I stayed with Samesun in Toronto in Mars 2023. They have a 24 h open reception. The check in went smoothly, the rooms, bathrooms and showers were clean! You have a charger and a small lamp by your bed and curtains to separate yourself from the other’s. The best thing about the stay was the free of charge breakfast in the morning! Coffee, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit etc.. so nice.

You won't get any sleep because that room has too much noise around. I barely had any sleep until 2am. I had to complain at midnight and tell them that. Beside that, room had no TV or a working clock (needs a battery). Not a deal breaker, but if you want to sleep ”DONT ” let them give you room 10. Ever, It's close to entrance so too much noise. No issues with safety or cleanliness. Affordable price for sure.

What to say... … There are good and ”catastrophic we have never seen that in our life” Let's start with the good points: - the location is really perfect - the price - the parking option offered by the owner. .. Apart from that it's dramatic. Before even arriving we were attacked by message by the manager (who does not wish to exchange in person and prefers WhatsApp). Once we arrived I think we were lucky to have room 13, the owner was himself surprised at the room when he entered. Unobstructed view of a wall at ... 1 meter and a temperature of 16 degrees (the air conditioning works, there's nothing to say)! 3 unwelcoming prison beds but sufficient after days of walking in the city. Proper operating rules posted on the door could have cost us dearly if they had not been respected: - $150 if there is water outside the shower [I should point out that the shower head faces the outside] - $50 for music that is too loud - $50 if you eat in the room - $500 if you smoke in the room… The list is long During the stay the police landed in the upstairs room (breaking not only the front door of the hotel but also the door of the room above) to be able to intervene because a guy was hitting on his girlfriend (aka a Bertrand Cantat). It is a hotel in which obviously anything can happen and which should represent an iconic place of passage for a visit to Toronto.

This is a l neighbourhood house setup as a inns with multiple rooms. Room is clean look like renovated the only down side is the house and neighbourhood is run down conditions u will not likely to put up there in first impression. It is convenient to reach the bus and street car or slight walk direct to transit train. The surrounding offers many eating restaurants and especially Chinese food as is Chinatown. If u willing to accept the basic room just for night sleep with the price is a choice.

Despite reading some negative reviews from previous years, I had a great experience staying here! Inside was clean, simple, and comfortable. I was in a room of 4 with a private bathroom. Staff were generous and kind. I was able to leave my bags here the day I checked out and came back to collect them in the afternoon. Great location in the city, and felt safe here (there was a homeless encampment in the park but they keep to themselves). Would definitely recommend it and stay again!

The apartment was at 85 Queens Wharf. Apt 1701. The instructions were sent to us the day before we left, and were really easy to understand. Gaining entry into the building was easy as we did exactly as instructed. The apartment is modern and had washing machine and dryer. Hair dryers. Toothpaste and toothbrushes, cleaning products and tea and coffee supplies. Ironing facilities, kettle toaster and more... In fact lots more than we needed! We found the security to be really polite and helpful upon our arrival and during our stay. We had amazing views of the CN Tower and Lake Ontario. Upon arrival we noted the bath plug was not working. We contacted by WhatsApp and it was dealt with the next day. The building is close to Tim Hortons, bars, cafes and grills. The entertainment area and lake. I really cannot fault Simply Comfort Suites at all. We had a fab stay and we will definitely use again in the future.

This is a homestay with a great location, close to the subway station and a large supermarket. The house 🏠 The rooms upstairs and downstairs are almost full. The wooden house stairs are not very soundproof, so you have to walk lightly up and down the stairs. The room facilities are relatively complete, with a shared kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. The bathroom on each floor is shared by each room. The boss is very nice, with pots, pans, and tableware. He also prepared a large bucket of laundry detergent for backup. . . The roommates are all very friendly👍

It was against my better judgment to stay here after reading so many bad reviews but all other hostels were full. The owner needs to either employ more staff or train the ones they have on how to clean. While my bed appeared clean nothing else did. The carpets are disgusting and need to be ripped out. The bathrooms while seemingly fairly new are disgusting with mould, soap build up and general dust & dirt. This could be a great place with some effort as the location is interesting and on a good public transport route.

Very poor. Before moving in, I suddenly said that I would pay 80 Canadian dollars for cleaning. After I checked in, there were a lot of towels and other supplies in the dryer that had not been dried. There was a small half roll of toilet paper left. I looked for the whole house and didn't even have a spare roll. The next day you have to check out before 11 o'clock, otherwise you will have to charge dozens of dollars a delay fee for an hour. And the administrator downstairs said that there is no place to store luggage in the building.

If you are looking for a fancy hotel with a lot of amenities this is not it. But if you want a comfortable, clean, nice room in a quirky neighborhood with friendly and helpful staff, at a good price, then I recommend Ode. the owner and her staff were very helpful and made sure I had whatever I needed. The room was very nice and had character, spacious, with a nice bathroom.

The location is great with everything you need nearby, a little out of the way from Toronto which is what I wanted. The room was nice although a little unclean. There was hair on the floor. The sheets were not ironed (so the impression that they had already been used ran through my head). The highlight is the bathroom, urine on the edge of the toilet, big piles of hair in the walk-in shower. Too bad the other hosts did not respect the bathroom, plus there was no breakfast, it was included in the price but in the end it was just coffee available etc.... That we had to make ourselves.

Was what I expected, a dorm style room with hard beds. Not complaining for the price we paid. A little cool in our basement room until we figured to block the gap in the door with a towel. Location was very convenient as I had an event at York U. Fairly quiet. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Overall 4 out of 5 rating.
