Koh Rong Sanloem
It is much better than originally thought. The room is very clean. Although it is far from the port, it is not very convenient to travel, but it is very quiet. The hotel has a boat that can pick up and drop off to the port. One dollar is for one person, except for no hot water. Of course, there is actually there. The weather doesn't need to be there anymore. There is really nothing to be picky about. The boss is a Frenchman. He walks with a glass of wine and a book every day. He really feels good about Gaolong Island. There are not so many tourists, not too much. It’s a lot of trouble for many European and American tourists who are holding books and sunbathing in the posters or snorkeling. Suitable for individuals or small couples, not suitable for parent-child travel, because there is really no entertainment on the island...

It's a ten-minute motorcycle ride from the pier. The environment is quiet and beautiful. The Hai Hotel has a good service attitude, but I'm not used to the open-air bathroom. There are not many dishes in the restaurant, but the taste is acceptable. There are both Chinese and Western food, and most of them are for Europeans and Americans. The hotel is satisfactory, but I don't think the scenery and sea water are as good-looking as the pier, and the sea is not so blue and clear

Amazing location on the beach, with beach on one side and pool on the other. Depending on the time of the day we rotated between. Everything was clean and well looked after. Room with AC and hot water. It was right beside the pier so easy to get to, and the ocean was pristine and baby blue. They have towels, paddle boards, row boat, or snorkel you can just borrow (not great snorkelling though). We decided to not include the breakfast because it was $12 American and we thought quite expensive for a normal buffet breakfast but a lot of guests enjoyed it. Right up from the pier there’s lots of local restaurants and we experimented with them and really enjoyed the food, smoothies, and coconuts. There’s also a small shop beside the hotel that sells drinks and coffee (ask for with milk and ice!) so we bought our drinks there instead of the hotel. My only feedback was I didn’t like how they didn’t provide more water, only 2 small bottles a day. I think they should have a larger jug that we can fill up to be more sustainable. Overall loved this place and would definitely come back!

Koh Rong Sanloem
If you’re looking for a party scene or lively beaches this place is not for you. Instead it’s a quiet, pristine and exceptionally beautiful island getaway. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here and the staff went out of their way to make it special. Our bungalow was gorgeous- Great WiFi, a/c, comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. The resort offers kayaking, snorkeling, fishing excursions and of course lots of swimming in either the infinity pool or calm sea. The staff was attentive and professional, speaking both English & French. Meals were well prepared and drinks abundant. The resort is remote so coordinate arrival and departure with the front desk ( they were very accommodating). Bring a good book, sunscreen and desire to get away from it all!

Great value for money. Location is fantastic and the rooms are very nice. There was some problem with my reservation but the manager and the staff were very helpful in finding a solution. I really enjoyed my staying here and I'd definitely come back. Whether you stay here or not, I recommend coming here for dinner. They can organize a nice BBQ on the beach; it's a great experience (we did it twice and we were the only table), the food is amazing, and it costs like eating at any other restaurant in the area (but here you eat very well, in the other beach restaurants not so well, in my experience).

What to say about Mad Monkey Hostel Koh Rong…prepare yourself for the most fun you have ever had and the amazing staff who invite you to join every event and conversation. Though you should watch out for your liver there, we are absolutely amazed by the fantastic time we had there! We are absolutely gutted about leaving this beautiful and fanstastic place, but we kind of had to after an extension of a few days…Many thanks to Gen, Jimmy and Chantal (and of course the other Mad Monkeys / reps, SO to Amanda!) for the most amazing days of our trip, we are sure we can’t top this one in the rest of our travels! And for whom of you that made it to the end of this review, prepare to make friends and send it!! Gonna miss you guys! Xoxo, your (hopefully!) fave Dutchies

City Center
I have been to this place numerous time already and it did not disappoint. I have been in both rooms in a hotel building and an individual villa, as I can guarantee that it is one of the best places to visit. The beach was amazing, clean water and sand. Beautiful service and people but most importantly the high quality of security service. Definitely would go visit again.

I rated 4 stars primarily based on my ocean villa. My rating for the staff would be 3 stars as they need to be more attentive. The resort's taxi boat guy was waiting at the pier to transfer me to the resort. I was also transferred back to the pier. My room was great. Nice and clean, fresh linen and semi firm mattress. Power point either side of the bed. The aircon unit was the quietest I have come across in a long time and I travel for a hobby. There are a number of different light fixtures which made the lighting adequate. Just enough shelving to lay clothes and a section to hang. I did not use the mozzie net as there was a can of insect spray so I just used that. Unlike the cheaper bungalows behind which have aircon and fan the ocean villa only had aircon which I found surprising. The bathroom is of good size with segregated shower area. If you enjoy really hot showers you will be happy here. The basin has hot water as well. Not having somewhere close to the shower to hang your towel was a negative. I did not use the bathtub so can't comment if it would fill up with hot water. The backout curtains do their job. Towels are provided for the beach. The balcony was a nice size with table and two chairs plus a sofa. There is a foot washer at the bottom of the steps. An unexpected positive was the sensor light which would come on at night so you could see where to put your key if you forgot to turn on the balcony light before going out. There were only a few menu options from a board but the American breakfast was fine for me. I was surprised I got a real sausage and not a hotdog. I had dinner at the restaurant one night and had no problems with the food. Yes, if you need to have 100 menu options to choose from then walk down the beach and check out other resort's menus. Having returned after four years I found most of the beach pretty disgusting with trashed that has been washed in and also the number of runoffs in to the sea with who knows what in it. Though to their credit Sol Beach Resort had staff out cleaning the property's beachfront area from around sunrise. Overall, I had a comfortable and quiet experience.
Pod Village by Independence Hotels

Staying in the Pods is definitely an experience. The property is huge. There are lots of amenities and restaurants to enjoy. The food is GOOD. We are at the Sunset restaurant on the beach and room service. Very good. Breakfast was ok. We had a great time on the beach. We were there all day. There’s towels and you can order drinks. The public beach is beside the property. The only damper on our experience was several (3 separate) Chinese guests (we know bc we live in China and speak Chinese) chose to start recording us and staring at the infinity pool. It almost ruined a very enjoyable day on the beach. Overall it was a good stay, and I would recommend that property. Other guests should be more considerate because it’s rude.
