The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room had a little sitting area with a couch, which was good for stretching out. The hot tub was nice a spacious and offers a gorgeous view of the mountains. The pool was also nice and relaxing and appeared allow access from the early morning to late evening hours. The breakfast buffet area was very open and the variety and quality of the food was good. There are also several tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the view with your breakfast. So as the title states, we had some very good experiences at Village Center, but for what we paid for a 1 bedroom suite, expected a bit more. I'll start with the ”needs improvement”. 1 - The rooms and property in general is very dated. The furniture in our room looked like someone took an ax to it in places. 2 - The WORST part of our stay were the beds. Oh my goodness. The worst beds we have slept in and we travel frequently. My husband couldn't sleep through the night. His body hurt that bad from the mattress and pillows. I saw some mention of this in other reviews and - trust me - it's BAD. Linens are also awful. Very scratchy. 3 - The thermostat kept going on and off by itself. As in - we'd turn the unit OFF and it would come back on without us touching it. Conversely sometimes we'd want it on and it wouldn't cycle on. 4 - Basic conveniences were lacking. The unit was a 2 batrhoom but there was no tub.. We had a child with us and she prefers a bath - and it's just generally easier to help her in the tub. Also in the shower stalls there was no shaving ledge. There was also no safe in the room which is an issue b/c we travel with jewelry, passports, etc. There was nowhere to safely stow these. 5 - Housekeeping was kind of spotty. We had to BEG daily for toilet paper. Sometimes they would take dirty towels and not leave clean ones. And I swear the toilet paper restock was being taken from the housekeepers pay. We'd have to call down every day to ask for TP and they would bring ONE ROLL. We found several things in our room that were left by previous residents. It kind of grossed us out as it was clear the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned between stays. I'll leave out the details but ...... ick. So it's just small things like this that kind of add up. The hotel has a premium price so you'd expect basic conveniences and comfort items. Now on to the good. The staff at this place is amazing. They are really friendly (even when you are pestering them for toilet paper). They always give you a friendly greeting when you return in the evening and wish you a great day when you head out each morning. Everyone we encountered was really amazing. So kudos for a super friendly staff. The location was great, especially if you like to ski (we were there in summer and don't ski but can see how this would be a huge plus). There were tons of activities at the resort - hiking, biking, zip lining, archery, etc. We did several tours through their Base Camp and had a great time with most. The exception was the Creature X escape room (total waste of money). Chet's restaurant in the Huntley building was very good. We enjoyed lunch there and went for the free breakfast daily. The free breakfast was amazing. You order off a menu - it's not continental or a cheap buffet. It was a great start to our day. The shops and amenities nearby are wonderful. We got some great souvenirs and there were pl

Comfortable, large rooms. Less than 5 min walk to lifts, shuttle available in morning & afternoon to get you back and forth if you prefer. Our room was very big, with two big beds and a fold out couch, slept 3 comfortably. Kitchenette was suprisingly well equipped for its tiny size, with a two burner stove, combo microwave/convection oven, and a good sized fridge/freezer. We cooked dinners twice and it was fine. Staff was very friendly and responsive, quickly bringing up spare towels, collecting garbage, etc., on request. The included breakfast was a bit disappointing, especially considering the price of the hotel -- had eggs that seemed to be powdered, a breakfast meat; instant oatmeal; auto-pancakes, bread/english muffins/commercial pastries, milk/coffee/yogurt. The cost per night on a feb weekend was very high, but still the best deal for walking distance accommodations that we could find. It is decidedly NOT a luxury hotel, but due to location costs as much as a luxury hotel. Read any negative reviews accordingly. Views from the rooms are really spectacular -- our window framed Lone Peak beautifully.

First, this is a beautiful setting. River, mountains, horses....it is stunning. The staff is polite, the breakfast buffet is good, but there is not much effort made when there is an issue. We attended a family event and many family members shared cabins (and costs). We reported a dead rodent in our cabin...couldn't see it but could definitely smell it. We reported it at the desk right away but nothing was done. The smell got worse every day. When we checked out I brought up the issue and was told that they weren't sure if we wanted a trap set or not and that's why nothing was done. Last time I checked traps were for catching live mice so it was obviously a lousy excuse for doing nothing. There were also issues with food prep in the restaurant on site. Steaks not cooked to order, missing side dishes and drinks. The margarita was terrible, but the Big Sky Lemonade was fantastic. I recommend finding another place to have dinner and drinks off-site. Finally, when it came time to check out, the credit card that was provided to pay the balance due (1/2 balance was paid in advance) was not charged as discussed at check in. They charged original card instead of splitting balance with secondary card provided. Again more excuses and no apology for the error and told it will take two weeks to correct!?! No housekeeping services. You have to make the trek to the office to get towels, tp, trash bags, ice. It was a disappointing experience.
