Reviews from Real Guests:

raskolnikov: Art Institute in Chicago is very accessible. Located just along Michigan Avenue, I was able to come for a quick visit after renewing my passport at the Philippine Consulate. More than its accessibility, you will marvel at the broad collection of works by various artists. You will particularly enjoy it if you are into post-Impressionist arts and loves vivid colors and random distortions. You gotta see it yourself.

Nirmala anggun: It's absolutely amazing. 103 floors up. Don't be a wimp go out into the glass box! Enjoy the view. You can get back in line after your 1 minute is up. They time you based on your group size to move the line. It's such a cool experience. Worth the $30. On the way to the elevator they give you a cool back history lesson on the fires of Chicago that led to the architectural renaissance and his Chicago started a lot of America's modern style of construction. Take your time, savor every moment. I'd recommend going into the box and taking crazy pictures but then get back in line and savor the minute or two you get without the worries of taking pictures. Just absorb the view it's worth it.

The staff Emily helped set everything up and responded so quickly via email and Greg was there the day of. There was loads of traffic that morning due to the rain and they let our whole party arrive. I don’t remember who took the pictures while we were up there, but I bought them all! He did an outstanding job. Thank you for making this a very memorable day for my family and other service members who came out to support! We had a blast and I am so grateful. love this high building

The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry was built on the site of the 1893 World's Fair. Located in Hyde Park, the museum covers an area of 14 hectares and is the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere. The museum's display content is very rich, from basic scientific knowledge to cutting-edge scientific knowledge, which can meet various learning needs from children to adults. The museum has three floors, and each floor has four staircases, which are distinguished by four colors of red, yellow, blue and green, providing convenient visiting conditions for the audience. At the same time, the museum uses these knowledge points to form the entire exhibition, and the research on each knowledge point is very in-depth, and each exhibit can be participated in hands-on. Brain science is a well-known field of knowledge that is difficult to express, and it is even more difficult to engage audiences. What amazes us is that the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry has designed very good exhibits in this field. Here, you can see various natural phenomena in the Science Storm Exhibition Hall, visit the German submarine U-505 captured in World War II; you can experience the operation of a coal mine, and you can experience a five-layer spherical screen in a Chicago family. You can also witness the process of chicks breaking their shells in the chick hatchery. In short, there are many advanced technologies and interactive experiences waiting for travelers to experience in person.

The Robbie House is located on the beautiful campus of the University of Chicago. It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the greatest American architect. It is also one of the greatest architectural masterpieces of the twentieth century. It was selected as a National Historic Landmark on November 27, 1963. In the residences designed by Wright, the interior space always has an axial tendency to be related to the natural environment, and the factor that plays a major role in the artistic composition is the concept of place, that is, the rediscovery of the concept of place. The wide roof of Wright's house, which emphasizes the horizontal type, is completely a metaphor for the safe habitation of thatched huts or wooden huts, and has a "prairie" charm.

Chicago has a typical continental climate which means cold winters, warm summers, and four distinct seasons. Spring and Fall are the best times to visit the city, as in these months (April through May and between September and October) tourists will find the weather to be desirable, and crowds and prices are still manageable. Summer in Chicago is hot with moderate humidity, but it is also the peak tourist season too. Hence visitors should expect the highest lodging rates and packed crowds. In contrast, Winter in Chicago is bitterly cold and snowy, but if you don’t mind the big freeze, it’s also the season with great hotel and airfare deals. As Spring is one of the most pleasant times to visit Chicago, mid-March to mid-April is also the peak tourist time for the city, the same goes for summer (from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and the winter holiday season (mid-November to early January). To avoid the crowds, give Fall a try as the weather is still pleasant but everything is less crowded. The best period for good deals is in January and February when hotel room occupancy is at its lowest, as result expect great savings and discounted prices.
