The entrance password changes every day(?), but this is not notified to all users. At least, there are a certain number of guests, including myself, who cannot open the door and hit the intercom repeatedly at night, and who bang on the door repeatedly. This is probably the case for people who have not returned to the inn for more than a day (stayed elsewhere during their stay). I was afraid of getting into trouble as a result of letting someone in at my own discretion, so I asked the owner to contact me directly and gave him the owner's phone number, but the owner did not answer the phone and I ended up letting him in. To be honest, the sound of people hitting the intercom repeatedly and banging on the door at night was scary for me. I may have overlooked something, including myself... Also, the check-in method will be communicated to the owner by email after arrival. Therefore, although it is a self-check-in, if you want to check in late, we recommend that you check in advance to see if you can check in at that time.

It is right by the beach. It's quiet and has a delicious breakfast. I personally took the bus here and it was easy to come to and from this location. In respect to where I was going, I think it was a good deal. I got to enjoy the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and my trip went really well.

The host, Ron, was very friendly, very understanding guy. 100% made my experience comfortable. The location is next to Little Tokyo and the (new) Little Tokyo subway station. A lot of good eating areas around Little Tokyo. The sleeping/living area had very poor air conditioning. The bathroom and shower are quite rustic and gross, but that's not something I personally care about. I know other people are sensitive to this, so I will preface that I saw cockroaches in the bathroom. By no means is the toilet disgusting without being cleaned, but rather something you'd find at a bar downtown... Generally speaking though, the experience was good and I will be visiting again in the future. To emphasize, the host, Ron, really made me feel comfortable with being in LA.

I walked from the airport around 11pm and arrived without any hesitation. If you look at Google Maps, you can confirm that the entrance is at the back. Convenient to both the airport and Hollywood. You can borrow towels for free. Laundry is also available for a fee. The Salvadoran restaurant next door is delicious.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! The room had a playful, secret base-like atmosphere, which was exciting. The outside noise was a little loud, and the bed was close to the air conditioner, so the mechanical noise was also a bit annoying, but if you check in early, you can choose your bed, so if you don't mind privacy, I recommend choosing the lower bed.

The two bosses are so kind! The bed is small but it's right for you alone! Considering the dormitory part, if you are good at group life, this is the best accommodation. This hostel was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space to store my luggage. On site washer and dryer. On site snack and drink vending machine. Community refrigerators to use if you like for personal groceries. Everyone was welcoming and very polite. I felt very comfortable and safe. This hostel to set up for long term if needed. The check in/out process was respectfully simple. The free street parking was a bit challenging so I added the optional service to reserve a parking on the hostel property. Close the shopping stores, restaurants, grocery stores, bank's, bus stations, etc. I highly recommend this hostel.
