1659年的建築,家庭四人間在地下室,沒有隔音,很吵,半夜有醉漢在外面叫,樓上衹要有人走動,全部傳導到地下室,樓梯很窄,行李是拿不下去的。。帶孩子就不建議住了

Stayed here for 3 nights on cricket tour. Solid and clean. En suite shower and minibar. Comfortable twin beds but scarce wardrobe or drawers space. No bar or breakfast room. Friendly front desk. What makes it is location. Near Rembrandtsplein. 20 minutes walk to station or Rijksmuseum. Canal views but only a few rooms. Very steep stairs so don’t book if you have suitcases or weak knees! Otherwise functional.

A fabulous location right in the heart of Amsterdam. Very friendly and comfortable small hotel in a historic town house. Comfortable and clean room. Staff were very welcoming and helpful Very steep staircases so do not advise having big heavy suitcases

Location is fine but that’s the only thing this hotel has going for it. Would not recommend and way overpriced for tourists. Be aware also that there are no breakfast/dining facilities at this hotel. The rooms are old, stale and musty. The smell each time we entered was actually overpowering. We experienced two rooms as our friends were also staying at the hotel, so we know it wasn’t just ours. Our window overlooked a dingy alleyway with an iron stairwell full of bins, rubbish from a kitchen and guys smoking (have attached pics). Bottom line is that there many, many hotels in Amsterdam offering far better value with clean rooms and where you’ll have a much nicer experience. I’d avoid this hotel like the plague.

TRATO HORRIBLE.

My boyfriend and I just stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! We booked pretty last minute but managed to get the last canal view room (room 207) and it was so worth it! The room was lovely, really good size, very clean, bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and not to mention the view! Large windows let in so much light and made the most of the outlook over the beautiful Amstel Canal and the surrounding iconic Amsterdam architecture. The bathroom in our room was also lovely, again a very decent size, large shower with great water pressure and temperature. Hand soap dispenser and body wash dispenser and hairdryer also provided. Room also came with a good wardrobe for hanging up clothes, a flat screen TV, a mini bar and coffee machine. The wardrobe had a small ironing board and you just had to request an iron when you needed it which was never a problem. All the staff we dealt with were really friendly and helpful - and like nearly everyone in Amsterdam, spoke perfect English. When we checked in we were given recommendations on where to eat as well as discounts for renting bikes and for a local breakfast spot near by. Hotel is in an excellent location just around the corner from Rembrandt square that has lots of restaurants/bars and cafes. The square also has the nearest tram stop. Reception for the hotel is open from 8am -10pm and the front door is locked at 10pm for the protection of the guests which made us feel extra safe and they explain thoroughly how to gain access to the hotel after hours. Just a note for anyone with mobility issues or travelling with lots of luggage - there is no elevator and the stairs are small and steep to get up to rooms, we managed fine and thought it added character to the building and had a good laugh coming back at night after a few beers!! We would hurry back to stay here again and highly recommended it to anyone. Thanks so much for having us :)

Stayed here for 3 days. The pictures make it look nicer than it is in person. Requires updating in parts. Rooms were not very big as the pictures made them look like. The rooms were a little basic. Could hear and feel vibrations as people passing the corridor and no view at the back of building. Has everything you needed. We spent little time in the room as out all day each day just used it for sleeping and shower. The staff were relatively friendly. Quaint boutique hotel with character. It’s in a great location to bars, restaurants, shops. Right on the doorstep to Rembrandt square. There’s plenty on offer in the area. So if you just need somewhere to sleep it’s ideal

My mother and I had a five day reservation in April. I had previously stayed at the hotel and had a good experience. When checking in this time we were assigned a room right next to the front desk. At first this seemed convenient as it didn’t require climbing the steep stairs. Once we were in the room my thoughts quickly changed. I know that we didn’t select a view room (this doesn’t seem to be an option in our room type when booking) so the lack of view was fine. The rest of the room turned out not to be. First, there was a vague mold or sewer smell. Second, this room clearly wasn’t an original part of the building. It had a drop ceiling that allowed so to hear everything from the room upstairs all night long and all morning. After a sleepless night we checked out early. After this experience I will not be returning. I have asked for a refund and so far have received no communication from management.

This hotel is one of Amsterdam's old "dancing" houses, so called because of their squinty. leaning aspect. If you have any mobility problems from health, inebriation, inappropriate footwear or large cases, you might find the steep winding staircases an issue but we (two old age pensioners) had no problem with it. Our room on the second floor, was very comfortable with a lovely view over the Amstel and combined with the historic nature of the building made it a very special experience. Everything was very clean too. The reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay.
