We travelled to Barcelona for a work off-site, and WOW did this hotel impress. It was beautiful, the rooms were to a very high standard and the rooms from the roof top bar were brilliant. The hotel is in a great location, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. There were some special unexpected surprises included. The rooftop bar was amazing and we had such fun!

Having just moved to Barcelona we were looking for somewhere cheap to stay to keep our costs low. We found this hostel on Hostelworld but booked through the hostel website as it was cheaper and breakfast was included! Breakfast was the perfect continental spread (croissants, bread, cereal, cheese, eggs etc). We stayed in a 12 bed female dorm with an en suit which suited our needs perfectly. The cage system under the beds is a great way of keeping the room tidy - bring a lock for the cage! And speaking of locks, the hostel is very central and as a result has lots of safety measures in place. With our room card we can only access the ground floor, the self catering kitchen and our own floor. the safety measures in place are brilliant. The food in the bar is delicious and guests at the hostel get a discount so it's great value too! We played a few rounds of pool with the staff (special shout out to Liam and Kelly), we had a great time. The bar has many screens for showing all kinds of sports which draws in a good crowd any night of the week. The staff overall are extremely friendly and helpful at any time of the day or night. The housekeeping staff are at the top of their game, the place is spotless and extremely well kept. We highly highly recommend this hostel when visiting Barcelona.

The location was excellent and I felt very safe when out for a run in the early morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the hotel breakfast and it was perfectly acceptable -- nothing spectacular but no problems either. The shower in particular was a problem in that it drained poorly, was very slippery when wet (see: drained poorly), and caused a lot of flooding on the floor of the main bathroom, which increased the slippery danger. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated the staff leaving an extra pillow in the armoire if we wanted it.

The hotel was our base for three days in Barcelona following our cruise. The location was good, close to the beach and only a short walk to the Metro station. The buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for one night prior to returning home. It was the third hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Spain. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The area was great with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. My only suggestions for improvements would be to have more than one english television channel. It was our last night and we were tired out so we would have liked to watch something besides BBC news. There was also quite a wait for an elevator.

I stayed here for two nights in January 2022 as part of a group tour and overall had a pretty awful experience. I faced the following problems at this hotel- 1- The bathroom is open without any door so basically everyone in the room can see you inside the bathroom. This is not an ideal situation for any travelers except couples. Moreover, it ensures that the water from the shower falls into the room and makes it wet. 2- The bed provides no comforter or blanket. So when you feel cold you have to unwrap a brown paper full length cover that does not give any protection at all from the cold. 3- When you switch on the hand shower, the head shower comes on automatically, that too with ice cold water! 4- There is a large counter behind the bed to place items but when you put something on it, you get a loud metallic shrieking noise. 5- Air conditioning in the corridor outside the rooms is set to freezing temperature. 6- Breakfast timings were supposed to be from 7 am to 10 am, but when we went at 8 30 am most of the food was over and nobody was taking an interest in refilling the food. The coffee machine was not working properly. 7- We could hear everything that occurred in adjacent rooms, because soundproofing was poor. 8- We were given two separate beds in spite of being a couple. 9- Finding out which switches operate which lights was very difficult. Moreover on the first day we requested a wake up call which never came! The few positive points are- 1- Close to Fira Metro Station on the Metro Line 9 (4 minute walk) 2- Close to Gran Vía 2 shopping mall (12 minute walk) 3- Friendly and polite staff Overall I think the hotel needs to make a lot of improvements!

Stay at this hotel due to next day very early flight time, therefore for its location is perfect. Room is clean and very basic with only shampoo and shower gel. The location of the hotel is very comfortable, with excellent cleaning and excellent friendlyness by the employees. I was particularly pleased with the director's attitude, who was not soaring at all by watching the number of clients waiting and left his office to provide assistance to the receptionists.

Hotel room wise, apart from the room is small for the price you pay, the toilet is extremely small… yet the room comes with an unnecessary long corridor walkway. We had problem finding space to put our luggages.
For probably one of the cheapest and most decent room for its location, am overall satisfied with the hotel.

GGuest UserWe loved our stay at the Hesperia Presidente, very good area to be based for exploring by foot or by public transport. Around fifteen minutes walk to Passeig de Gracia or similar in the other direction along Diagonal to a lovely shopping centre. The staff really go out of their way to assist and were always very friendly and informative. We were in a Junior Suite for three adults, which had a dividing door for privacy - it was initially only set up for two but this was very quickly remedied. The room was quite large, with a great bathroom/fabulous power shower! The hotel has a lovely seating area in reception which was very welcome whilst waiting for our transfer in the evening (they kept our luggage after check out with no issues at all). The area is very busy being on Diagonal but I would feel very safe travelling on my own here - lots of restaurants, bars nearby

GGuest UserThis hotel should be a 1-2 star at most. The reception is the nicest part, our room had stains all over the bed and curtains. Filth underneath the bed, the spa was €19 pp for an hour and a half when it should be included in price, breakfast had little to no options and the bread was stale and rock solid. They offer 1 restaurant that again has little to no choice of selection. Literally salad with no seasoning or sauce, burger and fish. We went to a restaurant a 25 minute taxi drive away and it was gorgeous. Insanely over priced, the pictures of the pool upstairs on the roof are deceiving, a lot smaller than the pictures. Waited 3 and a half hours to be checked in, we had to keep going up to the desk to ask if our room was ready and even though we were sitting right beside the desk they failed to inform us that our room was ready, we only realised when they checked in others that it could be ready. No security at all in this place or CCTV camera either and I’ve read reviews from their website on Google and seen this issue and how peoples belongings were stolen most likely by cleaning staff and nothing was done. When we were there, there was a group of kids smoking **** walking around the hotel and it filled up the whole hall. I would seriously steer far away from this place as a couple let alone as a solo traveller or a family with children. It’s a dangerous location. The only positive thing is it’s within walking distance of camp nou. Rooms are absolutely tiny too and definitely not of standard of a 4* hotel, again more like a 2* at most. I would not recommend staying here and will not come back, I feel sorry for anyone who has stayed here with children as it’s no place for children and nothing close by except for the football stadium which is extremely even more over priced and jam packed. As far as I’m aware, the spa does not offer massages.

GGuest UserI've stayed with this hotel for a number of times now, I would think about 7 times also before covid. The company I work for has also sent quite a few others to this hotel over the years. After this last visit I can say that it will probably not be the case anymore. To be honest, I felt like I was annoying the staff at the reception, it was always with a quick, condescending way that I was given answers. Like I was getting on their nerves. I paid almost 1.100 Euro to stay 1 week. In that time, the phone was broke, my door would not shut properly without slamming it, the room STANK !!! of sewage (I was told because of the pool filter or something and I was directly next to the pool basically in room 721 - the cleaning lady spoke no english so that's the info I understood), the breakfast was not to great standards; never was there bacon, the boiled eggs cold. The coffee machine broke, so the waitress was so angry that she was slamming chairs and saying angry stuff in spanish loudly about how management never takes care of the machine; she dropped all kinds of glasses and plates in the kitchen; then the cook came out and looked at me and rolled his eyes and shrugged (how do people in service actually work like this???) . It was unrelaxing and not worth the price at all. The only helpful and sincere person I met there was the girl at the reception who always asked how my day was, and also the room cleaning lady (the elder one with glasses). I was not even offered ANYTHING in response to having to sleep in a stinking room with no phone. I thought maybe someone would say to me ”sorry about all the inconvenience, have a wine on us” but not even that!! Only the next day I was asked if I wanted to move (I declined only because I was traveling to Valencia for 3 days on that day and I was told that afterwards it would be fixed so I didn't want to move if it would be fixed. But when I came back, only the phone was fixed - the smell was still there and the door I still had to slam). Also, my credit card was charged for a night on the first day of my stay, even tho my company pre-paid the whole stay in advance and it was confirmed. I had to wait several days before it was booked back to my account. At the checkout I was not asked once how my stay was. I would have otherwise told the guy there directly. But maybe he knew I would say something and chose not to ask anything. He was the most condescending of them all anyway. He never freely said Hello or Good bye. Only interested in himself. Horrible person and not sure how he can work in service! When he reads this he will know who I am, for sure. I did not have a welcoming or pleasant stay there this time and next time I and my company will choose another hotel for this or any other stays. If you feel too secure and think you have enough guests, then think again. Covid isn't gone and one day you will be surprised how quickly guests can leave and go somewhere else. The location is a 15-minute walk from the Avenue of Thanksgiving and a 15-20 minute walk from Casa Batllo and Casa Mira. There is a relatively large convenience store next to the door, and there are many coffee shops nearby about 5 minutes' walk, and you can go to breakfast in the morning.

YYISHUBecause I booked the hotel and hoped to see more information I wanted to know in the evaluation, I would like to tell everyone about my experience, I hope it will help. First, the location of the hotel is not far from Passeig de Gràcia, about 10 minutes walk. There is a diagonal subway station nearby, about 7-8 minutes walk, no 12-13 minutes to the Gracia Metro Station, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera are nearby, completely walkable, and then walk for a while To the Plaza Catalunya, Inglis is on the side of the square, the airport bus, the city tour bus are on the square, so the hotel location is good. The second is that the hotel is a star hotel, facilities and services are good, clean and tidy, I feel that my choice is good, it is recommended. Thirdly, the hotel has a breakfast room 50 meters away from the hotel. The bread and coffee are cheap and good. The hotel is 150 meters away and there is a very popular Catalan restaurant. It is long queued every day. It is only three days before we turn. A meal, tastes good, and the price is not expensive.

GGuest UserThis is a solid three-star hotel once you get inside. The location is perfect, right on La Rambla, close to the squares and near the cruise port. The entry is a little hard to find and sketchy to say the least. There are three hotels that occupy the building. This hotel has three of the floors. You have to go up to the first floor to get to the lobby. They have a great security system and the interior of the hotel, while dated is nice ad clean. The staff is great especially the you man that helps with the luggage. He was working very hard every time I saw him. The rooms were clean and large, and the bathrooms and showers were great. Actually, the room were very large by most European standards. Our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave as well as a small balcony that overlooked La Rambla. A great location for people watching. The breakfast was substantial, and the 24-hour free beer, wine and snacks were also great. The snacks were really meals. Salads, pasta, bread etc. Lots of room to eat, including a large outside area. The price for what they offer is very reasonable and I would consider a repeat visit.

GGuest UserAvoid this hotel, This hotel has lot of problems specially for geust that are planning to stay longer than 3 dyas. Please read it till the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all the problems started before whe arrived with this hotel. Whe booked suite with an early checkin and sended an email with the question from wich time whe can checkin while whe booked an early checkin. Whe got an email back from manuela wich she didnt chekced my booking at all even i sended their my booking nr. She reply’s that early checkin is upon availability. After sending a mail back she says sorry about the misunderstanding because i have already booked the early checking, she just didnt checked my personal details before sending a email back. The next few days i sended a email again about taxi’s etc….and mosts email wont get answered. The days whe arrived in our suite. Huge leaking in the shower. Molt is growing on the wet carpet. Whe have reported this at least 4/5 times and only 2 times they taken action, ask this to the housekeepers and even they told me that they reported it many times. Whe are just suprised that they told us that the hotel staff isnt listen to them!. They just ingnore it in most cases. Guesst are not always able to use the swimming pool while you payed for the hotel as a guest becasue companies have to constantly rent the pool so that guests can't use it, especially in the evenings. We also noticed that noise from the roof daily. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof with music which is no problem at all, only the music is on so loud that you can hear it in the rooms. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof. very bad for the people who want to get up early the next morning or have to go to work so that their sleep is disturbed by this. Keycards in the lift/elevator are not workin gprperly. When you insert the card to go up it wont work. It turns out lot of guests having this issue. I contact the front office in regards to the lunch for 21 september because whe needed to check out at 07:00 and wont make it with the breakfast so asked them what their options are. as if it couldn’t be whorse. 1 male young employee who says on the front office at 19 september at 06:30- in the morning ”oooh no problem” i need to check with reservation departement you are a premium member , booked via our website, I can arrange for you to give you a refund for that day and having a take away breakfast isnt worth the money (in a verry rude and innoproriate way), seriously ? this is the way how you talk to your hotel guest ? the take away isnt worht it ??, asked for a confirmation email , he promised me to contact the reservation department and promise contact me to contact me at the end of the day but as expected nothing heard. End of the day i contacted the front office again and ofcourse i spoken to manueala, manuela told me its not possible to get a rufund wich is totally fine but how she know that ? without contacting reservation depa

GGuest UserStayed here at the end of August for 5 nights. Hotel is in a brilliant location. 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia also a 2 minute walk from the hop on hop off buses around the city. The staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I left my Apple Watch in the hotel and only realised when I had got through security at the airport. I rang the hotel and they found my watch in the room and helped me return it to myself which I am very grateful for. The room was cleaned every day while we were out. For the cost of the hotel, the location, cleanliness and hospitality was top notch. If I ever visit Barcelona again I would be sure to stop here any time.

The only bad thing I could say is that my room (individual) gave the stairs and the old lift (like here there is no living) heard absolutely everything. At the end to go to sleep and shower**** I don't think you need too much luxury because one is all day around seeing things.
