Probably the worst Swiss I was staying in so far. Cons: Poor breakfast, level of service and amenities is barely a 4 star. Super slow stuff, you have to ask many times for same things with no response , stuff wasn’t very friendly, we didn’t felt welcomed. No spoons in a room , we asked for bathrobe for a child and didn’t get one in 2 days. Very small kids club for such a big hotel. Pros: Beautifully designed new hotel, clean, great location and nice view. Barbeque restaurant by the lake was beautiful too, nice pools and spas. Great surroundings with forest and nature

Our stay at Ritz-Carlton Almaty was exceptional, in fact our fav part of the city as tourists. The best part was the warm service from the staff, in particular thanks to Yekaterina (Kate), Malika, and concierge lady. Kate was welcoming and informative upon check in. Guest service staff Malika gave us attentive care throughout our stay and accommodated our preferences, which truly enhanced our experience in the country. Concierge lady gave us comprehensive advice on where to visit. The view from both our room and the Sky Lounge was unparalleled. Snow-capped mountains framed the landscape, offering a mesmerizing backdrop that undoubtedly ranks among the best in Almaty. Will definitely come back here if we’re back in the city.

From my point of view, the Holiday Inn Express Almaty is truly exceptional. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for guests. The customer service is outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to meet guests' needs. The food offerings are diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes. The hotel's location provides breathtaking views of the surrounding area, adding to the overall experience. Additionally, Mr. Nurbek Dauitov, the front office manager, deserves special recognition for his exceptional assistance and dedication to ensuring guests have a memorable stay. His professionalism and helpfulness contribute significantly to the hotel's excellent reputation.

Holiday Inn Almaty, there are many Indians staying here. Compared with other hotels in Almaty, this hotel feels much better. When you go to Almaty, you should stay in an international brand hotel, which is more secure and reassuring.

Oh what to say about this hotel ! Some of the staff very much helpful but most of them are pretty much not interested to understand or listen at all. Old building for sure. Room lights are warm but dull warm. Room key card doesn’t work most of the times. Don’t be surprise if the hot water turns the chilled water out of the blue and for long hours or the day.

Excellent location, first class service at this well established hotel, with a long tradition formerly managed by the hero who in his younger years put the victory flag over Reichstag in Berlin. This hotel is modern renovated and decorated to s high standard, esthetically and technically. Heating works like a clock, andvroom have s balcony with nice views, with no traffic noise. Nice breakfast too There are Whoosh Jet and Yandex scooters, cable car, parks, pedestrian street, subway all within walking distance.

This is the most satisfying hotel I stayed in Kazakhstan. It was worth the 800+ yuan! The room was super big. Floor-to-ceiling windows, beautiful scenery outside, new facilities, very clean! Unfortunately, I had to catch a flight very early in the morning, so I didn't have breakfast! A highly recommended hotel!

Miss Dana at the concierge is very helpful as my hubby was not feeling well and need to go to A&E. She told us that the hospital does not open 24hrs. She said she will call an ambulance for us. As we do not speak their native language, she was kind to arrange everything for us and told us to wait in our room. When the Medics came, Mr Anton at the concierge was in the midnight shift, he came up to us and was so kind to gave his mobile number in case we have problems at the hospital and to call him at anytime. We sincerely appreciate Miss Dana and Mr Anton for their impeccable service and kindness.

Very small room actually.Looks definitely less then 25 m2 And the real size of the QUEEN BED IS LESS THEN 1.8m and it was 1.5.The bad was uncomfortable and the linen was not soft. Every day we need to ask 1 more overall for bathroom cuz everyday we has only one in my room.And the same story with teeth brush.The room was booked for 2 by the way. Staff is actually good and pleasant! The main disadvantage is SMALL BED and small room-very tine for two people (we are about 170 cm tall). The breakfast is nice. Actually this hotel is overpriced for that kind of room provided

Subject: Excellent Location, but Overpriced and Outdated Rooms I stayed at Hotel Kazakhstan in Almaty for more than 10 days, drawn initially by its prime location. The hotel’s location is indeed its biggest strength—bang on the main road with excellent accessibility to various parts of the city, making it convenient for travelers. The property itself is a heritage hotel, and while it has its charm, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel is quite old, though the upkeep and concierge services were commendable. However, the parking facility was a major issue. During snowfall, it became extremely messy, and entering the hotel was quite challenging. Regarding the rooms, my experience varied throughout the stay: • The initial superior room booked online was decent, offering good space and facilities. • The “supreme premium superior” room I opted for later was disappointing—it was smaller, with a worse layout and fewer amenities than the superior room, which was surprising and frustrating. • For the last three days, I upgraded to a junior suite. While it offered more space, the layout and overall upkeep of the room felt outdated, leaving much to be desired. A consistent issue across all three rooms was the drainage system in the washrooms, which was poorly maintained and created unnecessary inconvenience. The breakfast provided as part of the stay had a wide selection and was good. However, the menu did not change for all nine days, which became monotonous for a longer stay. Room dining, though available, could be significantly improved in terms of quality and variety. Overall, while the location of Hotel Kazakhstan is unbeatable and perfect for those who want to stay in the heart of the city, the property feels overpriced given the outdated facilities and lack of variety in services. I would only recommend it to travelers with a good budget who prioritize location and heritage charm over modern amenities.
