Do NOT GO to the restaurant, Koomo, on the 10th floor for dinner. The worst service we have had in any Crowne Plaza, or in any restaurant in Adelaide, and the most incompetent management to fix a very trivial issue. Last night my wife and I had booked a table for 6 people - two clients and two colleagues from Sydney and Perth. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived. There were only 2 waitresses working in the restaurant, and it took us more than half an hour to be given menus, and a wine order to be taken. It took another 20 minutes, after asking many times, for our food order to be taken. Two of our guests ordered a la carte from the menu, and the other four wanted to try the ”tasting menu” - more expensive than the al la carte menu, with various preset courses. This is where things really started to go wrong. The tasting menu consisted of a choice between beef and chicken. Three people wanted beef and the other person wanted chicken. We were told by the waitress that the kitchen would not cook only one chicken for one person, and that two people would have to have this - in other words the four people could be served either all beef, or 2 chicken + 2 beef, but not 1 chicken and 3 beef. We really thought the waitress was joking, but realised she was serious. We asked her, very politely, if she could have a word with the kitchen and try to arrange this ”difficult” request. Some 15 minutes later the waitress returned and told us that it was not possible and the kitchen was not prepared to cook only one portion of chicken - it must be two portions and somebody else in our group wanting beef should cancel his beef and eat chicken instead. We asked to see the manager to see if he could sort this out, and very clearly told the waitress that if we could not get the food we wanted from the menu, then we would leave and go to another restaurant. No manager came to see us, but the waitress returned and told us that she had discussed with the manager and that the kitchen still refused to cook only one portion of chicken. We were not impressed. We paid the bill for the wine, put on our coats and left the restaurant. As we were leaving someone from management (hotel or restaurant?) came to us and asked if we could reconsider and stay, and he would ”try” and convince the kitchen. Too late - our first experience of trying the Koomo restaurant had already been spoiled - poor service from the beginning and no feeling whatsoever for handling customers, and not any attempt to fix the very minor point of what we wanted to order by the management, until we were actually leaving. I do not blame the waitress - she was caught in the middle with no support from the kitchen staff or the management. This is absolutely a management issue - one of making sure that all staff are trying their best to give good service to their customers, especially if the restaurant is selling itself as a high end one. Needless to say none of the six of us will go back, and a

Lovely, clean apartment, excellent location for walking around Adelaide CBD. I stayed here for 4 nights with my partner and 4 year old, we had a 2 bedroom apartment. Excellent value. The apartment was very clean, has a kitchen containing most things you would need, although we didn't actually cook any meals, just used plates etc for serving take away, so can't comment on the cooking equipment. Full size fridge, plus a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and hair dryer meant the apartment was very well equipped overall. The Tv is a smart TV so we could use abc kids for our 4 year old and presumably you could log in to your own streaming services. The only thing to take note of is that the desk is only manned during business hours and there is no check in option after 9pm, I didn't realise this (my fault for not checking), so we had to book a cheap hotel near the airport for our first night as we flew in after 10pm. We checked in around 9am the next day. It's a short walk to Rundle Mall so you have lots of eating and shopping very close by. Parking available in secure carpark $25 per night, but do make sure you book ahead as there are limited spaces.

Ibis Adelaide was a great location that was central to shops, groceries, transit, restaurants and cool sites. The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was bright. The air conditioning/heating feature was pleasant. Having a big screen tv in the room was nice for relaxing after a long day of site seeing. I will be sure to stay at Ibis hotels for my future travels

The hotel is located on a side road which is easily missed. We had to take another turn to locate it.
Car parking is at a public location just down the road.
The hotel which is fairly new is well equipped and conveniently located within walking distance of Rundle Mall and the train station.
The only complaint I have is that the water draining from the shower area may overflow into the toilet area and entrance to the toilet.
Apart from this minor issue, the hotel is excellent in most aspects.
The staff are responsive and pleasant.
As a side note,Club 129 down the alley and opposite the train station, serves a decent meal with promotions throughout the week.

The location of the hotel is fantastic- right across the road from Adelaide Railway Station and about 10 min walk from Rundle Mall. This was perfect for me because I visited Adelaide to watch a show at the Festival Theatre.
The staff were very helpful when I left my wallet at home and didn’t have ID but still completed my check in with a passport scan I had on my phone. 24 hour check in is very helpful if you are checking in late or arriving early.
However, the interior is a bit dated (cracks on ceiling, some residue next to the sink) and some of the furnishings feel a bit cheap (eg fan and kettle look like they’re from Kmart or another department store).
If you’re happy with the basics then this is a great choice for a one night stay.

We only stayed overnight here and the Hilton met all our needs for this perfectly. We had a fast trip back and forth to the airport. The room, bed, shower, Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries were all great. Service at the reception desk was excellent. I wished we had another couple of days to explore Adelaide, as I'm sure we would have enjoyed ourselves. We'd definitely choose this hotel again. We saw construction close to the hotel but we did not hear a thing and slept well.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed all my previous stays but on my most recent stay I found that standards had severely declined in multiple respects. Upon arrival there were no staff at the driveway to assist to unload the luggage as there are usually. Upon entering the hotel lobby, I found all reception desks unattended. After waiting a few minutes, a staff eventually arrived. As an Accor platinum member, I have always been upgraded to a suite at this hotel on all my previous stays. I asked about the availability of a suite upgrade for this stay but was informed by the staff that there were none available. I accepted that because I understand that upgrades are subject to availability. However, when I checked the availability of suites for my stay dates immediately after check-in, I found that there were multiple suites available. So the staff had lied to me. I discussed the matter with Heath Varcoe, the Guest Experience Manager. Heath said that upgrades for Accor platinum members were only to the next room category and also dependent on factors other than availability, without elaborating on what those other factors were. I feel that as an Accor platinum member who has stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, the hotel should do their best to offer a suite upgrade if possible, as they have on all my previous stays. I asked Heath if I could get the contact details of a staff in the reservations team so I could check with them when planning future stays regarding the likelihood of a suite upgrade being available. Heath said he would check and get back to me before I checked out, but I have never heard from him, despite asking the staff on check out to follow up with Heath. It has now been a few months. I was assigned to a small room which had an awkward ‘open plan’ design with a bathtub placed awkwardly in the middle of the room. The sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to open and close and did not actually afford much privacy as you could still hear everything going on in the bathroom when it was closed. Also, it seems the hotel has replaced the Dyson hairdryers with el-cheapo brand ones which look like they are from a $2 store. They do not fit with the image of Sofitel as a luxury hotel. There was also no portable speaker in the room as there usually is. At the breakfast buffet at Garçon Bleu I found that there were no chicken sausages as there had been on all my previous stays, only pork ones. Because I do not eat pork, I raised this with the staff and was informed that they had run out but they would have them the next day. But the next day when I went back there were still no chicken sausages. So I decided to visit Club Millesime for breakfast instead, and strangely found that they did actually have chicken sausages there. But they were not the full-size ones that were available previously, rather, they were small, cocktail-size ones. I hope they bring the full-size ones back, because

The room is very clean, very beautiful, and the service is good👍. They will ask us if we need to pack breakfast, and help us pack it in advance. Outstanding
GGuest UserThe room is very comfortable and beautifully finished. The blinds automatically open and the tv turns on when you first step into the room which is pretty cool. The bed was very comfy and the rain head shower was also wonderful. Service was excellent! We enjoyed a small upgrade and a complimentary bottle of bubbles with a hand written note as it was our anniversary - a lovely touch. Floor to ceiling windows throughout the hotel make for a good view no matter where you are. The view of the oval from the bar/restaurant is quite nice while we enjoyed a drink or 2. We'll be back!
GGuest UserThe Grand is without a doubt all about the location! Given it’s ocean front position it should offer an absolute premium experience but instead falls a little short as it continues to date without much sign of refurbishment. The rooms are basic, the carpets old, the furnishings aging and everything just feels in need of some love. Bathrooms still have showers over the bath with shower curtains and the air con in the room wasn’t very effective (too hot despite being on the coolest setting). There was also a wedding being hosted during my 1 night stay and despite my room being on the 5th floor (ballroom is on level 1), I could hear the band/music until the end of the reception at 11:30pm. On the positive (besides premium location), the staff at reception / concierge were excellent. They greeted with absolute care on arrival and happiness during check out, despite being early in the morning. It felt like they enjoyed what they did and that’s so good to see in customer facing roles. Worth considering this hotel for a stay, just as long as you’re happy with basic ammenities in a great location.
GGuest UserI was their first guest since their re-opening and was welcomed with flowers from Victor the GM, and free coffee and breakfast from downstairs. Perhaps I shouldn't mention that, as everyone will ask for it! The staff in the hotel and the new Italian restaurant downstairs were 6 star! Everyone was lovely and what was so impressive was how excited the staff were to be back working in the hotel after a long break. The new rooms are lovely, and I loved my bath where I could watch TV at the same time! They had a few re-opening tweaking issues, but were very aware of these, and when there were resolving these. And the other special gem is the new restaurant. They make pasta on site. Try the fig bruchetta - it was so good! I had it twice. I will be back!
GGuest UserStayed one night when husband and I had a day surgery procedure. Chose it as it was the closest accommodation to the Day Hospital. Checked in after ops a bit early and they were able to have room cleaned ready for us. Room very small, Queen bed took up most of it. Ensuite ok except toilet dripped all night. Bed good and clean. Hot water took ages to heat up. Also not sure what was refurbished? Went downstairs to Bistro for dinner. Hubbys meal good, mine average. Got a small discount for staying on meal and accommodation. Bit loud with traffic, but it is on a busy road (and we are from country). Would prefer a bigger room with a bit of a view in future.
HHeyishengxiaomoThe geographical environment is good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the pedestrian street.
The toilet facilities are complete, including large towels, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, washing machine, dryer, paper towels, roll paper, a bag of laundry detergent, a small bar of soap, and a bottle of moisturizer. dew.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, a microwave, a gas stove, an oven, cutlery, dishes, dishwashing liquid, dish soap, three large, medium and small knives, a dishcloth, and a spatula and clamps for cooking. There's a pad, there's a kettle, there's a frying pan, there's a big stock pot.
There is also a sofa bed.
Disadvantages: Occasionally there are people talking loudly downstairs, which is very noisy. No slippers, no toothbrush or toothpaste, no comb. There are only 4 TV channels. It is not a smart TV. There is no TV in the room. There is no air conditioning in the room. The air conditioning in the living room blows into the room.
The deposit of 100 yuan for check-out has not been returned to me after waiting for a long time.
Taking an Uber from Adelaide Airport to the hotel costs $22.50
GGuest Userthis building was in a good position in the city, just opposite convention centre. Good service & very comfortable bed, but lounges & bathroom were old & in need of a makeover. basic toiletries were supplied & clean towels daily even though I left them hanging to reuse. the suite had 2 small double bedrooms, with 1 bedroom totally internal with no windows. It would be quite crowded if 4 adults were there.
GGojo InoBasecamp Hostel is a good place with a welcoming structure, but there are a few things that could be improved. I’ve stayed here a couple of times before, but they didn’t consider my request to stay in the same room. Some other guests had issues with the air conditioning in their room, which wasn’t working quite inconvenient for them.
Additionally, towels are locked, and you can’t take one yourself. Having access to only one towel per day is not enough. I also asked if they could store a suitcase for about a month while I traveled to Bali, but they said no.
I think the hostel could be more flexible and offer additional services, especially for returning guests. Overall, it was a positive experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement in customer care and amenities.
GGuest UserPerfect location for our drive Perth to Melbourne, easy access from and to the highway. Spacious, clean room with table, couch, TV, aircon and very comfortable bed. Ensuite a little outdated but the room had been freshened up. We had trouble connecting to the wifi. The restaurant was closed on our visit but we ordered room service and enjoyed our meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that while there is a 'late check-in' window, a sign on the door said that reception hours had changed to 8am - 8pm (when we booked the site said it was open all night... it might be wise to check ahead if you're likely to be later) Good, clean accommodation. We had a good stay.
GGuest UserAlways enjoy staying here on the waterfront. Awesome cafe strip & shopping. The rooms are old but this is reflected in the price- cheap & cheerful. Bed comfortable. Guests staying also get 10% off food if you present your room key. You can scan a QR code in your room & get room service if you don’t want to dine in-house. Meals are great & service friendly.
AAnonymous UserThis motel is perfect for a short stay when visiting Adelaide via car. Easy to get to being close to the main highways and roads in and out of Adelaide. Rooms had everything you needed for a short stay (except a microwave).
Reception charge a $50 deposit for your stay so keep that in mind when checking in, you get it back on checkout but was a little shocked with how high this was considering we’ve been travelling around Australia for the past three months and never had a deposit this high.
The rooms weren’t the cleanest and we opted to use our own doona as the one in our room had stains and smelt off, same again with the pillows with my partners one smelling of urine.
Wasn’t a bad nights stay for the price, hopefully they fix a few things and I would stay again.
