I had booked a room at the Marriott Courtyard in Arlington and received a call right before my flight that was taking off saying the hotel was overbooked and they could not take me in at 7 PM when I am suppose to be checking in at 9 PM. I asked them to call around and Andrew James the Assistant Manager at Marriott Fairfield went out of his way to accommodate me for my 5 day long business trip. It is rare when traveling to actually find individuals that will go out of their way to help you in your time of need but Andrew did just that for me. He gave me his personal cell phone, made sure the staff knew I would be coming in and had a room all setup for me even though they were completely sold out because of a Cowboys game that evening. He creates such a family culture and all the folks in the hotel were just so friendly and helpful. They made my stay so great so I could focus on business and just wanted to say they have earned my business whenever I am in Arlington. By the way, the facilities are just amazing with a great workout equipment, close to the mall for shopping / entertaining and just a great location for getting around town. I hope you all get a chance to have the same experience that I received from Andrew and the Marriott team. Great job and thank you again for the kind hospitality!

The front desk staff at this hotel needs training. We arrived on a Sat evening. The exterior phone didn't work so they could let us in and the woman working was very put out that she had to get up to open the door (they lock it past a certain time). She seemed to change her tune when she saw the Silver Elite status my husband has. But every person we talked to at the desk seemed bothered by having to answer questions. They were more interested in reading their books. One of pet peeves with hotels is if sheets don't fit. Our second night none of the bedding stayed in place, making for a long night. We asked for replacements but they weren't any better. The hotel is LOUD. It's right next to Six Flags so there I ride noise as well as bad highway noise. The decaf coffee was cold every morning, as were the egg breakfasts were pretty boring and repetitive. They had the TV blaring at breakfast, no one was watching. I asked to have it turned off but was ignored. And there was no ice machine on the second floor.
