It only takes a few minutes to walk to the Grand Pagoda; the room is clean; the airport drop-off service is free, but you must confirm it with the front desk; the breakfast is relatively simple; at the intersection of two paths, there are motorcycles, cars, barking dogs, and crows. The noise is very loud and the sound insulation effect is very poor, which is a flaw.

Extremely welcoming family owned hotel located in the spiritual side of Kathmandu near the Boudha Stupa among other wonderful Monasteries. Hotel is extremely clean with the most wonderful Host and Hostess you’ll ever find. So much insight and so attentive! Also, great conversationalists! Could not have asked for more!
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your kind words, means a lot .Hotel Butsugen.

Hotel Butsungen is a gem in the heart of Boudhha. Not only is it ideally situated, it is a family-run hotel that offers the luxuries of a hotel with the care and attention of a small establishment. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with hair dryers, heaters, and a safe. Breakfast is prepared upon arrival and there is a lovely outdoor seating area as well as a courtyard to relax and take a break from hectic Kathmandu. I was especially appreciative of the hospitality offered by the hotel proprietors!
Response from Property: Thank you your kind words means a lot to us.

Such a wonderful experience here for my 1st visit to Trek Khumbu Region and Climb Mountains! The Gardens and Landscaping are so peaceful from the Relaxing Swing in the Gated Courtyard. People always watering, sweeping and cleaning and politely asking if you need anything like local dining options and sight seeing or a hot cup of Tea or Milk Coffee as it is referred to here. My Sherpa Guide Domai lined this place up for me for relaxing rejuvenation between treks and I look forward to one more stay before departing back to Colorado! Did I mention it is a 2 minute walk to World Heritage Site, The Great Boudha Stupa-Shree Boudhantha, which is surrounded by Fabulous Shopping?
Response from Property: Thank you Sir, your kind words means a lot to us . Regards, Hotel Butsugen Family.

My friend and I stayed here for a few days after our trek. The couple who runs the hotel are really helpful and sweet. They arranged many cab rides for us (haggling can become tiring after a few weeks in Nepal). Breakfast was homemade and freshly prepared every morning with a side of fruits. The location is a 5 minute stroll to the Supta and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. Would definitely recommend! One thing to note: there is no elevator. Not an issue for us but may be for those who need assistance going up.
Response from Property: Thank you sir.

This hotel is fantastic. It is clean, accommodating, and in a great location. It is within a 2 minute walk from the Boudha Stupa (the area where they shot some clips for Marvel's Dr. Strange). Because of that you will find lots of restaurants, shops, and coffee houses (try the Himalayan Java Restaurant). But the best part of the trip was interacting with the hotel owners. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were quick with a nice cup of tea or coffee and enjoyed making conversation. I learned a great deal about Nepal from them! Several times they arranged taxi's for us, being willing to communicate with the taxi drivers. The breakfast was delicious (eggs, toast, potatoes, fruit, and beans). I don't know why anyone would stay anywhere else when visiting Kathmandu!
Response from Property: Thank you Sir, Your kind words means a lot to us and we do look forward to serve you in near future too. Warm regards from Butsugen family.

The hotel is cute and sweet with nice rooms, a beautiful garden and, a convenient location. High standard of cleanness and friendly staff. The owner is great, funny, friendly, and willing to help you in all directions. Food was great, 5 mins walk to shops and stupa, can find everything you need within 10 mins walking distance.

We stayed 2 nights, the hotel is good but very expensive for an impersonal room ($40/night + 10% service charge), we were charged 10% service charge when no one cleaned our room or even added soap. Our plane was delayed by 12 hours, we asked to keep the room longer so as not to be outside, the hotel was empty and they refused with a very cold smile. Honestly the worst hosts we had in 2 weeks in Nepal. go your way
