I spend nearly 2 months in Republic Plaza and I had a good experience. The apartments are very nice and new, with balconies and depending on which side is the apartment there is airport view or city view. I loved the fact that it is surrounded of everything you might need, coffees, grocery, seven eleven, beauty saloon where I was going every day, a big supermarket and the shppping malls 15/20 min by Grab and extremely cheap! The republic plaza staff is nice and helpful and always caring! I would love to be back again as the apartment has everything for short and long stays and for anything you might need the manager is always helpful and available!

Previous long term resident of the building. The reception staff, the management, the service. Absolutely disgusting people. They promote on their facebook as a ”5 start full service building”. That's a joke! At most, 3 star. You are required to pay FULL rates, no matter the level or amount of service they provide (or don't provide). They lie, they make up information. This building over charges for electricity with the reasoning ”we have a pool”. The pool is usually disgusting, green with algae, never cleaned. The pool also constantly leaks because the building is too cheap to use proper materials and to fix things, the right way. The gym, hahaha! There is no gym. There is a room, a smelly mold filled room with 2 treadmills, two dumbbells and a broken multi-purpose machine. Sorry no, cleaning for this staff means just removing large flowers and leaves...but the dead bugs, hair, cigarette butts...along with the pool tiles falling off and never being maintained. This is what they think is clean. They will replace bedding with ripped sheets/pillow cases/stained bedding. I would never suggest or advise anyone to stay, especially under this management. They change fees without any notice to tenants. Rooms are decent size however they only have studio apartment or 2 bedroom. They will say they have 1 bedroom, but it's false. It's a studio with sliding glass door/wall. So much more I could write about how horrible this place is. Oh and if you live there long term they will threaten you if you say anything negative about the building or service to other guests. They worry so much about their ”reputation” and what others will think in wanting to stay here....however their actions are that they simply don't care. The ”maintenance” worker is lazy, uneducated, has no idea how to actually fix things. The buildings idea of ”fixing” is basically putting a bandaid on something until it breaks again and unless you constantly keep on them to get things resolved, they still aren't. The management and how building is run will make constant excuses or just straight up lie about many things just because they don't know the answers or only want you to be aware of certain things, and hide others. EVERYTHING they promote about themselves is all false advertising! How do you call something a ”2 bedroom connecting suite” when it really is just a studio apartment with a bed right in the middle of the living space and a storage closet that was turned into a bedroom...Hmmm...1 bedroom....but calling it a 2 bedroom connected suite? These people are jokes! Whenever you address something directly with them, they have no answer...they just ignore and hope that you will go away so they don't have to make up some excuse, since they have no actual resolution.

We arrived after 4 hrs of dusty hot travel to a nightmare. We booked a Deluxe Studio but what we got was not what was pictured. My partner spoke to the owner over the phone and she kept rambling about how it's not her fault. That Agoda was fault and posted the wrong pictures. What?!!? She admitted that this issue has happened several times before. We asked why she has not fixed the issue with Agoda yet to which she didn't reply but instead resumed to complaining it was not her fault but Agoda's. We contacted Agoda but they didn't help much either. Finally, the receptionist gentlemen agreed to sidestep the incompetent owner and promised to give us the room that we booked as advertised the next day. We definitely appreciated him. Also wi-fi was spotty. But the hotel was new and clean. The hot water in the shower was pretty decent.

The hotel is ok but not great. We wanted a quiet room. We were given room 105 on the first floor. The window from the room led to the corridor, so it was completely covered with thick curtains. And alas, the room was not quiet. But, for 29 dollars - a normal option. They asked to extend the stay in the room until 14.30, since we needed to get to the airport later than 12 o'clock, they extended the stay by 2.5 hours for 100k dong.

I love it here! First of all, the staff was great and kind. Easy check in. Although the manager is not always resident, it will contact you in advance through the communication software (I use what's app) and reply any questions quickly. The location is great too, very nice place, close to the city center! Walking distance to the main attractions of Ho Chi Minh City's First County where you want to go. The top floor is equipped with washing machine and dryer, free self-service laundry, and a comfortable balcony. The room has a kitchenette, pots and bowls of kitchenware and an induction cooker microwave. Great shower, fast wireless network. A large water dispenser is provided in the lobby, providing clean, hot or room temperature drinking water! I will stay in Ho Chi Minh City next time and highly recommended.

This is one of the hotels that I quite enjoy in the experience of using self-serving accommodation services. This is a fairly new model in Vietnam, although in other Asian countries it has to be developed. Location: located in the central district but it is difficult to find this homestay location. It took me nearly 40 minutes just to follow the google location, without any instructions from the homestay. The equipment in the room is quite comfortable, but the stone floor in front of the elevator is dirty but not newly polished. Some equipment on the door is dirty but not cleaned. The bed is soft, everything is very good. The whole stay I rate 3.5/5 Checkin is quite difficult, there is no signboard, you have to call instead of having a guide The hotline or check-in procedure is relatively time consuming to open the door and get the key - There are still some shortcomings such as checkout that needs to be notified in advance to extendtay, the amenities locker is locked when I need it, I don't know where to get it or open it. I recommend this property, cheap and clean, very milenial. Location perfect, only walking distance to Bui Vien Street (but very quiet at night) and some tourist attaractions. The receptionist was very nice, helpful, and smiley, he helped us a lot (except for the shorter guy who always have night shifts, he's a little like the 'i dont care' guy hahaha). When we were checking-in, the hotel owner came to help us with the check-in process andbdeliver our luggage to the room, he was super kind and he even takes us to the best money changer to exchange our money, and we ate dinner at his restaurant in front of the hotel, he accompanied us till the dinner finished. we couldnt be more thankful. And look forward to stay at this hotel again.

The apartment was large and had a balcony. We used the washing machine to wash. That was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and fulfilled our wishes. The cleaning lady wasn't friendly. All you can eat restaurants are nearby. The street food opposite is very good. We felt good. Thank you.

We stayed with Ms Vy for 5 nights and had a perfect experience. The room was spotlessly clean with good air conditioning, the location is in the heart of District 1 (very walkable to all attractions we wanted to see) and the owner was so lovely in taking care of us, providing recommendations for places to visit, doing our laundry for a very reasonable price, and even offering free coffee each morning. We would definitely stay here again!

What a brilliant place! Fantastic location down an alley so minimal noise from the very loud ‘walking street’. Clean. Nice beds. Great pillows! Private bathroom. TV in room with English channels. Air con and fan plus mini fridge with drinks cheaper than Circle K! Mrs Ha and another lady called Nang both speak good English and have lots of excellent recommendations for tours and places in the city. Very helpful and kind. I have stayed here twice and will come back again! Cannot rate highly enough!
