The place is lovely and great. Its more of a place to visit in summer or during warmer conditions though, because there is next to nothing to do if you're there during winter, especially if you're there with kids. Granted it was a nice breather from the buzz of Jozi, but thats literally all it has to offer. The staff and service as well as facilities are amazing, everything else is appreciated. Just short of alternative entertainment during winter time and the colder seasons.

There aren’t enough stars to rate Ukutula , from checking in to checking out is faultless, the Staff are incredible and that is all due to the exceptional training they’ve had, Willi who owns Ukutula has standards. The Staff choose who you speak too treat everyone like part of this unique family. No praise can be enough for them. The accommodation at Ukutula are just like the Staff perfect, beautifully decorated individual thatched lodges, with an outside sitting area complete with a fire pit, camp chairs to sit around the fire pit plus a table and chairs on the veranda area. The bedroom’s are beautiful a lovely sitting area with a comfy sofa, a dining table, tv, ours had kitchenette superbly equipped which we didn’t use except the fridge. The restaurant serves beautifully presented meals and breakfast is a magnificent feast. The gardens with 2 pools are gorgeous with so many animal figures representative of the wildlife. We had joined our friends there, it was the final destination on our month long trip it was a reunion and our friend said it would be special, special doesn’t come close for Dreams coming True, we’ve been privileged of visiting several countries in Africa to see wildlife in a natural habitat, to play with Lion Cubs, to be licked by Fiji the Cheetah was something I never thought I’d do, but I have never dreamed that I would hold a 4 week old Lion Cub, that is a memory to cherish forever. Not only does Ukutula make dreams come true, the conservation that they do is a vital to the wildlife world, their laboratory is fascinating and great education on what they are doing to preserve wildlife. Disappointing service and standards. The standard at sun city dropped significantly for the price you pay. Compared to the old Sun city the money you paid was worth every cent. We stayed at the cabana. The room was not ready at 2pm check in time. So we were given another room. The tv was not working The toilet door has a loud squeek when you open and close. The toilet and shower were not properly cleaned meaning that the grout on the floor tiles was dirty and the shower has mold in the grout. Before I booked in at suncity I stay at magaliespark and from there drove straight to suncity so seeing the cleanliness of the suncity bathroom just put me off as magaliespark was absolutely clean. The breakfast that is served at sun city is so low budget compared to how it was previously. It's just not worth paying that money for a stay.
