Shimla Hotels with Balcony

The thing that makes this hotel stand head and shoulders above the rest is the quality of its staff. Throughout our stay here, from welcoming us on arrival, showing us to our room and the service we had in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner, the staff were phenomenal. Well done to you all! We stayed for 3 nights in a Valley View Room (room 417). We had a la carte dinners on two nights in the restaurant, and the food was excellent. The breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately, during our stay, we could not use the swimming pool as it was closed for refurbishment. However, provision was made to use the swimming facilities at The Cecil's sister hotel, Wildflower Hall, on the outskirts of Shimla. We had a lovely time at The Cecil, and I have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous hotel.

The property is beautiful, view is great. The staff is very sweet and attended us well. Special mention- Gungun from reception, Deepak from restaurant, Preeti from fnb service, Sheetal and Sunita from housekeeping and Bunty from security. The activity tie up is very nice, Anil and Mohit from activity team were amazing guides and we had a great experience with them. Thank you Taj for building this property in such a terrain. We planned a visit to Himachal only because of Taj.🤗❤️

Chef Rajat, your team deserves a massive applause the food was something else- Nikhil made us the most amazing Himachal specialties, Naru made the best pasta and Bunti looked after the rest. Kasuhik mixed us the yummiest mocktails. The entire restaurant team- Biswajit, Suman, Pratik, Hritik, Mrutanjay, Anuhsk, Rahul, Rupali, Anadica, Aki, Roshni, Rakshita, Akshay, Ayushi, Akarshita and the two who were superb with Aadiir- Shilpa and Anamika, who know what we liked and what we did not like within the first day- all of you guys please take a bow, you have been so so delightful with us, always a smile and never a no. As vivek rightfully mentioned, they are all empowered to make decisions and make the guest experience nothing less than exceptional. This is a good hotel at Shimla Mall. Location: Right beside Mall elevator, just 30 mtr there is huge multilevel govt. parking space. It is on mall road and car can also get into the premises at entrace (ground floor). top floor connect mall road and they have own elevator. Amenities: central heating, playroom, even a Disco Food: Good food (room is with CP), restaurant is good, they also have bar with great view of town and you can also see the shimla church at a distance. Bakery is also in house. Room Tip: Basic room are on lower floor, luxury rooms are on upper floor and top floors are suite / family room. Comberemere luxury room are just fine for small family as they have king bed with road and city view.

The moment we stepped into Shimla British Resort, we were in awe of the lovely antique furniture and beautiful woodwork that gave the place a true heritage feel. The cozy bedrooms were perfect for the chilly weather, and waking up to the cool Shimla breeze was so refreshing. Babita and the team were always around to assist, making our stay all the more pleasant. A must-visit if you love history and comfort!
