Hotels near Batam University, Batam Center

recomended for foreigner to stay, really in just off minute to get alot of varity local food, also deliciious bread in moning bakery... bebek carok for not local to test their spicy limit

I and my wife finally booked and had a chance to stay in Harmoni One Hotel. It was a crowded and busy place before covid-19 outbreak. Proud to see how this hotel still struggle to survive, but also sad at the same time witnessing how empty and quite this place now. Harmoni One still operates hotel room for guesses at 2nd floor. We heard and saw 1-2 other guess at our floor. We stayed in Room 210, deluxed room including breakfast. with wide glass window facing to under construction of Batam One Mall and bushes of surrounding old area. Checked in 5/May/2021 for a nght stay. Thank you to Ms. Rita, he front desk staff who was kindl assited us during check in and make sure our needs in the room is fulfilled. Hotel building looks luxury, located close to Lottemart and Sundanese Warung. Room was spacious, with king size bed, sofa bed ,furniture, mini bar, complimentary coffee/tea and water kettle. Surprising to have a bathtub...so the toilet itself has almost half of bed room's size. However, we understood this hotel is not new, so old carpet smell is unavoided. Internet was good and strong. Room has tv cable with 40 local and foreign channels. They served the breakfast by ala carte menu for main course and fruits, and let bread/toast, juices, coffee/tea stall open for self service. Nasi goreng was good and tasty. The staffs on duty and 1 high shool trainee available on-spot to help. Swimming pool and fitness center at 6th floor are open 9AM-6PM, but we did not try it because this place seems not attended by any staff. We can sleep well in the room. Thank you for the staying experience in this hotel, and wish all the best for the management and staffs to keep their spirit high in serving during this trying condition. First, hotel is good as it’s near Batam centre. Hotel is very good theme for photo shoot. Use Gojek to call for car in Batam. Grab doesn’t work here. For hotel amenities, water heater is not on, has to inform the hotel counter to on the switch. The shower head is not very good for my room. There’s cigarette burn marks on my bedsheet. The hotel is near the main road so it’s very noisy around mid night. Overall, hotel facilities not bad.

Tonight is our last night here in Eska. All good. Water heater, thick towels(some hotel's has very thin towels), hairdryer. A/C was working well. Mini fridge was ok. Not that cold. No funky smell in the room & bathroom, clean. Lobby is clean. Housekeeping team was great. Breakfast platter was good too. The bed was not bad($40+, yeah). Only the pillows thou. I find it quite flat. Haha. And Kepri Mall is permanently closed. So, its little quiet. I would suggest to get yourself a prepaid card for data*get a bigger Gb, if you likes watching Netflix or videos*. Just to standby. Hehe! We arrived on the Friday afternoon, Wifi connection, TV was all fine. But, when we came back that night prolly around 10pm ish. there is no Wifi connection at all till the next mrng. But now, 12.38am, Sat night. Wifi was good. Idk whether the connection or what. I just used up my data yesterday😅 to surf the internet. We didnt try the spa here, because we had our regular massage place else where. And theres a restraunt at the roof top. Very nice. But didnt get a chance to sit there, as its raining. Yeaa. Overall, worth the stay. Only the Wifi thingy.

The best room very clean and well ventilated, the staff are all approachable and kind :) i recommend this hotel / inn..

Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is having a good advantage on location, located in the heart of Batam Center, where luxury and homey abound. It is an old hotel, but it is well maintained and it is connected to a modern life style, near local culinary and having a good entertainment with roof top bar. The staffs are giving a good hospitality and helpful. Sahid Batam Center hotel could fit for business and personal use. Over all, Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is a good hotel to stay. Here what I see. Advantage: Good location near Kepri Mall (5 mins walk to the mall entrance). 12 mins drive to Batam Ferry center. Quiet place. Cooking hood available in the room. The hotel has a free taxi service, but need to inform early. Disadvantage: Breakfast menu does not even meet the average. If you go late, they won't top up anything for you. Did not try outdoor pool, so no comment. Mosquito in the room. The marble floor is not suitable for small kids. I would not recommend for a family with little kids.

My second time here... and this time with my mum. Service and staff were very friendly and approachable, even for my mum who doesn't speak fluent English, they were all kind and friendly towards her. There were knocking noises randomly above the ceiling, and the staff is kind enough to arrange us for another room. Appreciates the help. Only two issues which I find it annoying, first I saw guest in their tshirts or even non-swimmers use the swimming pool to soak their feet, and two of them even ”play” in the pool without proper swimming attire. Well, I use the swimming pool (and gym) at the hotel and intended to use it, so when I saw the family with improper attire at the pool during my breakfast, made me change plan. I meant soaking their feet at the pool... and i had to swim in it. Besides, the painter has been there for 2 days? Smelling turpentine during swimming after every stroke.. can be quite unpleasant. Gym facilities are good, and had quite a crowd compare to other hotels ive been to. However, I guess the air-conditioning of the room can be better, as the weather are getting warmer, the heat can be strong after an workout. What I really like is the play room for children, and the view in the morning. Breakfast is good, lots of varieties.

I don't even know how to begin... overall, the service staff were very friendly. We knew the hotel was old so we were expecting the worst but got a newly renovated room instead and that was nice. But the renovation felt incomplete with a number of issues / poorly done, and weird things like a very very rusty shower soap rack (because it's clearly newly renovated, why is it rusty???). Amenities wise there's a hair dryer, 2 bottles and complimentary coffee and tea packets. Nothing in minibar. Room was spacious, but the safe was spoilt and way too small (barely can keep iPad level small). There's only one door lock and no extra chain lock on the door. I mean I didn't feel unsafe unsafe but at the same time I knew it was not really safe. The water turned a bit brown for about 3 minutes the first night (we suspect rust?) but didn't appear any more after. Drainage was okay but can be improved. Towels were stained and bedsheets not pristine. It's beside a school, so expect some noise if your staying in the morning on weekdays. There was also an air freshener in the room that went off every hour (literally every hour throughout the night) but I'm pretty 100% sure there was nothing in the air freshener. The weirdest part was the outside of the hotel - not the hotel property itself but the road leading up to it. It seemed completely abandoned and like it could collapse anytime. Overall - would not stay again but if no other choice, can make do. Paid about $160 for 3 nights.

Mine was a business trip for 3months.PanBil is one of the best hotels in Batam.Rooms were well maintained.But as am from India I would suggest PanBil to serve Indian Foods (Idly,Dosa varieties)We were more than 20ppls staying in Panbil. Things to improve 1) Transport Facility 2)Serve Indian Food Murdani and Nuri are so responsible in their duties.I would give them 5stars
