|1.67km from city centerDear EMA House Team (1 Nordstrasse Zurich) I have been staying with you on and off since May 2023. I cant rate you high enough, 5 Stars don't do justice. You are a fantastic team who have accommodated all my plan changes, even when it was at a short notice due to flight cancellations etc. The place is spotless and much better than any hotel in Central Zurich. I don't even think about looking for any other place in the city. I always feel very welcome when I arrive even when it was late at night. The suites are modern, clean, specious and very comfortable. |0.92km from city centerElegant, older, well maintained, albeit a bit dated, the hotel is located directly across the street from the Zurich main train station and trolleys. If, as we did, you want to be within easy walking distance of the train station this is a great location. If you want to be in a very quiet location on or close to the lake, this is not where you want to stay. There is a small grocery store in the underground passageway to the train station. The hotel common areas are well-maintained, and it has a small bakery and bar that serves a very good dinner. There is a separate restaurant space on the second floor that only serves breakfast, and the food and the staff are excellent and it’s fairly priced. However, the hotel does not have a conventional restaurant. The lobby and rooms are small by american standards, but very quiet and well-appointed, have a good bed and the bathroom has a bath/shower combo with very good water pressure (and air conditioning). The small electric refrigerator in the room was set up as a mini-bar, but it was ok to remove the bottles. It does not get very cold. We were upgraded to a small suite with a sitting room, so I don’t know what a standard room would be like. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There did not appear to be a concierge. The hotel allowed us to check-out 2 hours later, which we appreciated. All in all, a very good hotel for the price. However, if you’re looking for a very high-end american-style hotel, this may not be for you, but you should expect to pay two to three times more for those hotels

|1.97km from city centerI was plagued with trepidation before staying at the Swiss Star California. I had read some negative comments on Google Maps and trip.com, and the dread of what might go wrong loomed heavy over me. However, as fate would have it, my fears were unwarranted - the hotel, or rather, the service apartment, turned out to be a pleasant surprise and surpassed my expectations.
The room was clean, well-equipped, and not too shabby. The heater functioned perfectly, which was a relief since it was a frosty February in Zurich. They had everything one would expect from a basic hotel room.
But here's a word of caution: after booking your stay, make sure to check your email. You will receive a message from the hotel, not just a confirmation, containing the passcode and room number. Without this information, you might find yourself stranded outside the door, with no one to receive your calls or help with check-in. Trust me; I know how it feels to be left out in the cold, frantically seeking assistance from Trip.com.
Furthermore, if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to pray for a room on the ground or first floor. Unfortunately, there is no lift in the building.
However, let's not forget that this is one of the most affordable places to stay in Zurich. With that in mind, who could realistically expect luxury amenities and top-notch service? All in all, Swiss Star California proved to be a pleasant surprise and an excellent value for the price.

However, we can’t seem to have an option not to have the staff from coming in to clean our room whenever we are out for an activity. We prefer to have more privacy as we do keep some of our less important belongings in the room. Overall, it is a good experience.

 But we are self-driving tours. There is no paid large public parking lot. The so-called parking lots shown on the mobile phone map are private or supermarkets. In short, he will not give you parking as soon as the supermarket closes. Payment is not paid or paid. But there is also a way to find the  white ground line  meter ． on the street can be parked for free until 9 am, and then continue for two hours . In short, if you drive over, don't look like we stormed  looking for a public parking lot in this area, you can't find it, put it on the street.
 There is no picky place to live. There is also a cute small terrace that is to study how to open the iron curtains for a while. It turned out that the switch was on the back of a wooden frame, not on the window.
The cleanliness is high, the space is large, the cabinet is very beautiful, and it is also equipped with a dishwasher, which is very convenient. This is our dinner.  Everything is good. If you want to be picky, the two cooking pots are not very useful. I hope to finish these small things. It will be perfect. Next time I come to Zurich, I will live in this room, because the check-in is simple, he will give you a password and press the password key at the door and fall off, and there is a lock at the gate, the whole seat is safer, there is also an elevator Don't worry about luggage . But on the last day, I have to leave  and open this apartment and move to the hotel, because he has no luggage storage

|1.78km from city centerWhat a great hotel! We were so happy with everything about it. It was close to the train station in Zurich with easy access to bus and tram routes. We were so impressed with the employees, everyone was very kind and helpful. The room was large and spotless. We especially loved all the amenities , the top quality soap and lotions, water , robes, slippers, sleep masks. We felt very pampered. We paid for the breakfast and were not disappointed. They had a vegetarian option which one had and the other had the meat option. It was presented in a elegant way with great service. We were only sorry that we had not booked for more days. We definitely will be back.

It is a 15-minute walk from the central railway station, and can also take 2 light rail stations. Close to Bahnhofstrasse, the service staff is very welcoming, in a hotel like Switzerland it is considered to be large, the room is still floor and very warm. Staying in the hotel has a touch of history.

|5.07km from city centerModern updated accommodations on the northern fringe of Zurich. It made for a nice, affordable stay within reach of what we came to this part of Switzerland to do. The first time I have been to the city while not on business and happy to report that the city has a lot to offer. The overall challenge with Switzerland is prices exceed what they should be. Drive an hour and a half north, south or west and prices drop by half for just about everything. It is what it is and just know and accept this. What I really liked about the hotel. 1. The decor, look and feel. Exudes class, without opulence. 2. Close to other shopping and transport links 3. The customer service was kind and helpful even with bloopers made along the way. They owned their mistakes and made it right. This is huge in my book-- well done. 4. Breakfast was very good 5. Outside terrace a respite from the one hot day we had. 6. Bed was comfortable 7. Ritual soaps in the bathroom. What I did not like: 1. Parking was 19 CHF per night 2. There was a blooper at check in (giving them credit, they made it right) What they should consider: 1. Add USB plugs at the night stand area 2. Maybe consider how to encorporate ”swiss'ness” into the stay (Lindt chocolate on the pillow, or something to that effect...) Overall: Good hotel, competitive price point with good customer service.

|1.72km from city centerYou have to be prepared for what you will get here: check-in at the counter of a busy convenience store, followed by a climb up a bunch of stairs. At the end of them, the room is extremely small, though very clean. We appreciated the small sink and refrigerator, as well as the free coffee on offer in the store. The worst thing about our experience was tremendous noise from some machine in the street at 2 in the morning — louder than anything I’ve ever heard in an urban setting before. Still, in the world’s most expensive city, the price felt like a bargain, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

|1.22km from city centerGreat hotel in a fantastic location. Reasonably priced and easy to get to. Tram 10 from the airport to Haldenegg stop, right outside the hotel door. We were greeted by Nadine,so friendly and welcoming we felt at home straight away. We were given a fabulous room on the top floor overlooking the courtyard and city. Beautiful sunsets and the sound of the bells. Chris on reception was so lovely and friendly. We loved our chats, he gave us helpful tips on where to go and attractions. Just short walk into Zurich or down the Polybahn. We ate in the vegan cafe on the corner next to the hotel and the Italian nearby. Great spots. So much to do in the city and you couldn't ask for better hosts. The bedroom was spotless and a massive comfortable bed. Recommend this hotel highly and we will be back Thank you.

Front desk staff Sam was extremely helpful and very polite, spoke English very well. Very clean hotel completely updated and this location is AAA for restaurants and bars, and is also quiet for a great nights sleep. Breakfast was ample to start our day. Coffee was great and a good selection of meats, cheeses, cereal and juice. The chocolate fondue machine at the entrance was really neat!

Train station and tour busses a 30-minute walk Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. WiFi didn't work but got a passcode for the business WiFi instead. Television also had some issues (kept rebooting). But, we chalk that up to a new place. Everything else was great!

|1.31km from city centerWe stayed in both the main hotel and in the guesthouse across the alley and were quite satisfied if both facilities knowing they been renovated within the last year. The main hotel is right around the corner from Zürich HB the rooms feature a nice private bath (new, big & clean) and nice modern styling. The guesthouse as new and stylish as hotels go, but the modular bath/shower unit with its semi-transparent blue glass leaves a lot to be desired when everyone in the room knows what your doing on toilet (very little privacy). We luckily are prepared and carry large binder clips and clipped a bath towel across the glass during our stay. The staff are amazing and extremely cordial. Free coffee/tea is offered 24/7 in the main hotel and on each floor. Guest house residents must go back across the alley to the main lobby. Day tour buses are right across the street for easy access. We would stay again definitely.

The breakfast is not a buffet, but it is tasty, personally served and more than sufficient. It is, as the name says, close to the station, but you all benefit from that, not a disadvantage, because the neighborhood is completely okay. You are in a few walking minutes in the restaurants and cafes area of Zurich. Great to visit the city if you want to keep it affordable.

The staff were lovely, and spoke English well. The rooms are cosy, but for a solo traveller it was great and well maintained. The shower had good pressure and hot water came relatively quickly unlike some other European hotels I've stayed in previously. The rooms had a very modern/scandy/mountain luxury feel. The restaurant that offered breakfast in the morning was fabulous! The most exotic fruit offering at a buffet breakfast I think I've ever had! They had figs, kiwi fruit, plums, watermelon, oranges and honeydew melon plus other fruit offerings. They also had quite an array of usual foods such as eggs, Bacon, sausages, Mushrooms, smoked salmon, pancakes, lots of bread options with spreads, raw vegetables such as cucumber and carrots etc plus more!! They even had prosecco, but it was a little too early for me!! Their hot chocolate was definitely a must try though!! I loved this hotel and would stay in again.

|0.81km from city centerCozy hotel conveniently located in old town Zurich. We stayed here for 4 nights in May and had reserved 2 rooms for 3 adults. We got rooms on the first floor conveniently close to each other and we're decent size for the location. Rates are a bit pricey like other hotels in Zurich but the amenities of the property, location and most importantly the hotel staff make the choice value for money. Located nearby all attractions, transportation and restaurants there's plenty of choice. The breakfast spread is amazing and a great start to the day. Excellent breads, cereals, salmon, meats and eggs cooked to order. Coffee machine. The staff are very helpful don't hesitate asking for local recommendations that one wouldn't otherwise be aware of. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Would highly recommend.

|2.51km from city centerI would rate this hotel average . . . not bad, not great, but average. Staff is helpful and the area is totally safe, not far from public transportation. I did find the rooms to be very stuffy and warm despite their having advertised that air conditioning was available. Fortunately, the windows could be opened and it cooled off at night so I was able to get some sleep with that and a borrowed fan. My rate didn't include breakfast so I can't comment on the food. Room keys are unique, big heavy ones that are designed to be left at the front desk when you leave the hotel, apparently. I was fine with that, one less thing to hold onto during my travels around town (photo below).

Compact room but very modern with cool amenities. Loved the big and soft towels. Found the hidden hair dryer in a cute pouch. Water pressure in the shower was just right. They also stored our luggage for an extra day. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to this hotel.

There was no air conditioning in the room and it was a bit stuffy to close the window. Opposite a very large COOP supermarket, it is convenient to buy 啥. Breakfast is 9.9 Swiss francs, children are free, full is OK. Mainly this price is really not available in Switzerland. The overall is still worth recommending.

Adler is centrally located in the historic heart of the city, but the double glazed windows block out any outside noise. I’m a super light sleeper, and we stayed on a Friday night, but didn’t hear a peep. That said: The room itself was tiny, but the view overlooking the square was charming. Very much a “what more do you need?” kind of vibe. The bed was very firm, and the pillows were very soft. For me, this is the opposite of my preference, but that’s personal, and I won’t fault the hotel. Elevator went out of order the morning of our departure, but they offered to carry our luggage down the stairs. This was definitely appreciated, as we were on the fourth floor. Also, I left my wedding ring on the nightstand, and upon realizing this, I called them: They offered to check, and called me back promptly to let me know they found it. No need to follow up, chase them down, bug them, etc. This was a great way to close the out transaction, and it left a very positive impression. I’d definitely stay again, thanks to the attitude of the staff.
