The good: Excellent location. walking distance to the most important temples, and THE VIEW from the restaurant is just amazing, directly across the river from wat arun, the sunset temple, and oh, the sunsets from there are unforgettable, totally worth it! They also have rooms with that same view. The rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. The bad: taxis, cars, Tuk tuks, cannot access so you have to walk about 100 meters, totally doable, but still…. The ugly: NO ELEVATOR, it’s just a couple floors, but when you’re templed out and dehydrated due to the scorching hot weather it’s a “nice to have” thing in your hotel…

I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit the three major temples and also be able to see Arun and eat. Breakfast is delicious. I left it in the save box and checked out, but the response was perfect. The warmth and kindness of the staff was clearly felt. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a boundary between the toilet and the bath, so I ended up getting flooded with water. However, if you want to feel Thailand, this is a recommended hotel. If I have a chance to go, I would like to go again.

Stayed here the 2nd time around and it was still a very pleasant stay. Definitely I will come back again. I prefer this hotel because the area is quiet, it is new and clean and it is close to major tourist attractions, the Wat Po and the Grand Palace. At first I booked the deluxe double room because I was alone however I found the room too small. So I transferred to a bigger room after 3 days, to a family room as it was the only available room during my stay. The family room however was way too big for 1 person. Anyhow, I will give an honest review here to help succeeding guests decide which room to choose. The deluxe double room is small in my assessment even for a single person. This type of room is just basically for sleeping and resting but not for relaxing. No place to hang clothes and with only a very tiny space for luggage. The toilet and bath though is very spacious.[
My next room was the family room which is perfect for couples, group of 3 to 4 persons and for a family of 4 members. I love the family room, it has separate toilet and bath, the powder room is spacious, there is place to hang clothes, a space to keep the luggages and it has 2 king size beds. In the past, we also tried the triple deluxe room and it is as good as the family room, the space is enough for a couple or for a group of 3 persons. The hotel is walkable to these tourist attractions mentioned above if you don't mind walking in the heat. Bangkok is warm all year round. There are two 7-11stores closeby. If you just explore and walk around this hotel, there are many restos and cafes to go to. You can ask for directions from the hotel reception. I passed by a fruit market while riding a taxi to Wat Po. Taking a taxi to the hotel from Wat Po area costs around 100 to 200 Baht depending on the time of the day. The rates are higher during rush hour and drivers charge more when it is raining. The reason they always say is because it is always too difficult to get into the area of Wat Po as it is always congested. There are many tuktuks in Wat Po area but tuktuks are expensive. By foot, it may take around 20 to 30 minutes depending on your pace and how good you are at navigating your way. By car it will take 7 to 10 minutes to get to Wat Po and Grand Palace.

Pros: Social atmosphere, nice and friendly staff, 10mins walk to Khaosan road, things are clean and value for money
Cons: local area, kinda hard to find the hostel , you’ll need to walk into a small street (but didn’t feel unsafe even walking alone at night), only got two bathrooms on each floor ;))

The place looked very different from the pictures. The building looked a bit old. But everything was super clean. The staff was amazing. The room was clean and the location was amazing. Close to Khao Sand Road(5min walk).
There was elevator available and we didn’t have time to get in the swimming pool but it looked nice.
If you need hairdryer, it’s available is you ask in the counter.
I had a good experience~ even if the pictures were different.

Good location as it was 2mins from Khaosan Road and 6mins from bus stops.
Due to being near to Khaosan Road it does get a bit noisy at night (especially Friday/Saturday night) but it doesn’t affect the ability to sleep - our room faced the road.
We did have to close the bathroom door as we could smell a sewage smell coming from the bathroom, it must’ve been somewhere in the pipes because we couldn’t see anything.

I was checked in earlier than the check in time with no problems. My stay was great because I wanted to be close to Khaosan Rd. The pool was small, but it was the nicest feature of the hotel because it was located on the rooftop. Ideal for a sunset view because it allows you to rest while enjoying the city view

We had an excellent stay - simple check-in/out and very clean rooms. The staff were so helpful with everything e.g. after I accidentally left my phone in the taxi - they helped us check the cctv footage & tried to find ways to contact the driver. No pool or fitness centre but that wasn't needed as we were out exploring all day. Right across the road from an MRT station (only 1 stop from Chinatown), and within walking distance to many main attractions. I'd definitely stay there again and would recommend Lub d to anyone else.

The rooms are spacious and clean. I booked a room with river-view. Nice but not really necessary. It's not an epic view. Haha! The TV lets you sign in into Disney, HBO, Netflix and other common providers. The showers are a thing for themselves. No real pressure! I think it's great for families and those who want to stay a little longer because the room had a really huge fridge.
The hotel itself doesn't provide breakfast, but has a complimentary snack bar where you can get coffee, tea and sweets. It's ok because you can walk less than 10 minutes to find food.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the stereotype of Thais being the most friendly people rings true!
The rooftop bar is nice at night, drinking a cocktail and you can eat seafood. Downstairs you have a normal restaurant and a buffet. The food looked good, and the restaurant seems to be a hotspot. It's been full every day. But since I travel alone.... You get the deal!
When I'm in Thailand again, I gladly book this hotel a second time.

I paid $55 for this hotel in BKK
Address: SCENE Bangkoknoi Hotel, 23/5 Arun Amarin Rd, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok 10700, Thailand
Price: 💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Located on the outskirts of Bangkok's main shopping area, this quiet little neighborhood is filled with cute, artistic cafes, perfect for someone seeking an escape from the bustling city.
I booked a night stay here because it seemed more convenient for traveling to DMK airport the next day, while having a full day to explore this part of Bangkok.
After much research, I settled for this hotel. It offered a clean, bright, and spacious room with à la carte breakfast for two, all for just $55/night. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven only 350 meters away. The pool and lounge area were so cute and photo-worthy, but we skipped it this time as we forgot our swimwear.
Check-in was easy, though you can only get your room after 2 PM, and they do require a 1000 baht cash deposit. We left our bags at the lobby, which were brought up to our rooms as we explored late into the evening.
The room was generally beautifully decorated, but upon closer inspection, it wasn't the cleanest. There were stains on the sheets and walls. Fortunately, there were no drainage smells or mold, which would have been a nightmare. There were ants on the bathroom sink area, which was an easy fix. The water temperature was unstable; we had to bathe in cold to room-temperature water at night and in the morning.
For the price paid and for only one night, these issues weren't too problematic. The hotel was safe, the room floor was clean, the air conditioning worked great, and there was plenty of space to put our items. The room also came with YouTube and Netflix, perfect to pair with your supper. The bed was so soft, we couldn't get up the next morning!
The breakfast was simple, with two choices: Western or Asian. We opted for the American breakfast, which had a generous portion of eggs, potatoes, salad, bacon, bread, and sausage. The orange juice paired with it was a perfect cleanser. If you prefer a more local breakfast, they offer pork congee.
I would stay here again if I decide to visit this part of Bangkok. Tip: Book 2-3 months in advance for a cheaper price.

Outstanding
JJkoh1Good location. Directly linked to MBK (via level 2) and National Stadium BTS. There’s a 7-11 at level 1. Modern and clean room. Buffet breakfast spread was good and some food items were changed daily. Go before 9am to avoid queues. Can reach Siam square, Siam paragon in less than 15min walk. However sound proof is quite bad. Can hear the traffic sound at night on level 19
TtheshortmonsterI recently stayed at the Courtyard Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The hotel is centrally located between Asok and Phrom Pong station, very near to Terminal 21 and the new Emsphere shopping centre. And there are a wide selection of good clean massage shops outside the hotel.
The check in process was smooth and efficient. Even though I checked in very late close to midnight, the staff at the reception were very welcoming. The staff was very kind to upgrade me to a room that comes with a bathtub! Appreciate the very kind gesture.
The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and I appreciate the amenities provided. The housekeeping team did an excellent job as will in maintaining the room each day.
The service from the concierge staff was exceptional as well. They were always friendly, professional and eager to assist with my requests.
Overall, I highly recommend Courtyard Bangkok Sukhumvit 20. The combination of excellent service, convenient location and very comfortable room made my stay truly enjoyable.
CChanida KanmuangNice for a short stay for waiting the flight. The location is not far from the airport and convenient to drive to the airport at night without traffic jams.
SSidney JohnGreat hotel when needing a simple, easy hotel for a short stay! My go to when in the city for a quick trip knowing i'll be out most of the time!
GGuest UserGood location, near Samyan mrt station, nice hotel with nice interior and friendly staffs, like the breakfast restaurant ambience relax and cozy, and with good variety of food choices, gym is well equipped
SStephenhotel to try out I’ve stayed in most hotel in the SUKHUMVIT…. Beds and pillows and shower location and all the staff are amazing and very friendly that stay with out let letting you no …. I really enjoy staying there when I can get in …pool area was nice super location food and drinks
AAnonymous UserThe staffs care only about foreigners, a Thai person as myself always got ignored by the staffs. When I drive into the hotel, there was no security guard at all and when I parked my car, no staffs were there to offer me help to or tell me where the lobby is. The signs were confusing. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, they don’t change the bedsheets or bathrobes at all, I came back to still found the dirty bathrobe I left on the floor being picked up and hanged back on the door hook. I wouldn’t trust them for the cleanliness of the room after seeing this. The room is not soundproof at all, you can hear all the sounds outside in the hallway and I can even see the light from the hallway all night so it didn’t offer me even the basic like goodnight of sleep for 3 days because all I can hear is the other rooms’ door closing sound all night for 3 nights. Even worse, the policy is no smoking but I can smell smoking everyday that I stayed here. I told the staffs 3 times but they didn’t take any action at all. Until the last night, I came back early and saw the room next to my room openly smoking in their room. Plus My room lights also all went out when I inserted my keycard, I thought my keycard was faulty so I went down to the lobby to change my keycard and complaint to the staffs about the smoking and the loud sound. They offer apologies and they said they would take action about the smoking. They even have the audacity to ask me why I don’t tell them earlier and do I know which room smoke. I’m a woman staying here alone, even if I heard or smell anything, would I dare to go out of my room to check? Common sense right? At last they resolved the smoking issues because when I went back to my room after I complained, the room next door was shut tight but I came back to my room still unclean (at this point it was 5pm already and I left my room at 8am, plenty of time to clean my room). The lights still wouldn’t turn on, I tried calling them from the room line but the staffs wouldn’t pick up the phone. I had to go out of my room to find the housekeeper and had them call someone to fix this. Half an hour later, the handyman showed up, told me he needed 1-1.5 hours to get this fix and proceeded to ask me if I hade some business to run. I said fine because I had some appointment and I would be back around 8-9 pm. I came back at around 10pm, I asked the lobby staffs if my room got fixed already, they said yes and please go check it myself if the lights came back, if not they would change the room for me. So I got back to my room. I was lying down ready to go to sleep when, tada!, the room’s light and ac went out again. I called them from the room line again, lucky they picked up this time, I told them I would like to get my room changed. They said would send staffs to help me move my stuffs. I cleaned up my things while waiting for staff to show up and show me a new room (during this time, the light came back and went out repeatedly for 2-3 time). I had to wait for them for 10 minutes at 11am. They moved my stuffs to the new room in the same floor but a bit smaller room. I wanted to get my sleep so I didn’t complain about the room being smaller and not what I had paid for. I got to go to sleep at about 12-1 am. In the morning, at around 11am they called me asking me would I be checking out today. I mean they wouldn’t even offer me late checkout for what I had to really because of your faulty electricity and all the problems that had occurred while I was staying here. I wouldn’t stay here again😤.
JJohnny EuroIt's our second time staying in this hotel. The workers are very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The rooms have shampoo, soaps, water, fridge, toiletries, and a big bath. The breakfast is more Asian style with some European style pastries and bread available. It tastes nice tho. Free coffee all day too. Check in and check out can take a little bit of time, so be patient for that as the hotel does have a lot of rooms. Walking distance to big shopping malls and has restaurants, 7-11's, massage shops, cafes and bars nearby.
GGuest UserInspite of the Google reviews not being so positive, we thought the hotel was not bad especially for the price we paid for 4 days. Had all the amenities and the room looked nice too. We didn’t hear any noises from the nearby club at night. Definitely an older hotel but it’s got a charm to it. Room service and hotel staff were always quick to help when needed. We got their breakfast on the last day and it was one of the tastiest pad Thai I’ve had, along with many more breakfast options. Loved we had a washer/dryer in our room and it worked pretty well. Wish they had given us a small sachet of laundry detergent so that we don’t have to buy one only to waste it. Finding a Grab was not too bad to and from Bangkok downtown. Never got to check the pool or the gym because we were too jet lagged but looked good in the pics. We would definitely recommend this
GGuest UserLove Furama Silom! Located in very good spot in Silom. We booked superior room and it was very spacious with Bangkok city view (*pic), bed was good quality and we always had good sleep, breakfast was amazing and they have wide variety (asian, western, salads, coffees, juices, pastries), staff was friendly and speak English well. Their restaurant room service also worth to try, especially ‘Thai green curry’! My favorite is the view from the rooftop pool 🌃 also 711 is just 2 buildings down the road. Def had lovely experience and can’t wait to go back to BKK and stay here again :)
