Avoid at all costs Please read and do your homework before selecting this hotel. Me and my partner found it strange how there was no reviews on trip advisor since 2022!! It also makes sense now that all the reviews say how great the owners are. We are trying to warn you, if you book this you will regret it. We booked through love holidays and let me say the pictures make this look ok. Very misleading!! As the ‘owner’ says ‘I make my website look good for people. We couldn’t agree more as the website was a huge catfish and nothing like what we lived in for a week. We arrived at around 1am, we thought the transfer-driver was joking when he said we had arrived at kasapakis apartments! We got off our transfer and felt completely devastated. The front/reception looks absolutely disgusting, Like an old abandoned restaurant! We waited in an empty reception with no one around at all for approximately 5 minutes but put this down to it being early hours of the morning. The little reception area stinks of cigarettes. It’s old , tacky and dirty. Not a great start. Michael ‘the owner’ greeted us and took our details, he asked why we didn’t upgrade our room within the first five minutes of speaking to him. As anyone would - we said we had only just arrived and that the website looks lovely. We couldn’t of been further from that. ‘The owner’ asked if we wanted air conditioning at an extra charge of 7euros per night, as it was so late we just wanted to sleep and said we would decide if we needed it or not tomorrow or later in the week. At this time ‘the owner’ had no issue with this. We were directed where to go and made our way to our room. There is no lighting on the walkway up the path to the rooms, with cat sick / faeces everywhere. We entered our room and was upset with the decision we made to book this place and realised we had made a huge mistake in selecting this hotel. The room is beyond basic and disgusting. The sun beds, apartment table and chairs are so dirty-they are disgusting. There was blood on the sheet and pillow, the lovely cleaner changed these the following day after I spent an uncomfortable night on a springy mattress with no sheet and the beds are cheap and so low to the ground. The bathroom if you call it that, is shocking. The shower is literally a tray ( a small tray )with a hand held shower head with rust in most areas. No plugs for the sinks, no utensils at all for the kitchen area. So as the week went on, we were getting bit my the mosquitos at night as we had to have the doors and cell window ( bathroom window ) open all night due to the heat. There are no mosquito nets provided, So we decided that we would ask ‘the owner’ If we could have air conditioning for the last 2 nights to make the rest of our stay as comfortable as possible! At the time in reception when we approached this he had a gentleman there who he felt the need to maybe, show off in front of. We asked for air conditioning he said - how long for. We said ‘2 nights’ he

WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING —— Please read and do your homework before selecting this shambles of a hotel. Me and my partner found it strange how there was no reviews on trip advisor since 2022!! It also makes sense now that all the reviews or majority of them are written by “the owner” if you notice they all say how great the owners are. This apartment within very easy reach of Heraklion airport (20 mins by car) with free parking. The accommodation was basic but surprisingly comfortable. The shower not ideal as no curtain and a wayward shower head. The air conditioning was excellent and included. The bed was good and the kitchen very handy. The room was cleaned everyday and everyone was very friendly and helpful especially Michael the owner. They even have a well priced spa with masseuse. The pool was lovely and very relaxed. The location was really good. Walking distance from the village and just over the road from the sea and also next door to a supermarket, extensive gift shop and cash till. You can even catch a cute little land train for 5 euros to nearby Hersonissos 15 mins away. There was a nice gift shop and cafe where you could buy breakfast and drinks. If I were to find any fault it would be the tiles on the way to the apartment with were very very slippy when wet. Also, painting the door to my apartment which was badly peeling would have given a nicer feel to my stay. For price it was excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Kasapakis to attend a wedding at Stella Island. My 13 year old daughter and I fully enjoyed our stay. Michael & Maria were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The bar has beautiful views of the sea and it’s very close to all local bars and restaurants. The apartment and pool areas were very clean and the service was very good.

Beautiful Greek apartments and Michalis and Maria are so lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I was actually there on the day that the previous review was left by KATIE. I was in the pool bar when KATIE came in and asked Michalis for Quote' soup ladle, chef knife and an oven. He explained in a calm way that they are not provided. In my.opinion if guests are looking for a fully equipped kitchen they need to move up to a 5 star and pay a lot more for that. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Mine is to remind future guests. There is always 2 sides to every complaint. Thank you to Michalis and Maria for a fabulous holiday. Be back again next year! Linda.

We booked this for a two week summer holiday and were greatly looking forward to our stay. However, once we arrived it was clear we had made a great error in judgement when booking this hotel. We booked through *********** (which stated aircon was included) but upon arrival we were told there was an additional charge of 7 euros per day for this, which we could not justify paying and when queried with the owner he stated that it was not his concern and that we should take it up with ***********. I understand that this problem wasn't necessarily the owners fault, however his attitude that a third party potentially misadvertising his business was the customers problem and not his I find frustrating. He was rude, argumentitive and condescending and not willing to help at all. He further went on to say that he wasn't a con artist and that once I'd spoken to *********** I could come back and tell him he was right and I was wrong. I also tried to speak with him regarding the lack of any utensils to cook as it was advertised as self catering with a kitchenette, but there was the bare minmum with nothing to cook with and everything was dirty, but he advised me he has friends with hotels and it is quite standard, however we have stayed at many self catering hotels in Greece and never had this issue before. I then broached the subject of the shower being an issue as there is no screen or curtain and it just soaks the whole bathroom including the toilet and toilet roll holder and makes the floor very slippery. Upon hearing this he advised we had a bathroom mat to "fix" this issue, I stated we did not and he even argued with me on that before concluding he would get the cleaner to check the following day. I also had to bring up the fact that the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in your back as you tried to sleep and he denied there was an issue as his other customers had not complained and refused to even come and look at the beds. Therefore I asked for extra pillows and even this was a struggle for him and he said he would see what he could find and get the maid to bring the following day. We have never had such a host with such unwillingness to help. I quickly realised that we were not getting anywhere and the conversation was getting heated so I left the situation. The following day we did recieve one pillow (there was two of us) and one cutting knife that was absolutley filthy, along with the bathmat that did nothing to resolve the bathroom issue. There was blood on the wall in the bathroom and room, that had not been cleaned from previous guests and cleanliness as a whole was poor. The extractor fan light was broken, the pans were broken, two of the lights did not work, the tv did not work, along with many other issues. In greece we expect a basic room on our budget but have never had so many problems and a hotel owner not willing to rectify anything. We complained to our booking provider and were getting nowhere with

Very friendly welcome from Michael who helped us with anything throughout both stays. We stayed in room 11 on both occasions which has wonderful sea view and of the sunrise. (Sunset from front door side). The beach is just across the road or nice walk to the sandier areas. Couple of supermarkets close by or a bit cheaper if you walk up to the village where you'll also find a butcher etc. Sea road is flat and restaurants within 10-15 mins walk away. The room was kept very clean with plenty of changes of towels and sheets. The beds were comfy with bunk beds if you have kids. A little tight on space around the bed and getting to wardrobe. The room had a safe which was included in price (made a nice change). (Air Con was extra at 7 euros per day). There was plenty of hot water at all times. Wifi was free and worked everywhere. The small complex felt secure and other visitors were friendly. The pool area was great. Plenty of beds and umbrellas with the bar alongside. The following points are not complaints but if you intend to do some self-catering, you might want to pack, or be prepared to buy, the following items - sink plug, dishcloth/tea towel, cleaning items and be aware there are limited cooking utensils. (We purchased a spatula as we like fried eggs for breakfast) Also to let you know they have a friendly medium sized dog and there are cats around - not strays - all fed. One thing I would have preferred was a hook to hold the shower above my head, rather than hand held and a shelf in bathroom so didn't have to pick shower gel from floor (I'm not particularly mobile) Michael and Maria are gradually renovating the little complex so some paint work looks tired at the moment. Very relaxing holiday and the little train trip was fun too. Would happily return again.
