We enjoyed our stay at Le Collective Gangnam Sac Roium, our room was clean, kitchen and bathroom were well appointed. Our only complaint was the second bedroom’s futon mattress was not cleaned prior to our visit, my daughter found dried rice on the futon, there was no futon cover, just the futon and blanket provided. There was a strong odor when checking the laundry cabinet, we did not need to use the washer so we left the closet closed during our stay. We enjoyed the neighborhood stores, 711 store was just across  the street from our Lobby, very convenient. We enjoyed walking around, checking out the different restaurants and coffee places inspite of the occasional construction barricades. Our hotel room was very quiet during our stay which added to our enjoyment,

I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days on a business trip. The room was really clean and the facilities were good, so it was comfortable. However, even though it was a multi-night stay, if you want cleaning, you have to pay an additional 40,000 won per time. It was a bit disappointing because there was no notice about that when I made the reservation. If you are staying for multiple nights, it might be worth considering making a separate reservation. (Water is provided only the first time.) You can walk to both Seoul National University and Nambu Bus Terminal. There are a lot of foreigners here.

The overall design is elegantly done in white marble, giving it a luxurious feel, and the staff were friendly, ensuring a comfortable stay. It takes less than 2 minutes from Exit 1 of Seocho Station (Line 2), but there is no signboard of the hotel, and the cafe next door is a landmark. The so-called ``Goshiwon'', Livingtel and Officetel type guesthouses. There is a reception on the 4th floor, but the staff is not resident, and it depends on the time of day, so it is better to inform the check-in time. Shoe boxes and slippers are available for rent at the entrance. The 2nd floor is a single room with a shower, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors are single rooms without a shower. There is a shared kitchen on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors, and you can eat whatever you want. There is a water server on each floor. If you are not familiar with Kosiwon, it may be difficult for long-term residents because the staff is not resident. The room requires a normal key and a deposit of 10,000w at check-in. The room is a little over 2 tatami mats in size, and although the shape of the room is different between the inside and the outside, the basic structure is a shelf above the desk, a clothes closet next to it, and a refrigerator below. The lights in the hallway are turned off day and night, probably to save electricity (even if someone turns them on, they are immediately turned off), so the inside of the building feels a bit dry. The shared shower on the 4th floor is old and a little intimidating, which may be hard for Japanese people. The showers on the 2nd and 3rd floors are clean and bright. Wi-Fi had routers on the floor and in each room, but it was a little choppy, probably due to aging, so there was no problem with smartphones, but PCs were difficult to use. It is suitable for people who want to keep their accommodation costs low as it is easily accessible from the station despite being a cheap hotel. If you walk to the other side, you can reach ”Kyodae” station on lines 8 and 9 in about 10 minutes, so it's convenient. Airport limousines can also be boarded on the main street. There is a large mall with Lotte Mart on the other side of the station, and it is convenient because it also has a food court. There are many local restaurants in the back street, and it is crowded with local office workers, so you won't have any trouble staying. Since the staff is not resident, if you tell the time when you check out, they will come to return the deposit, but it is also a bit of a problem.

On the first day, I had a really hard time getting into the building because the main gate password and room password didn't arrive at my registered email address. I can't help but think that the room is worth the price. I stayed here twice on different dates, and the first time I stayed in a room on the first floor, the room was small, but it wasn't a problem as I was only going to sleep. The second time I stayed there, I was surprised to find a room on the second floor that was the same price but even smaller lol. In particular, the shower flow was slow, and although the water flowed well, when the water turned hot it only came out slowly, making it difficult to take a shower. The water flow should be fixed. It's a cheap bed with loose spring tension, and it's okay for a day or two, but if you stay for a week or more, your body will wake up in the morning feeling pounded lol. There is a laundry service, microwave, kettle, water server, and all-you-can-drink coffee service in the basement, and you can also rent plates and cooking utensils, so it was a great environment to be able to cook freely. It has great access, just 1.2 minutes walk from Kyodee Station (Seoul National University of Education)! ! Accessible to Lines 2 and 3 There is a convenience store called CU nearby, and there are many restaurants nearby, so the location is convenient. Overall, I am satisfied that I was able to stay here for this price even though the shower was not good. But please fix the shower for future guests! !

I stayed at Upflo Hostel n Nov 2019 and cannot fault the service of the staff or the quality of the facilities. The room was spacious and really well-equipped, the common space on the top floor was clean, bright and really comfortable to spend time in, the staff were super helpful and the location was very convenient with nearby restaurants, convenience stores and subway links to the rest of Seoul. I would happily stay there again ☺️

I stayed here with a friend for one night while traveling. I decided on this place after looking at the price, location, and photos, but I don't think it will be a problem for people who are used to guesthouses. It was my friend's first time abroad and he was surprised when he saw the shower room lol. The toilet is right next to the shower and there is no curtain or anything, so the toilet inevitably gets muddy. The location was good, the price was cheap, and check-out was at 11am so we were able to take our time. The front desk didn't speak Japanese, but I would definitely stay here again when I'm in Gangnam. I'm happy because there aren't many places to stay around Gangnam for this price.

The hotel is very close to Myeongdong station. It is very easy to find. It's good that you can check in by yourself anytime after you get the information from the hotel. Very convenient for late night airport arrivals, as it is just off the main subway line for both airports. The hotel is still quite a ways away from downtown Seoul, but it's in a location with plenty of restaurants and shops. The beds are comfortable, and there is a nice blanket provided. The pillows are a little thin, but there are two of them to stack up. Water bottles, a refrigerator, and a 40-in TV in the room. Bathroom has a separate door and a bathtub/shower. Amenities are provided.

The staff was super friendly and helped with check in and informing about the facilities. In the dormitory, the bed was comfy and clean and had a locakable cupboard next to it. The showers had shampoo, bodywash, and a hairdryer. There was a washing machine and dryer available on site and free towels. The location is close to Myeongdong station, in the centre of Seoul making it ideal to travel to the East or West of the city. I felt that despite the low cost, the accomodation was safe and had good facilities. I will stay here again if I travel to Seoul. Thank you!

It's quite strategic and walking distance to the famous culinary and shopping center in Myeodong. A clean little hotel and one room can make 4 people (choose 4 people) at a very affordable price (it costs 1 jt per night). In the hotel building there is a 24-hour mini market and surrounded by many restaurants and easy to ride public vehicles such as buses and subway (subway). The room is not too big with a window to view the street. Small hotel towels size like hand towels (Korean hotel cotton). Bathroom showers are available with shampo and liquid soap. There is a water heater for coffee/tea, a small refrigerator, hair dyer, a small flat TV with many channels of Korean station, a medium size mineral water 4 bottles. Small hotel lobby goes up to the 4th floor. Just for sleeping and rest ok.

Major security and food hygiene issues. Beware! Food hygiene issue: They provide bibimbap + other side dishes for breakfast. The alarming thing is their re-use of the side-dishes. When the breakfast was over and all other guests have left the dining area, the host casually put the unconsumed side dishes back into the larger pots where they are stored. The reason this is alarming is because the side dishes are shared among all the guests, and the sharing nature of the side dishes inevitably means that their saliva will also be shared. Not only is this gross to think about, but this will also potentially promote infectious diseases. Security issue: We stayed in a private guest room as a couple with our private bathroom. The locks were the old Korean style, with 2 sets of 4 sliding doors - one set on the outside, one set on the inside. The outer set of sliding doors have 2 screw-in locks which can be padlocked. The inner set of sliding doors only have screw-in locks. When leaving the room, I had the inner set of sliding doors shut, with one side of the door remaining locked. We were shocked to find that upon returning, both sides of the inner doors were unlocked and opened, indicating that someone had entered our room. No tampering of the padlock was evident, suggesting that this person had the proper keys to the padlock. What was more disturbing was that there was no good reason for anyone to have been there! No cleaning and no rearranging of amenities! We tried several times to contact the owner to no avail. We immediately packed and left after the first night. Value for Money: Quite expensive for what it is. But, if you want the experience of staying in an old-style traditional korean housing, there are several other such guesthouses. Location: Good location. Close to Anguk subway station, palaces and insadong, but far enough from the main road to not be affected by road noise. Cleanliness: Clean enough. Staff: Questionable business practice & work ethics. There is one elderly woman who appears to be helping to keep the guesthouse clean and to prepare meals. She only speaks Korean, and does so very loudly and abruptly. I am a Korean, and this does not bother me as I do have some idea about how some people speak, but my wife found this very confronting. Facilities: Minimal. Very small rooms with no furniture. But this is, after all, a part of the traditional Korean Hanok experience.

Its located near Myeongdong exit 3, then a bit of uphill walk. There are a lot of restos, cafes and convenience store in the area. Room has two single beds. Spacious than other guesthouse, we can open our 2 big luggage at the same time. They provided shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste and body wash. Towels are really small, like the size of hand towels. Mini fridge provided. No elevator but they have a lift for the luggage. Free breakfast, but we were not able to try since we left early in the morning. The halmeoni gave us handmade souvenir, when we checked out.

After 4 flights of very steep stairs, i was shown old bunkbeds with uncomfortable matresses. My bed had the a/c unit right over my head, buzzing and prepping me for pneumonia. I asked if I could change to the empty bunk, but was told I had to check with a guest who hadn't checked in yet, instead of taking some ownership of actually managing a hostel. Breakfast is only from 9 till 10.30am!! Most of the world already has half a day done by that time. It is run by a young french couple and unfortunately they confirm the stereotype of a being a bit stuck up. I did not feel welcome, nor comfortable here. Do yourself a favour and

Fantastic communication from Mary, great location, perfect for families or groups. Large mezzanine room with queen sized bed, pull out queen bed underneath and 4 single beds above. Right at the steps of Hongik Uni Exit 1. No Netflix, just Korean TV. Lovely electric blanket. Washing machine, heater, fan, fridge and cooking amenities. Keypad entrance so can self check in. The bathroom shower tiling is a little run down, the shower is warm but not hot hot. I booked last minute as a solo traveller not knowing the city and paid a pretty price for the location, should have researched more and saved some money staying in Sinchon or other surrounding areas. Nothing to do with the accommodation, that was my own error. However, if you want to be right in the heartbeat of Hongdae with multiple guests this is your place. I enjoyed my stay.

I went to Christmas week and it was cheap, friendly and nice. The bus stop is right in front of us, so it's easy to access, but if you drag the car like us, you'll have a hard time parking. It was Yeonheejang, so it was written so I couldn't find it and I went one step further The heating was so good that the skin was dry and I woke up to drink water. The picture is on the rooftop, but there is also a kitchen, and guests of the guesthouse should enjoy it in the evening.

Well, maybe other people who got another room could feel more comfortable at this place but it was not my case. I booked for two nights in a 8 beds mixed dorm. They gave me the room which is downstairs, the only one there I think. My experience was just horrible, I booked for two nights, stayed one ant left the next day. The room was super small and messy, with some trash around the floor, there was no space for a really small room for 8 people. The bed was broken, it was really uncomfortable to sleep , i couldn't sleep actually in the night. During the night as the dorm is just next to the downstairs common area, some of the people there, I believe also some volunteers who are working there were really noisy until late in the night, they just came inside the room, left the door opened and you could hear all the people screaming in the living room and listening to music, they really didn't care about all the signals inside the hostel to stop to make noise after 11pm. But I would say that the worst thing was the smell, I didn't know what was exactly that smell but was horrible, maybe for some dirty clothes which were around the floor or this ridiculous space for 8 people, but the smell was really bad! So, maybe other people had another kind of experience, I wish had also a good one but mine it wasn't good. I don't really recommend this place, for the same price you can find some other places better and comfortable but if you really want to stay here I recommend you to stay in the first floor dorms, they seems to be more quiet and spacious. I would never come back here.

We stayed 5 nights here with 2 kids. The unit is cozy with good heating. There’s a kitchenette and full fridge available for us although we hardly use it. The washing machine comes in real handy as we are able to wash our clothes. The breakfast is available at the cafe downstairs and it is sufficient for us although not much variety. The location of this guesthouse is easy for us to travel everywhere in Seoul. The hike uphill is quite a challenge for us especially when our kids get tired. I would like to commend that the service is really good. We arrived at 11am as we took a red eye flight. They let us check in to catch a nap before lunch. The power nap really helped us to regain our strength before we start the day. They also helped us keep our huge luggage when we took off to Sokcho although we have already check out. Thumbs up for great hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Collective Gangnam Sac Roium, our room was clean, kitchen and bathroom were well appointed. Our only complaint was the second bedroom’s futon mattress was not cleaned prior to our visit, my daughter found dried rice on the futon, there was no futon cover, just the futon and blanket provided. There was a strong odor when checking the laundry cabinet, we did not need to use the washer so we left the closet closed during our stay. We enjoyed the neighborhood stores, 711 store was just across  the street from our Lobby, very convenient. We enjoyed walking around, checking out the different restaurants and coffee places inspite of the occasional construction barricades. Our hotel room was very quiet during our stay which added to our enjoyment,

The hotel is decent overall, but there are a few drawbacks that might impact your stay. First, there are too many stairs, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. The rooms and common areas feel quite cramped, leaving little room to move around comfortably. While the staff are polite, their hospitality doesn't quite match the warmth you'd expect. They’re helpful to a certain extent, but their friendliness seems a bit forced or limited. On the bright side, the breakfast is a highlight of the stay. The variety and quality of the food are excellent, offering a delicious and hearty start to the day. It's definitely more than enough to keep you energized for whatever plans you have.
