The room was nice and the bed was really comfortable and that was important to me as I only stayed there a handful of hours to catch some sleep before catching a delayed connection. The only thing I didn't like was that after using the taxi to get to the airport, which the front desk person kindly called, I was informed that I should have been given a voucher because the shuttle service at the hotel was down due to the cold and the vehicle they use not working properly, which I wasn't given. As such I paid for the taxi out of pocket ($15) which isn't a big deal but comes across as being a bit cheap. Otherwise, the hotel was nice, the price was great on Trip.com and overall it was quite a pleasant stay and experience.

The wooden cabinet facing the bed and the double-layered curtains made me feel like I was in a horror movie. I woke up several times and only slept for five hours. I regretted why I believed the pictures and chose this hotel instead of paying a few hundred yuan more to go to another hotel and barely sleep during the transfer. The front desk answered all my questions and had a good service attitude.

|5.62km from city centerBecause I missed the flight and had to find a place to stay overnight, it was more worry-free to find this hotel with free airport shuttle service. I called the hotel and soon arranged a car to pick me up at the airport. When I checked in, I also made an appointment for the Suttlebus to take us to the airport the next morning, which was more reassuring.
There is a simple buffet breakfast, not many types, including coffee, tea, milk, scrambled eggs, bread, jam, butter, oatmeal, cornflakes, etc. Basic requirements can be met. The room is clean and tidy. You need to bring your own toothbrush and slippers. There is a coffee machine and coffee pods for drinks. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room is quite loud, which will affect your sleep at night. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and a children's water slide, which is also very suitable for children. There are different restaurants opposite the hotel, and there is also a shopping mall within 5 to 10 minutes walk, which is a very convenient location.

There is a small swimming pool on the first floor, and the environment is ok. The double beds in the double room are large, with a balcony, a coffee machine, and hygiene. You can see Calgary Tower when you go out. It takes about five or six minutes to walk.

The hotel is new, beautiful and well located. The breakfast room is impressive with its size, tall ceilings, views and terrace. The breakfast itself is great with its variety, including waffles and a delicious South Asian(?) vegetable stew each day. The suites are large and well equipped, and the bed comfortable. Now if only the staff could treat customers a bit better.
We paid $30 for underground parking, which was important to us because we got an upgraded rental car and were liable for it. On the second day, the garage was completely full, with more cars entering the garage - thanks to a broken capacity indicator that permanently shows 208 spaces.
Staff basically blamed it on the fact that the garage is a private facility unrelated to the hotel. They sent us to two nearby surface lots. One was only available till 8:00 at a cost of $22.52. The second one was a dirt field.
1. I don’t care whose lot it is. You sold me access to it at an extortionate price and did not mention any other options, implicitly endorsing it.
2. Don’t sell more spaces than you have, especially at that price.
3. Know and explain options. Don’t direct your customers to a lot that only sells space till 8:00 for over 3 times the price as the next lot. You are wasting my time.
Then at 4:00 am, we were woken up by a loud motor noise coming from the fridge. We had to move it and unplug it (it’s a full size fridge, not a hotel fridge). The clerk’s reaction? “Sorry about that, I’ll tell maintenance.”
We had one night parking taken off the bill. No consideration for the hassle both from the parking and the fridge.
You can do better. Better policies, better communication and a bit more generosity.
Overall, not a good experience.

After waiting for more than an hour, I still couldn't see the trace and finally I could only call the hotel to the hotel for 17 Canadian dollars. Call the hotel three times during the period, the answer is not waiting for a while they are going to check with the driver. When I arrived at the front desk of the hotel, I said that the driver had been waiting there. I firmly answered the impossible. I have never seen the car coming. Later, I said that the car had a problem and eventually compensated for a breakfast coupon. It’s ridiculous to let the guest wait an hour on such a cold day and lie. Although the hotel is new and the interior space is large, I will not book it again next time. The next day I booked the shuttlebus, but I was late, and I was disappointed.

There are shopping centers and Chinese supermarkets T&T not far from the surrounding area. There is some space on the edge of the hotel lobby. Free American breakfast is provided. Our suites include two separate queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, the kitchen is connected to the living room, the living room has a sofa bed (suitable for one person), the kitchen provides a refrigerator, microwave and required cookware and cutlery, and seasonings - salt and pepper. Facilities, furniture and decoration are a bit old, but they are all very useful.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, they let me check in earlier than their 3pm check in time, but lets be honest, they weren't full and preventing people from checking in early when they have rooms free is just bad service. The hotel itself was underwelming, and everything was bare minimum effort. It smelled of cleaning solution and cigarettes, and has poor soundproofing. There was no water in the room and their vending machine was empty, so I had to walk to a nearby gas station to get something to drink. It is close to the airport and within a few blocks of restaurants, but this place has the feel of barely kept up motel. I guess this is what you get in this price range in Calgary.

The overall environment of the hotel is ok. It is on a main road with heavy traffic. It’s just that the hotel pictures are more magnificent. It’s not that big in reality, and it looks a little small. Especially the lobby, which is incomparable with the domestic ones. The size is similar to that of the lobby of a general express hotel. The facilities are acceptable, and it looks small and exquisite. The lobby provides a coffee machine, which is quite good, but it’s a pity that the hot cocoa and chocolate hot drinks are always insufficient, and you have to drink bitter coffee. The room is of moderate size, but the air conditioner is a bit noisy, and the whirring sound of the wind is not easy to accept for sensitive people. I thought it was the only one, but who knew that the west side of this cemetery is also a public offering. There are five or six cemetery groups around this large area, and there is also a Chinese cemetery. The huge green grass area around the hotel is not a park, but a cemetery! Fortunately, the cemetery here is not so scary. It feels like a casual place like a park that you usually pass by, so it doesn’t produce too much gloomy feeling. As for the service, the front desk here is not like the beautiful girls in China. There are a few old men. A middle-aged white man looks good, but those old men are not so good. They are from the Middle East and their facial muscles don’t move much to show a smile. They give people a feeling of being gentle and indifferent, and they are not suitable for the service industry! The room service is ok, if it weren't for the sullen faces of the people serving at the front desk, the rest would be acceptable.

The front desk upgraded the room type to a top floor room. The room has a large usable space, the bathroom is large, and the equipment is LeLabo. The gym and swimming pool are on the B1 floor of the hotel. The swimming pool is not large, but the temperature of the pool is very comfortable. What impressed me most about this hotel is the Hawthorn Lounge on the first floor of the hotel. Breakfast is served a la carte, with dedicated service. At the end of the meal, a postcard from the hotel is given to you. The location of the hotel is very convenient, just one step away from Calgary Tower and Wonderland Sculpture; the room service is fast.
