The room we had was on the front near the entrance and the road is very busy. The room had no fan or air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open. We got very little sleep with noise from the street and people coming in. The shower had caused the bathroom door to warp as it sprayed water out the end. The fridge did not work. Staff were told but nothing changed. Breakfast was very plain and sparse. No refill on the water cooler or other food as it was used up. Pillows were not good.

I cannot tell you how brilliant this hotel is. Fantastic welcoming staff. Nothing is roo much trouble. Lovely room and a great garden menu. They accommodate also a,vegan menu. It's quiet with amazing views of the valley below assisi and an easy walk to shops and anywhere you want to go to ob assisi

Sadly we only stayed one night in Assisi which is an absolutely charming town!! The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was very comfortable!! The shower in the bathroom has a tub which has a high step to get in to, not a problem for us, but if this is a concern inquire if they have rooms without the tub option. Our room was on the valley side so we had an incredible view. Breakfast was your standard selection of pastries, eggs, bacon, fruit and cheeses. Many of the streets in Assisi are steep as is the one the hotel is on. There is not much parking specifically for the hotel, we had a driver so this was not an issue for us as we did not have a vehicle that needed to be parked. The hotel is located within walking distance of shops and many sites, but as I said the streets are quite steep so take this into account when planning your visit!

We enjoyed our stay at Fontebella Palace in Assisi and particularly appreciated the nice view from our room, probably the best breakfast during our 3 week stay in Italy, good location and helpful staff.

We received a warm welcome and our rom was ready early. Assisi is exceptionally steep so while the hotel is not far from anywhere it extremely hard walking. This meant getting to dinner was not easy. The hotel restaurant was very expensive. Breakfast too was a fairly ordinary affair although those staff were terrific. Suggest staying mote centrally.

Italy has always been on my bucket list! We toured several towns, toured a Winery that included a lunch of wine tasting with different charcuterie trays. Our entire tour group purchased some of their wines and had them shipped back to the states! We ended the trip in Rome and were able to see the Pope!
