided the backdrop for a totally relaxing trip. There was even live music in their on site restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. The fact that they are pet friendly is a bonus, as we love to travel with our pup. We received a little doggy treat bag upon arrival which was a very nice gesture. If you haven’t been to coastal Maine and are looking for a truly peaceful experience, check out Smuggler’s Cove Inn. My husband and I had the best time again, three years in a row, at Smuggler's Cove Inn. The room is small but sufficient for our needs, and we enjoyed the use of the heated saltwater inground pool and kayaks during our stay. The Inn also boasts a restaurant on-site and a full breakfast is included with the room cost. Kash and Jayshree, and this year, their son, are the most accommodating hosts we've ever known. They work extremely hard to provide excellent service, including keeping the short beach cleared of seaweed and debris. Gary and company, who took care of us for breakfast every morning, were wonderful. Every year my husband and I say we're going to visit a different place yet we always return to Boothbay Harbor and the Smuggler's Cove Inn. My only recommendation is to perhaps bring a small laundry rack to dry wet clothing - we visit in the spring before the temps get very warm, and it's easier for us to hang our kayaking and swimming clothes on the racks and put them on the deck to dry than to try to find spots around the room. :o) I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
