Reviews From Real Travelers
We booked the hotel for one night as we were in Salou with my partner and my two children 20 and 15. We booked 1 x room with two double beds. The room was very clean, you were provided with hand soap and hand wash and hand cream in dispensers and shampoo and body wash, no conditioner for those with long hair :) . The hotel was spotlessly clean along with the outside area. The pools were beautiful the water was crystal clear although a little cold with it being the end of September. You had direct access to the theme park via the Wild West. The buffet was fair there was always a variety of choice. We went full board and for lunch we were given vouchers for a meal jn the park. My son is 15 so when we booked the hotel he was classed as a child so he was given a junior voucher for food, however in the park Junior was up to the age of 12 so he could only have a Junior meal so we had to pay the difference for an adult meal, for the price we paid for the hotel I was surprised at this so they really need to be clear at check in. We got passes for the park and one entrance to Ferrari land, there were no queues so we were lucky but if it were high season all the perks of staying in a Portaventura hotel have now gone there are ZERO. It’s hard to find this info when you book as it says some rooms have perks but it’s not explicit which ones. We went at Halloween and you had to pay 35E to access the haunted house and in Ferrari land one of the experiences costs an extra 15E. Ferrari land has direct access from the park and has 3 thrill rides, we stayed 1.5 hours due to no queues. It must have been the week we went but none of the Shows were in Which was very disappointing. Next time I would download the app before booking this was useful. Back to the hotel, there was very little atmosphere there were no characters during dining and ZERO entertainment in the evening, there was only access to one pool table in the bar area which was always busy and the Saloon was closed. You had to book a time slot for dinner and breakfast we booked breakfast between 8-9 we arrived at 8.40 to be told we had to wait for the next sitting which was at 9am slightly strange but something up do with Covid, it would have been nice to gave been made aware of this. Overall we had a nice stay but the the money we paid I don’t feel it was great value, that’s due to us going a number of times to other Portaventura hotels where there were little extras, Such as , a gift in the room, express lane entrance, characters and shows in the evening.more flexible dining.

This was our third visit to Portaventure previously staying at the Hotel Caribe, and Hotel El Paso. The hotel impression on arrival was great, the main reception area was lovely. We stayed in the main building on the 1st floor corner, had great views of Salou from one window and the park and hotel outbuildings on the other. The room was large, clean and well maintained. Check in was quick and efficient and advised to book our meal times on the App (hint it sometimes worked better on 3/4g rather than the wifi) . All the staff we spoke with and dealt with from reception to restaurants were amazing, happy and always willing to help or just saying Hola. Meal times are strict and 40 mins for breakfast and an hour for dinner. After day 1 we ate outside all the time as it was quieter and felt more relaxed than inside. The food selection was varied and covered a few different tastes. We did find the food repetative after a few days but you have options and choices to keep everyone happy. As some had mentioned once the park closes there is little access to the outside world unless you drive, get a taxi or walk on the access roads which we did several times. There is a supermarket about 15 min walk away where we got a lot of our items. If you want to explore Salou and go out on evenings I would recommend any of the other Portaventura hotels where walking routes are much easier and better. Access to the park was via a short walkway directly into the park and this was the best hotel access we have eperience however some things to note:- The opening times are best checked on the App as they can change the day before. The park may open at 10am but alot of the rides will not open until 11 or even 11.30 meaning there are large queues on the rides that are open Fast pass is available - in the past we added this to our booking and have fast pass for the entitirety of our stay - this is not available now however, our longest queue in the general queue was 40 mins - if you go in quieter times avoid the cost of fast pass. This was a well themed hotel but we would not stay here again mainly due to access issues as we do not drive.

This is our second time staying at these apartments. We have been to Salou many times usually staying in the Cye holiday Centre apartments which are also very good. Would highly recommend them. Cye apartments are close to everything. The staff on the front desk are excellent and very helpful with any questions. The apartments are a good size for 4 people. We had a 1 bed apartment with a pool view for 10 days. They have everything you need for a self catering stay. It was cleaned regularly. The kids had a great time using the pool. I would recommend ear plugs as there can be noise from outside especially early morning when people are coming home from the pubs and clubs this not the fault of the cye apartments just people out enjoying themselves on holidays. Plenty of shops and food places in the area. The beach is a few minutes walk down the road. You can walk to portaventura in 10/15 mins
Absolutely disgusted with this hotel, i couldn’t wait to get home! Firstly there is an £80 deposit needed in cash only which isn’t made clear anywhere! On our first morning we went downstairs to wait for the pool doors to be open at 9am (which also isn’t made clear anywhere) and we were ‘greeted’ by the nastiest woman i’ve ever encountered, we got screamed at for wanting to go on the sunbeds, she was accusing us of wanting to leave our towels on the sunbeds and then never return to them which was not the case at all and we were infact down there all day. All of this screaming was also infront of our kids which i also thought was disgusting and unprofessional. Me and my partner actually looked at going to the hotel opposite for the rest of the holiday as we were so disgusted with the way we had been spoken too. A couple days after this we looked over our balcony to find that there was human poo in the pool! and we also over heard people encouraging there kids to urinate in the pool which is vile. The day after this there was a fight in the reception which one of our kids saw and didn’t want to leave the room afterwards due to the fact one of the guests were being super creepy towards children! as you can imagine this was very scary! Our room was only cleaned once and this was the day before we were leaving, i wouldn’t even call it clean. They made our beds and that was it. The sheets weren’t changed and the bedside tables were still dirty, the floor was filthy our feet were black! If you are coming to this hotel i recommend bringing slippers! You are also not allowed any floats in the pool, not even the tiniest ball otherwise once again you will get screamed at! The sunbeds were so broken and actually quite dangerous as they had huge holes in the middle that we would fall through, there wasn’t even any padding to help make these comfier. This hotel is definitely not a family friendly hotel at all and not even a friendly hotel in general, i’m honestly so disappointed in this stay and i’m so glad to be home! do NOT book this hotel!!!

Reviews From Real Travelers
Where do I start….We visited El Paso around 9 years ago prior to having children with my family and we all had an excellent holiday! So I didn’t have any apprehensions about booking early this year to take my 2 children (3 & 1) . As it got closer to the time I saw some reviews and started to panic as we hadn’t had a bad word to say about the hotel but wondered had it gone down hill?? Needless to say we went with an open mind and there was no need for any worry at all!! One of the only reasons I haven’t given 5 stars was the check in. We arrived at 11am and check in took my husband around an hour (I think this was more other people maybe faffing around a bit as when he actually got to the counter he was there 5 minutes and it was done) but it took us 3 separate occasions of going up to ask if the room was ready at 3pm before we could actually get in. There are lockers you can put you’re luggage in for €10 but there was no way ours would of fit in 1 so we didn’t fancy spending €20 !! So we hung around the reception for 4 hours (a beautiful reception) but with 2 children we found we were having to juggle one person staying with the luggage and the other entertaining the children. Check in aside the rest of the holiday was all we could of asked for! Room : We had requested a quiet room and we had been put the other side of the pool away from all the bars which was perfect…the room was beautiful. Bunk beds for our 3year old which he loved (although the top bunk is not safe for a younger child as the side very easily comes off!) but this didn’t effect us as we had a cot for our 1 year old. The room has everything you would need for a holiday..storage, bathroom, comfy bed and a balcony. The only downside was there were a few schools visiting when we were there and they had placed them in the same block as us so it definatley wasn’t a quiet room ! You could hear the teachers trying to keep them quiet at 11pm at night but it’s not great when you have young children trying to sleep…maybe the hotel should have a separate block if they know they are going to have a lot of school children in??? Pool : the pool is a absolutley huge and very clean. The water is a perfect crystal blue! The pirate shop was a firm favourite for our little boy. Although they are a little strict with allowing sunglasses in the pool (you need them as it’s so bright haha!) the lifeguards make you feel very safe. There is a vast area of sand around the pool which is perfect for the children to play in….(actually made ours happy enough that he thought he’d been to the beach so we didn’t have to venture to Salou!) Food : I saw a lot of reviews with people complaining about the food. We didn’t have a problem at all. Yes it can be samey, but considering they have such a large demographic to cater for I think they do very well with what they do have! You can always find something to eat. It’s typical all inclusive food. When you check in they give you a QR CODE to select a time fo

This is a fantastic resort for families loads to do in the theme park it will take two days to do the whole park and its hilly and alot of walking so bring a pram for kids or you can hire buggys at the park for a fee! You can eat at certain restaurants in the park water park and ferrari land it's on the portaventura app .. pool is amazing loads of sunbeds although can be uncomfortable * no cushion or pads on them* there is multiple cabanas/covered areas for families to keep kids in the shade.. lifeguards are strict no t shirts sunglasses hats or non lycra shirts in pool otherwise all are very friendly and it feels very safe! Restaurant is very samey but that's just all inclusive ! There's a great selection so can't complain ! Just a note for families with babies there are no kettles in rooms or for hire to boil water for bottles although we filled bottles from coffee machine in morning and the shack in the hotel square staff did the same for us at night that's our only complaint! So bring a travel kettle it's worth it!!

Our family visited Salou in August and stayed in 2 apartments in Ona Suites. The apartments were clean and functional . Housekeeping came in during week to change towels and general tidy. Pool was very clean with life guard on duty all day. You can rent sunbeds for a small charge , would be good if there were umbrellas to rent too (might be something to consider) . The reception staff especially Aya was friendly and professional . Arranged late check out for a small fee as our flight was evening time . Close to beach and all the shops and supermarkets. Great location , clean , friendly reception staff . Will definitely be back .

Nice location in safe and clean town of Salou, but next to historical Tarragona. The resort is surrounded by the nice and long promenade, lots of nice local Spainish cuisine restaurants and shops. There are also western fast food places like McDonalds. Ideal specially for families, kids, and elderly. There are rental shops for bikes, e-scooters, mobility mopeds for the elderly, special needs, and just those want to go around time riding instead of walking (the mopeds are cheaper euros 10 for 1 whole day, e-scooters are euro 10+ per hour.

Reviews From Real Travelers
The best 4* hotel I've ever stayed in. The whole of the hotel looks like it's had a full re modernisation. Everything very clean, fresh and modern. Booked the cheapest standard room and it was great. View of the beach from balcony, comfy beds, fabulous rain shower with a smaller hand held shower. Air con is excellent. Great idea that your wristband also contains your room access key. Very helpful, hard working staff throughout. Spotlessly clean everywhere thanks to the cleaning team. Food was excellent. Not masses of choice, but very good quality and we always found something we liked. There are usually 2 chefs who will cook food of your choice on the griddle which was very good. The weekly gala dinner was outstanding. Tables were cleared super quick ready for the next guests. Pool area was small but we always found a sunbed and there are toilets and showers. There's also a shaded area when you need a break from the sun! The pool is more suited to adults and not children. There is a lovely bar with different areas of seating practically on the beach! The hotel has a really good evening entertainment programme with live acts, it gets very busy! The hotel is situated in the quite area of La Pineda but there are lots of lovely Spanish bars and restaurants very close by. There are lots of shops and there are bus stops nearby. We caught the bus to Cambrils, Salou and Tarragona. Taxi to Reus airport is approx €30-€33 each way. There is a very flat promenade that goes for miles along the beach at the rear of the hotel. Great for wheelchairs, prams, cycling or just a 10 minute stroll into the busier part of La Pineda. Thank you Hotel Terramarina for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back. Amanda

We stayed at the Best Terramarina last week, what a wonderful experience, all the staff were very helpful and always greeted us with a lovely smile The food was out of this world, with three chefs on duty every night The bar staff were very cheerful and were running around serving the many tables, the rooms were huge and spotlessly clean, the housekeepers greeted us every morning, being 10 feet from the beach was fantastic The reception staff helped us get taxi's and were wonderful every day the high level of staff, spotless hotel and fantastic rooms made this our dream holiday We are already looking to return next year

Beautiful hotel in the most fabulous location! Always clean, plenty of choices for meals, drinks etc. plenty of sun beds, and able to move them if needed. Friendly helpful staff. Good size rooms, with walk-in shower, fabulous terrace/balcony. And plenty of comfy sofas in the huge reception area. Outdoor entertainment every night as the weather was stunning still. And a great place to wander, all flat. Cambrils town is a short taxi ride away, with a lovely marina, lots of shops and eateries. (Wouldn’t go to salou even tho it’s walkable, drinkers place from what we saw) A lovely relaxing holiday suitable for all. Literally 5 steps from the beach ❤️ already looked at going in may. Definitely one to return to, which I don’t ever do.

The hotel is located in Cambril in the Vilafortuny district. The rooms are made every day and clean, and the voices in the corridors are not badly heard and if you are just up to the party room you can hear noise in the evenings. When you're k.o it goes through or you'll get a box ball. The breakfast is really a 10/10! I've tested the sports room , small but great with the basic machines and even the alters. And to finish the host was more or less good. Finally at Check-in the host was a little cold and not very polite. But other hosts and hosts are good. You can rent bikes at the hotel for €9 per day (tested but not approved so a hostess made us a commercial gesture).
