The room had a lot of charm, with the traditional bed which, to my surprise, was comfortable even with the rigidity.
I could not enjoy the patio because of the mosquitoes but it is really very charming!
The young woman at the reception and the Ayi (the aunt who takes care of breakfast and cleaning) are people with a heart of gold who will do everything to enhance your stay. You have the choice of Western or Chinese breakfast, personally I enjoyed the Chinese breakfast which is typical of the region.
I recommend this hotel 100%!

The hotel itself beautiful, with a lovely courtyard and nice rooms. Very comfortable with good air conditioning.
The absolute best thing about the hotel is the staff. We were treated so warmly and with such kindness. They gave us free water and a map when we arrived, and marked out the key places to see in city. We are vegetarian, which is pretty challenging in China but they made us a very tasty breakfast. They also allowed us to check in a bit early and out a little late, which was really appreciated.
We loved our stay here and would strongly recommend to anyone.

Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants.
The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

PS 題外話:古城的交通真的一言難盡，下午離開從北門到酒店打不到車，從酒店到北門路上的車不送，空着也不送，説是要接團，走了3.4公里，走着去取了行李。回去的交通也是，外面堵的一踏糊塗，汽車、電動車、行人隨意穿行，沒有人行道，不安全。
