I would like to thank the staff for everything they had done for me and my wife after I mad a awful mistake that is to embarrassing to go into ... all I can say is they literally made sure I was not going to be let down and time ruined by going above and beyond anything they needed to do to make my stay a beautiful one after my error ......the food was lovely and also everything was as it was in the pictures if not better something to see for yourself should you go ahead and book a stay .......

Small luxury hotel I feel relieved to see that it is SLH, but it is unusually understaffed. From check-in to dining in the restaurant, you have to wait, wait, wait. If you don’t understand English, please don’t come. Most of the employees look like college students who work part-time and cannot solve the problem alone. question.
The restaurant and bar are good, the room is very big, you need to take the stairs to the first floor, and the bathroom is half a floor up. The swimming pool is small and there are many people. There is a sauna, but it was useless because the temperature was 30 degrees on the day of arrival.
Charging the tram is also very funny. It took a long time to fully charge it.

The hotel is beautiful, lovely surroundings. We had lunch on the terrace which was great. The spa was amazing - beautiful facilities- however there were young children diving and splashing in the pool which wasn't relaxing! There are signs saying no children in the spa pool but staff didn’t reinforce it. The website says no children under 16 but these children were about 10/11 - Took the relaxing out of the experience and when we bought it up with hotel they said residents children can go in the pools but they don’t make that clear on their website or booking. Based on that i wouldn’t attend the spa again. (Fyi i have children but wasn’t expecting to be splashed by kids after paying £100 each to use the spa!)

I was staying one night in the hotel due to a family bereavement, the wake was at Homewood and I stayed over after the wake. The hotel is in a great location, very near Freshford village which is a very well appointed village (excellent facilities, shop, cafe etc.). The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming, gluten free breakfast was great, toiletries were lovely (I bought some when I left). Sadly I didn't have time to use the spa but look forward to another stay in which I can make full use of the facilities.

Enjoyed afternoon tea in the conservatory. Attentive service and a lovely selection to eat and drink. A nice buzz but not noisy. There is so much to see here at this quirky venue - next time I'm looking forward to having a drink in the bar in front of a roaring fire!

Staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble..brilliant service. Is very expensive per night but the experience makes it worthwhile. Breakfast was great and room service for no extra charge

Booked an autumn spa break and it was just great! The staff were lovely and very helpful! The location is beautiful and the rooms are too! The outdoor spa is heated which was great! The hydro therapy pool is a must! All round 10/10 stay!!
