|0.34km from city centerThe room (for when called ”small”) was not very small, we found even worse abroad. The courtesy of the masters and their staff is excellent. The breakfast is very good. The internet connection is quick enough. It is excellent price quality and location (beside Ravenna railway station), which allows you to visit the whole city walking. Beds were the worst. Not so much (and not only) because the mattresses were too hard, but they also felt the mole, but mostly they were at ”ass back”, that is, they were spy on the sides. I risked falling from my bed several times because I was slowly ”moving”. Towards the edge of the mattress. Synd the washing was broken. All this we say in the heart of the heart because the living was overall positive.

A healthy and generous breakfast was served every morning. The updated rooms included round beds which were a bit unusual but the bathroom was very convenient. One caution is that there are steps up to the front door, more steps to the reception desk and still more steps to the elevator. That is the only flaw in the renovation.

There are supermarkets nearby, and Ravenna's main attractions and churches are also within walking distance. The interior of the room is quite satisfactory and has complete facilities. Because the room is under the roof of the top floor and the ceiling is sloped, the overall space is okay. There is mold inside the hair dryer. I hope it can be replaced or cleaned. Luggage can be stored in the lobby, and the staff is friendly.

|0.39km from city center· The hotel was located in the center of the old city and gave easy access to all we wanted to see. From a historical perspective, the hotel is situated directly opposite to all things pertaining to Dante; his house, tomb and museum. Of course there is so much more to been seen around the hotel too. We booked a Deluxe Suite which was essentially a 2 bedroomed apartment with kitchenette and dining area. It was all spotlessly clean and a great sense of generosity by means of the utensils, equipment provided. It was obviously well thought out to ensure that 'at home ' feeling which we felt immediately. The full sized fridge was generously stocked with the essentials of milk, fruit juice, butter and bottled water to get us started. The complementary breakfast consisted of a selection of cereals, cakes, biscuits crackers and dried fruit and some fresh fruit too. The manager even bought us a special Ravenna cake for us. The bedrooms were large with high ceilings and the entire apartment had a feeling of the romantic age of the city. However, as the hotel is situated in a pedestrian area with a few restaurants that had tables onto the street below us, it was a little noisy at night. It didn't bother us. In fact I enjoyed going to sleep listing to the clang of wine glasses and the sound of the melodic Italian language as people enjoyed the freedom to share once again. Being non meat eaters, we found excellent vegetarian and vegan restaurants within walking distance which was a real bonus for us. In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reunion Hotel and have already planned our return visit.

Our room was clean and comfortable with a small bathroom, all modern and functional. The compact buffet breakfast area was well organised with a reasonable supply of cereals, cold meat, cheese etc. and self-serve tea and coffee from a machine. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Beer and soft drinks were available from a vending machine. Several family restaurants and cafes were within walking distance.

|0.55km from city centerOur party of five had two rooms at the Mosaico prior to embarking on a cruise. It's hard to review this stay as there were two very distinct elements I'd rate very differently. Upon arrival, we were told our rooms were in the Residence Mosaico and we just had to 'turn right and walk a few minutes'. It was nearly half a mile on busy roads, at one point with no sidewalks, crossing at blind corners, all while lugging suitcases and trying to make sure our children were not run over. That part of the experience was HORRID. We didn't get good directions and had to pull out google maps to find the building, and there was no warning when we booked or any expectations set for this. That said, once we got to that building we were pleased. Each 'room' on the fourth floor was actually a full apartment with very high beamed ceilings, full kitchen, a washing machine in the bath, balcony and two bedrooms each. They were clean and quiet, with good AC, and we enjoyed the rooms...one we got there. It was a ten minute walk into Ravenna and once we knew how to find the building, we were ok (though hauling the suitcases back to the lobby to check out the next day was again rough). While I might stay there again, I would be sure to find out the location of my room before I paid off the taxi and unloaded everything half a mile away. The receptionist needs to give clearer directions (yes, it was 'turn right' but it was SO much farther than expected we kept thinking we'd missed it because surely it couldn't be that far. It's far enough that a shuttle should be offered when you have bags, at check in and check out.

The building is organised around a shady courtyard and is full of fascinating antiques and art. You are only c. 10 minutes walk from the station, a huge choice of places to eat and shop and also most of the main UNESCO sites - which are simply wonderful. At breakfast there is a wide choice of food and great coffee. Our hosts were very friendly, extremely helpful and made us welcome. I truly can't think of any negatives. We will certainly stay there again.

L hotel sembra ristrutturato da poco le camere non sono particolarmente spaziose ma comunque comode e dotate di ogni supporto e funzionalità. La forza dell’hotel sta senza dubbio nel personale. Ho viaggiato con un gruppo di amici e non ho mai trovato personale così disponibile e pronto a soddisfare ogni tipo di richiesta non ultima la possibilità di anticipare di mezz’ora la colazione del mattino. Complimenti a tutti ed in particolare al sig Marco in reception. Sicuramente tornerò al Byron. Consigliatissimo.

|0.44km from city centerWe stayed 2 nites prior to cruise departure. Very nice basic European hotel. Not fancy, but had some character. Good location, quiet neighborhood, we walked from train station to hotel (a little challenging with all the cobblestone), and walked everywhere in Ravenna. Loved the city - so charming. Its close to some of the famous mosaics. There are restaurants nearby and a market with a little coop grocery just a couple blocks away. Staff was SO friendly and helpful. They arranged transport to the port for us and coordinated everything the morning of departure (there were several parties in various transport vans all leaving around the same time - they kept track of van arrivals and what party was booked on what van, etc.). Very European - different than US hotels - everything was small (small elevator, small room & bathroom), temperature was a little warmer than I'm accustomed to in US (not sure if AC was on yet in early June?). Windows opened though so we could get some fresh air in the eve. Breakfast was Great! Buffet downstairs, had lots to choose from, incredible pastries and juices, cheeses, eggs, sausages, yogurt, fruit, etc. The staff was friendly and kept the food well stocked. So convenient.

It has a shuttle van , but pricey. Helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and generous breakfast, did I mention quality coffee. There is no gym. I like this hotel. C U Around
