Guesthouse of Alcobaça

Magnificent guest house 500 meters from the monastery. Very stylish place. The design is eclectic, but it doesn't spoil it. We had a bed with massive knobs and a high carved headboard as if from the XIX century and a modern room. The toilet and shower were nearby, but shared. Beautiful lobby, there is a kitchen with stove and refrigerator (not used). Breakfast is modest. The staff is friendly. There's even ping-pong. If we had stayed longer, we would have played!
Vale d'Azenha Hotel Rural & Residences

Stayed here for one night while taking in the area surrounding Batalha / Alcobaça / Nazaré and found this to be the perfect place to rest our head for the night. The beds were comfortable, the design was aesthetically pleasing, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location was ideally suited to visit all three places (two of which are listed as UNESCO sites). The staff were also quite accommodating, having rectified a small issue with the wifi efficiently and with extremely grace. The only slight drawback that I can mention during our stay was that the water temperature varied quite frequently, but that can be easily forgotten once the rest of the property and its many amenities are taken into account. Highly recommended. And although we didn’t manage to have dinner on the property, we’d highly recommend Pangeia in Nazaré if you’re ever in the region; a perfect compliment to your stay.
Challet Fonte Nova

Our experience was absolutely phenomenal. We were greeted by Maria as soon as we parked our car ( yes! parking is on the property, easy and free). Maria is a wonderful host and very charming person. She is local and knows bests in and out for the tourists in the area. The building has an elevator, big plus. Our room was impeccably clean and we had a good rest before departing to the next stop. Breakfast is very good, served downstairs and everything is fresh and tasty. The hotel is a very nice remodeled Chalet. We loved absolutely everything: the location, our room, small garden, breakfast and, of course, Maria. Maria called and scheduled next morning massage with a very talented professional . My legs were very tired after trip to Sintra and I was back to normal after an hour of the massage. We are going back to Alcobaca and Maria's Chalet on our next trip to Portugal. There is more to explore in the area!
Albergaria Pedra d'Ouro

For those who seek a quiet, quiet and welcome weekend to the Golden Stone Hostel is the recommended; not forgeting the magnificent view of the beach, and the sympathy of the Ines manager, which is of 5 stars, breakfast with quality, spain rooms, and an appealing decoration.
Your Hotel & Spa Alcobaça

I was in the most famous SPA of the moment in Portugal (1st February weekend), a chaos, a overpower of people, some disorganization in check-in, distorted information sharing by some officials. When the main reason is to enjoy a space that provides relaxation and well-being, they should be more careful in the hygiene and cleaning of swimming pools, because this particular point is about public health. The complex was not cleaned between 03/02 and 04/02. Check-in only at 16:00, when you access the SPA is already full. No sprinklers, no place to put towels, a chaos. As it's all organized, I think it's not far. There are many spas spread across Portugal, smaller but with excellent hygiene and comfort.
