HYPERION Hotel Leipzig

Due to a cancelled flixbus, we arrived at the Hyperion Hotel at 1 am dead tired to leave the next morning early. The checking in process was sluggish and the hospitality of the guy that helped us was not so kind. Finally we got the room but Immediately after we arrived in the room we got a message from flixbus that the bus would leave in 10 minutes. We immediately rushed back downstairs and the receptionist who had checked us in 10 minutes earlier. He assured us that no money would be deducted and he would send me a confirmation via e-mail - which I did not receive. Now, almost a month later, I see that the amount has been debited anyway. Since I thought there should be a mistake, I e-mailed for clarification. After several calls and emails I finally I got someone on the phone telling me that the bed was ”used” and they could therefore not resale the room that night. This simply is a lie, there was no time at all to use the bed. After several attempts to get in contact now the manager offered us a 50% refund. What a sad policy, where I should pay for the false promises of this hotel. This kind of business is ruining a nice city like Leipzig. Making profits on the backs of poor students, if that is really your business idea then you deserve to get an honest review: I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

In my business I see a lot of hotels, and I get to compare various properties within the same family. The Marriott in Leipzig deserves to be singled out for multiple reasons. First, the hotel makes it a point to recognize I'm coming and to treat me like they're happy to see me when I arrive. The location in the city center is one of the most picturesque I've seen, with multiple things to see and do within walking distance. One of the most spectacular train stations in Europe is right across the street! There are multiple restaurants and street venders scattered around the city center area, but if you don't want to leave the building the breakfast this hotel puts on is the best of any place I go.

This very sad hotel stuck in the 90’s was very disappointing . The hotel staff were friendly, but one couldn’t tell the staff from guests apart, because they didn’t wear a uniform or have name badges on. The room was very dark. Dark old rug, very dark wooden closets that were way to large for the room. That dark furniture had seen better days and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom a nightmare. The shower was old and dingy, black spots of mold between the grout. The soap dispenser was over 1 meter away from the sink. Very nerve racking. The breakfast buffet was somewhat disappointing. There was almost everything available, but the long lines at the 1 coffee maker wasn’t an ideal situation. After 1 week , I was happy to leave.

If you are looking for a good hotel in Leipzig, then this is not the place for you. WiFi connectivity is an absolute joke, certainly does not cater to international tourists as pretty much all the TV channels are in German. The most basic of rooms. Glad this was for only one night

This is an outstanding hotel. It is located across the street from the train station, but is incredibly quiet. The place is immaculate and the interior design is very well done. The hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it looks brand new. Staff was very attentive and fluent in English. The room was decent sized for a European hotel. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could tour Dresden before taking a train out of town. It's one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in recent years

We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

4 of us had two rooms for one night for the football. The hotel is in an amazing location, close to the train station and main square including pubs. Staff were very friendly and rooms are fantastic. For the money paid it was a great option. Rooms are modern and fresh with great bathrooms. If ever back in Leipzig we will be sure to stay again.

It is far from the center. I was driving: I am not critical. There is no problem with parking: you can pay to park in the hotel, or you can park opposite or behind the hotel for free. The hotel itself is shabby. A little old The place is dirty: there is dust on the bedside table and the walls in the hallway are scarred. need to repair. I like the bathtub: a complete bathtub (not a shower), underfloor heating-good. There is a free bar in the room)))) I didn't bring breakfast, I can't appreciate it. The lobby bar is open until late and has a pool table. There is a small aquarium with cute reptiles in the lobby. For his worth of money-so beautiful! A little over thirty a night

The hotel is very nice, full of artistic atmosphere, there are many paintings inside. The bed was a bit too soft. After living for three days, I felt very uncomfortable in my waist. But this is different from person to person. The location is great, not far from the attractions, you can walk there, you can also park on the side of the road, and the parking fee is not expensive, you don’t need to park at the hotel. Overall good

Ho avuto cena tedesca (come poche) e varia, camera spaziosa e fresca. Colazione superlativa. Se tornassi, sceglierei di nuovo questo hotel. Arrivederci dal Friuli Venezia Giulia. Lucia Floreani
