My parents and I stayed here, thinking it would be great as it is close to a lot of the famous landmarks we were hoping to see. At the first check in, the guy who checked us in knew little bit of English and gave us two rooms on the same floor but away from each other… which is silly since I came with them, meaning I want to be near them. To the point they told us there were no more rooms and to come tomorrow. Tomorrow we were too busy to switch rooms, also they never told us at what time to come, only when we were already away from the hotel. The rooms were both very hot, AC doesn’t work, wifi very slow too. We both didn’t have windows, so as you can probably guess it was very stuffy. Apart from the closeness, I wouldn’t stay here again.

I have generally only good things to say about my experience. The incredible upgrade from 2 rooms to an apartment was great. Breakfast buffet was included in my rate of choice, and it has one of the most amazing breakfast spreads I have seen. Location was already central and walkable mostly in mall to 2 adjacent MRT stations accessing 3 key MRT lines.
I can only share one photo of 1 of the bedrooms, as the other room and my living room had my family inside. They even have fruit basket for me.
My main minor gripe was that I wish they could also have provided disposable face masks that we then had to find ourselves. Face masks could help with the cold of winter that we underestimated.
But all in all, it was really a great experience at Hyatt. Full marks !

Need to compliment the service staffs here, very helpful and kind, especially Ms Su. She helped us double check our train tickets. We didn't have local number so the staffs also help to use their personal phone to do food ordering for us. We have some parcels sent to the hotel and had some issues, the frontdesk also help to talk to logistic people to arrange them to resend the correct item. All in all I will come back just for the service staffs. Located near train station which is nearby alot of attractions.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—situated in the heart of Beijing, it offers easy access to key attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation. The proximity to iconic landmarks like the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
Although the hotel is abit old, the room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean. The luxurious bedding to the thoughtful amenities, made it feel like a true retreat. The view from my room was also stunning, offering a glimpse of Beijing’s skyline that added to the ambiance.
Ambience at the hotel lobby was awesome. With a grand piano, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows facing the garden.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. From the concierge’s expert recommendations to the housekeeping staff’s meticulous attention, I felt well cared for throughout my stay.
The Regent Beijing exceeded my expectations in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. I look forward to returning in the future!

The room is clean & spacious for my family of 4 adults.
The hotel is connected with the mall, which is so convenient!
Staff is extremely helpful & guided us on how to use various apps like meituan/ didi.
I am so impressed with the meituan to hotel bot delivery - our order is delivered 30min from ordering!
The only suggestion is to blank out or frost the entire bathroom glass. It is kind of odd that the top n bottom are see-through.

Nice to find a hotel that offers family room for 4 in a single room - I guess in China it’s still rare for there to be more than 1 child in a family!
The room was a good size with a very comfortable super king bed that fits 3 persons and an additional single bed.
Bathroom was big with bath and separate rain shower.
Bar was closed (for good??). Annoying as we had family who came to visit and wanted to have a drink together that isn’t just wine. At least offer some beer in your restaurant if the bar is closed.
Breakfast was vast, lots of choice. But for the price I would expect better包子 and 油条. Felt like they came from a packet, not freshly made. I can get so much better on a street cart for less than £1, so very disappointing that a five star hotel cannot make decent Chinese staples. I would say the 豆腐脑, and 葱花饼 was lovely, and I stuck with this for the duration of the stay.

When I got to the hotel, the hotel offered me the chance to get a room upgrade, which I immediately accepted (80 yuan/night). The new room I got was clean, and the staff was also very nice. However, sound insulation was very poor, I could hear every single word of the people around me. I couldn't switch off the heater, which was also a problem, especially at nighttime. The closest subway station is around 1 km from the hotel, so I suggest taking a didi to wherever you want to go.
I am overall satisfied with this hotel.

GGuest UserThe environment is very good, there are many shops around, it is very convenient to go anywhere, the hotel is fully equipped, the service is good, and the environment is hygienic. The decoration is very elegant, the sound insulation effect is very good, it is a quality accommodation choice
EEnkh RenI recently stayed for three nights at Park Plaza Beijing and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was quite clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, spoke English. Though the hotel is a bit far from the Gaobeidian subway station, it was still manageable with a short taxi ride. One highlight of the stay was the beautiful river nearby, which offered a serene spot for walking and relaxing. Overall, a pleasant and peaceful stay in a nice part of Beijing.
PPAPArussyWe stayed at this hotel for 8 nights, and all 8 nights were absolutely amazing! The thing we’d like to praise the most is the excellent service from the staff. They were attentive and always willing to help. Even though some staff members might not be fluent in English, they made every effort to communicate effectively using Google Translate. This level of service is truly exceptional, and we sincerely commend them for it.
Highlights that impressed us:
1. Convenient location: The hotel is just 500 meters from metro lines 7 and 14, making it very easy to travel around.
2. Delicious nearby dining options: There’s a fantastic shabu-shabu restaurant near the hotel that we highly recommend. Don’t miss it!
3. Complete facilities: There’s a supermarket on the ground floor, and laundry and drying services are available. It’s very convenient, and sometimes the staff even help move your clothes for you.
4. Robot food delivery: If you use Chinese apps, robots can deliver food directly to your room throughout the day. It’s such an impressive feature!
5. Immaculate cleanliness: The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job in keeping the rooms spotless.
Minor note: Occasionally, there might be a slight smell of cigarettes, but it can be easily resolved by turning on the exhaust fan in the bathroom.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent service, convenient access, and great value. If we ever return to Beijing, we’ll definitely stay here again.
Highly recommended—book it now, and you won’t be disappointed!
JJulia CLWe got confused after we checked in and noticed that there wasn't a door into the bathroom. Called the housekeeping, and they informed that the door was removed because it was spoilt. I think its rather irresponsible to not inform beforehand. The room was changed after complaining. The new room, not sure if it's because it's winter, it's like a sauna in the room! Even the corridor is cooler than the room! There is nothing we can do to adjust the temperature and with the direct sunlight shining in, it just makes it worse.
During checking in, I enquired about some day tours but the front office staff couldn't give much information. Generally, the staff are not very enthusiastic and friendly.
The plus point is the location. It is about 5 mins walk from Xidan metro station. Lots of food and shopping around the hotel.
PphottigimathThe service was really good. We enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly. It is very near to the railway station, so it was really convenient. I should really appreciate the cleanliness, the rooms and the bathrooms were extremely clean. It was an amazing stay. All the staff did a really great job. Extremely happy.
PS: the receptionist was very handsome. So extra happy😁
TTinaMI was only here for 3 nights, but had an extremely comfortable stay. The rooms are large and very well equipped - there is a fridge, microwave, kettle and a really good washer/dryer, which was such a blessing for me after a month of traveling. This is essentially a serviced apartment, but they also have a lovely lounge/kitchen in the basement, with a coffee machine that I may have used a little too much 🤣 It was good coffee and I was really glad for it at the start of a busy day. Their housekeeping staff is lovely as well, as is their security/doorman with the kindest smile. The reception staff went above and beyond to help me with my many queries. I had some delayed deliveries arrive at the hotel after I checked out, unfortunately, and although I'm sure my many requests may have been rather irritating as my friend in Beijing attempted to reroute/collect the late deliveries from the hotel, never once did the hotel staff convey a hint of frustration to me. They were so kind and gracious throughout, and I am genuinely grateful for that.
The hotel's location is an absolute chef's kiss 🤌 There are 2 major subway stations at equal distance from the hotel, and you can pick the station based on which line you need. The hotel is located by the hutongs west of Dongsi, right at the end of the LongfuSi complex, which is essentially a long line of fantastic pubs, cafes, restaurants, and also functions as a community/park of sorts, so you will see lots of families and people walking their dogs in the evenings - I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it's a very uniquely ”Beijing” experience, not one you would experience out on the busy main roads. One of my favourite things was just walking back from the subway station and getting to immerse myself in this environment before arriving at Base. Also, I read some reviews saying it is inaccessible for taxis - this is not true, as there is a wide enough road for cars; your DiDi driver just won't be able to wait for you as there is no parking on the main street, so you'll need to be waiting for them outside. It was very convenient for my driver to pick me up when I checked out.
Thank you to the courteous reception staff for putting up with all my queries and shenanigans! I'm genuinely grateful and hope to be back again very soon (hopefully next time with fewer questions, but no promises!)

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel with my family and it was an absolute delight! This place is a haven for families seeking comfort and convenience. The room was incredibly spacious, allowing us to move around comfortably. My son was over the moon with the bathtub – it was a definite highlight of his stay!
One standout feature was the presence of two bathrooms, which proved to be a game-changer in terms of convenience. No more morning rush hour! I must give a special shout-out to the desk guy, Leo, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. His excellent service truly made a difference.
The location is also a major plus – surrounded by numerous restaurants, we were spoiled for choice when it came to dining options. It's a huge relief not having to venture far for a delicious meal.
All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations and provided us with a fantastic family experience. We'll definitely be returning on our next visit!
GGuest UserHotel was about 15-20 min walk to the subway station, which consider pretty far. Not like what other review says it's within minutes walk. Will be difficult if you're pushing heavy luggage. Do take note that nearest station is DongZhimen station which by far, I've not found any elevator nor downward escalator, which will make it difficult when going to airport by subway train. There should be one downward escalator somewhere but eventually we decided to take a cab down which takes about $160 yuan for a 6 seater. A lot of eateries around the hotel area and a pharmacy next door which makes it convenient if touch wood , any co-traveller falls sick. But not a very friendly pharmacist there.
Our hotel room is the bigger one with projector with movies. Just need to use WeChat app to scan to access.
Basic stuff provided in the hotel. Anything else, you have to ask , eg shaver, or floss etc but no safe and fridge , wardrobe though.
There is a Korean restaurant in the hotel which makes it convenient if you decide not to dine out.
Customer service wise, housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, accommodating our request here and there. Except one day-shift front desk who is not too helpful nor friendly. Sometimes when we asked for extra bottles of water or tissue packs, she would be reluctant and ask for our room number to keep track of our usage. As my co-travellers caught a flu in between, we need more tissues. At one time, when I asked for two more packs of tissues, in the end she came up to tell me hotel run out of tissue and can only give me one pack, the rest is toilet rolls. But when later, I approach the housekeeping staff, the cleaner lady gladly handed me what I needed. Too bad I didn't know the name of the unfriendly front desk. But she's the smaller built size one.
On the contrary, one night shift front desk is to totally extremely helpful and friendly, she goes by the name ”Xiao Li staff number 000”. As my co-travellers fall sick in the middle of the night, running fever and catching cold and cough, I have nowhere to buy medication. She helped me to order online with ”mei tuan” which we foreigners have no way to order unless with a local number. She even offered me more water and tissue packs without me requesting. The next early morning, when I walked past the reception to get my breakfast, she even asked how my co-travellers are doing and whether they recovering. On the day of departure, she helped me with the booking of a cab to airport and gave me a few pointers going to airport. Her presence make me gives an extra star to this hotel. She is definitely the best staff in the hotel.
Overall, if you are travelling alone or with adults companion, this hotel is considered decent but with children, you may want to be prepared to walk more or take a cab to any of your destinations.
DDr. Julio BernalWe love this hotel for the location and the size of the room. The place is very luxurious but one thing that can be improved is the temperature for the rooms. They over used the heater and we had to ask to lower it. It still felt too warm. We asked them to open the room window but still it was too hot. The breakfast was very good with some room for improvement. The buffet looked cramped in an area of the restaurant. The location of some of the items wasn’t the most strategically. For instance, to grab some fruit you have to be practically on top of other items of the salad bar. People could literally breath on top of the food. Overall this hotel is great but it needs a major upgrade in the rooms and the wet area of the gym/pool. The showers there need some work. The steam room wasn’t working. Only the dry sauna worked. It need better cleaning as well
