A simple spacious room with shared bathrooms in a lodge, with a hotel nearby where you can eat (not cheap but very nice and with excellent views of Mt Kinabalu). Clean bathrooms with good hot water showers. Really worth it if you are doing the full summit hike. I wanted to explore the park around and would have been better off staying near Poring hot spring.From$31

Stayed here for a night. The location is a little off because you cannot see Mt. Kinabalu anywhere, but you would find yourself surrounded by pine trees, which is also a point to add. You could hear the winds at night, a little scary but also serene at the same time. I would not be bothered by anything else except for the network. It was so slow during my stay, eventhough they provided the wifi. What is the point connecting to the wifi if you cannot use it anyway? Our phone network also did not work there, unfortunately. It’s a big concern because people would want to text, call their families and friends besides updating their social medias and making research for attractions etc. If the management team could figure this out and work for a better improvement on this issue, it would be great and more pleasurable to stay. Other than that, it was a good stay. Thank you!From$26

Our stay here was absolutely magical!
The weather was perfect—chilly and pleasant, with a nice breeze. Since we’re used to hot weather, it was like a dream come true.
The reception area was huge and right next to it was a great restaurant that served delicious Nasi Goreng. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the resort itself was clean and well-maintained.
The view was incredible! From our room on the Kinabalu Wing, we could see the majestic Mount Kinabalu. It was breathtaking!
Just a heads up, the dirt and stone road leading to the resort is about 2.2 km long, and if you’re not used to it, it might be a bit bumpy. If you’re coming here for the first time, it’s best to arrive before dark.
I’m definitely going back here again! Maybe next time, I’ll have a barbecue under the stars of Kinabalu. That would be epic!From$48

The view is magnificent. You can see the mountain very clear at early morning. The road condition to this place is quite challenging for 2wd vehicle. Extra cafeful during drive is a must cause some of the road is steep and visibility during night is limited especially when its raining. Overall im satisfied with my stay.From$105

We stayed at Happy Pink, we like the cold nights and breeze there! The view is the same as the photos! Perfect for nature lovers who love sceneries' more the TV. The swing outside each house is enjoyable to have a view at Mount KK. We like the cosyness of the restaurants and the service there. Food is ok but a little slow in serving. Negative is that the water for showering is too weak to be used. We were joking that ”By the time the water flow down to our feet, our hair is already dry”From$63

Firstly, the telephone number to the outlet is + 6 012 869 6969 as shown on a signage at the entrance to the outlet; the number advertised on this platform is not helpful when I called two days ago to ask about my booking.
Secondly, the road from the entrance down to the parking bays is steep requiring experience and skillful drivers especially when their vehicles are loaded with passengers or baggage.
Thirdly, the wash basin faucet in the bathroom of my room is loose, the shower head hose is inflexible, and the water pressure is below average.From$28

The hotel is in an excellent location and has a very high cost-effectiveness! The locals who chartered our car all said it was good! You can overlook Mount Kinabalu, which is especially beautiful in the morning and evening. The cabins complement the natural scenery! The beds are clean and the rooms all have large balconies. The store has cats and dogs, they are gentle and friendly, and the dogs will escort you when you go out to climb the mountain. The boss is of Chinese descent, fluent in Chinese, and kind-hearted. Seeing that we have a family and it is inconvenient to have no car, he helped us buy bread and shared dinner. He insisted on not charging money and just said that we were visitors from afar.
Check-in precautions are as follows:
Animals: Most of the local cats and dogs in Mount Kinabalu are free-range and are more free to go out. It is difficult to tell whether they are stray or not. Although most of them are friendly, it is best to keep quiet, polite and keep a safe distance when encountering cats and dogs.
Food and Beverage: The hotel sells instant noodles and snacks. There is a dining table on the large terrace and you can borrow bowls and chopsticks, but there is no catering service.
Transportation: It is more convenient to have a car to travel to Mount Kinabalu, but driving in the mountains requires driving skills, car condition and power. We chartered a car for two days, including pick-up and tours. We did not charter a car for one day and rested in the hotel.
Facilities: Don't expect too much from the hotel's hardware and software. For example, the curtains in our room seemed to have been damaged by the previous guests and have not been replaced or decontaminated. The main purpose of coming to the mountains is to experience the natural scenery.From$34

Fantastic stay. I love everything abt The Pampines. It was newly built, amenities all new.. i love the shower gel & shampoo, very generous ..not even five star hotel put the whole bottle inside the bathroom. New & clean. I hope they will maintain the cleanliness. I am very sure that I will come back for my next Kundasang trip 😍
Since there is construction going on around the premise, I believe they will expand & will have more facilities such as a cafe, maybe ..
I requested an early check in, the staff was very helpful.
