Fantastic staff. Great room and excellent service all round. Interesting town to visit. Trip Advisor want me to write more but I think you get the gist of our visit. Why I can't sign out until I have written 200 words is a bit of a pain Trip Advisor - get someone to sort this out and be a bit more realistic.

Went for afternoon tea today the 5th October it was absolutely amazing, the food was gorgeous and the staff are excellent especially Marina who looked after us so well . We had it in the potting room which was fabulous fire on so nice and cosy would highly recommended it for a treat or birthday can’t wait to go back well done to all the staff and management

we stayed new yrs eve and it was a beautiful stay , staff as always are amazing. we had a beautiful meal in the restaurant, food was 5stars our waiter Eoin was brilliant so friendly and such a nice young man . we cannot wait to stay again . All the best Catherine and Lynda ❤

We live in Shannon and hour from Birr. Normally we travel up towards Galway or south to Kerry for a quick getaway from the kids. The traffic in Galway is to be avoided at all costs. The hotel was lovely, the room beautiful, we stayed in the Nest. The hotel is very close to the centre of town. The town was quiet but we had a few lovely pints in a few local pubs, met a few friendly locals and off back to the hotel. We did Birr castle during the day and that is a place we'll come back to with our kids.

I stayed here on December 27th for one night. My only regret was it wasn’t longer. Our room 154 was recently renovated and the decor was very stylish. The room was spacious and our package included a welcome bottle of wine. The bathroom had Rituals products supplied- a little touch of luxury. We had dinner in the bar area. The steak was sublime - melt in the mouth. The servers were friendly and efficient. Next morning we used the leisure facilities. We had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves and it was in pristine condition. It was a great way to build up an appetite for a sumptuous breakfast. Breakfast is a continental buffet and hot food to order, with an extensive menu available. The service, again , was fantastic. Food was promptly delivered to our table and Chloe our server got us a refill of tea no problem. As Irish people we love our tea and it was great getting not just one pot each, but a top up! I was sorry to leave as the hotel was so relaxing and calm. It’s perfectly situated in Birr town and we were able to walk in at night time and enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights. Birr is a lovely town with plenty of charming shops and eateries. Finally, the day after we checked out I realised I’d left something behind in the room. I couldn’t believe when I rang the hotel that they kept a full record of items left behind and stored them safely. Shout out to the housekeeping team for such conscentiousness as my item could easily have been discarded and would have cost me a lot to replace. I fully recommend a stay at the County Arms. We got really good value for money, but most of all we got a relaxing, enjoyable break away.

Attended a wedding here and couldn't praise the hotel, staff and food enough! Room was lovely, clean and with ritual products in the bathroom. Used the spa area the day after which was a lovely amenity. Food was the best part of the wedding, really delicious! Would recommend!

Great food. Great service. Beautifully appointed restaurant area. We went for lunch and the food exceeded our expectations both in quality and value for money. The staff were brilliant from the greeting at the front desk to the servers. Everyone was smiling and seemed to enjoy working there. Highly recommended.

We held our wedding in this beautiful hotel may 2024 From the minute we stepped into this amazing hotel we both knew we were going to book for our up coming wedding. The staff,and the management are on a different level from any other hotel we have ever stayed , so friendly and welcoming honestly the staff are a credit to this hotel. Our wedding day was perfect. DEE SMYTH the wedding co- ordinator is an angel she went above and beyond for us. From the minute we booked our wedding right up to the day we left after our wedding she minded us both with care and affection we will be forever grateful DEE. The wedding day was beautiful and everything we imagined, our guest were so well looked after the food the amazing drinks reception was more than we ever expected. Massive shout out to conor the manager thank you for everything you were brilliant thank you. For anyone looking for an amazing wedding book here Lynda and Catherine ❤️

We have stayed here previously. Lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Location is very close to town just 5 minutes walk. Food was amazing cant complain about anything. We will be back and are looking forward to it :)

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. Lovely hotel with superb Christmas decorations. Lovely decor and beautiful room. The staff were absolutely superb! Charming lady on reception when we arrived. Fabulous lady served our dinner and a very helpful lady served breakfast. Brilliant swimming pool - only problem was that there was no shampoo or body wash dispensers in showers. Wonderful stay and have recommended it to friends.

The garden is beautiful. The interior is tasteful and luxurious. The staff are exemplary. The food was exquisite. The bedroom was lovely with the most comfortable bed and beautiful bed linen. I attended a wedding there and it was most enjoyable. The happy couple were treated like royalty.

Had a wonderful dinner in a beautiful restaurant and the service was lightening fast and very friendly. The food was top quality and based on our experience will definitely be returning. A lot of work put into this hotel and it's evident. Some beautiful features outside the hotel.

From the time we booked out the whole hotel, the Reservation Manager was fantastic to work with - any queries were dealt with efficiently. From coaches arrival to hotel, check in, accommodation, meals in banqueting suite, staff, music ...., no fault could be found anywhere in 4 nights be stayed. All Senior Citizens had a fabulous stay and that was down to friendly staff and Management. Its one location and hotel where they mentioned that they would love to return to themselves with their families.

We stayed in a standard twin room, which was lovely and nicely decorated, with a double and a twin bed. The room was very clean, and the hotel's overall decor was very stylish. The staff were outstanding—so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommended!
