One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had! We entered the building and were greeted by an old, run down, musty hallway. The owner then insists we cancel our booking on *********** and pay her directly as a personal payment, I never like to do this as it’s dangerous for the customer if there’s a problem, but she insists it’s the only way we can have our rooms. She then takes us to our rooms and I’m greeted by the smallest bedroom I’ve ever seen. It was advertised as a double room but it’s like staying in a cupboard. Single occupant maybe but it certainly wasn’t fit for a couple. The owner explains she’s had the heating off for 3 days to save on costs, so the room is freezing. The bed is a small double bunk, not a proper double, so me (who is 5ft 3) finds that my feet are firmly touching the wall if I lie down… god help you if you’re taller than me, which most people are. We notice that the room is quite dirty with filthy glasses in the bathroom, dead skin, hair and food particles on the steps leading to the bed and mould streaks in the toilet. As we’re exhausted and it’s getting late, we resign ourselves that we’re hardly going to be in the room and plan to stay out as much as possible. We return later in the evening and my husband attempts a shower, but there is zero hot water and the heating is now off. As he tries to fiddle with the tap, the wet room (which hasn’t been designed properly) starts to leak icy cold water into the bedroom. Angry and exhausted we go to bed and have a thoroughly unpleasant sleep — squashed together and cold. The following morning we wake up at 7am and the room is like an ice box, with no heating. Desperate for a hot shower, I try in vain to get the hot water working but no matter what I do, it’s just cold water. Finally we’d had enough, pack up our things and call the owner. She arrives at 10:30 with this unknown man and he starts fiddling with the shower. I explain how unhappy we are and that we want to leave. She starts arguing with us, despite the fact that we show her evidence (dirty glasses etc) and she’s getting more and more defensive and rude. At no point does she say “I’m sorry you’ve had this experience” she just keeps telling us we’re wrong. At one point laughing at me and calling me “ridiculous”. Terrible customer service! Some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Will I be returning? Never. Would I recommend? Never. Should you risk going here? No, save yourself and look elsewhere. Rude people, dodgy payment/booking experience, weird place, dirty rooms… I have nothing good to say. The photo speaks a thousand words, that was just from me wiping down the top step 🤮

The location was perfect not far from the train station and a two minute walk to pleasure beach! The beds were really comfy and rooms were nice and clean, also recently renovated. The owners were helpful and really nice. Definitely would come back!

Hotel was very clean and homely. Tea and coffee were available in the room. The room also had a large tv and been freshly renovated. The room view was excellent . The roller coasters from the pleasure beach are in view and can see people enjoying the rides.

Very friendly staff and superb location. Very close to the beach and south pier. Room was clean and had just been renovated. The beach is only 2 minutes' walk from the hotel and the pleasure beach is very close. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay here whilst in Blackpool, its our 2nd year in a row of staying here and we will definitely be back again. The 1st year the owner Anamaria had just taken over the hotel so it was quite basic but she was so lovely and helpful and the room and facilities inside the hotel were spotless. This trip she remembered me and my son and we had a lovely stay. There are some renovation works going on in the hotel but during the day when most people are our doing what they do in Blackpool so its not really a problem and in the end the hotel will look even better than it already does. Anamaria goes out of her way to see if everything is OK or if you need anything and just a friendly chat, she is such a lovely lady and will make the hotel go far. I havent a bad word to say about our stay and would recommend anyone to stay here, there is also sometimes the chance of parking which is often hard to find around Blackpool, so there's a bonus in itself. Keep up the hard work Anamaria and we will see you again soon. Kelly & Leighton x

Nice clean hotel even though some of the rooms are being renovated, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the beach which has recently won a blue flag award for its cleanliness.
