We stayed at the Oman Desert Private Camp when we passed through Bidiyah as part of our road trip to Oman. Unforgettable experience in itself. Stunning, relaxing and superb setting and attentive staff. We had just experienced a big storm on the way, so we were delighted to arrive and seduced by the surroundings. Access to the departure station which leads to the camp from Bidiyah is not easy to find, however with an SUV or 4x4 driving and access are hassle-free. And a great time. However, in terms of infrastructure it was quite uneven... We had to share the tent with 8 people because the other one that we had reserved had not been repaired following the bad weather. (room refunded) They redid the room at the last minute and we had to wait a lot...even though they knew we were arriving. Nice and comfortable basic experience in this Bedouin tent, we were obviously not there for 5 stars. Dinner on the terrace on the dune is great! Varied, rich, complete, the same goes for the great breakfast with a view of the desert. This is the big plus of this camp in my opinion. Because the weak point remains anticipation, waiting, organization and communication... We lost at least 2 hours on the day of our departure waiting and waiting again to pay our bill and as much to go quad biking early in the morning even though we were asked to be ready and go… A good experience but a small downside on the fluidity of the organization.
