Friendly and efficient check-in that included complimentary water bottles. Our balcony room on the 12th floor was on a corner, so we had views of the harbor, Coronado Island & bridge and Petco Park. We attended 2 games (Go Giants!) and appreciated our own special entrance, via the hotel sky bridge. It was so nice to just walk back to our room after the game. We easily walked to several restaurants and the Shout! House. The room was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The bed, pillows and linens were the most comfortable of a hotel bed we have experienced. There was one USB port and several plug ins. The Wi-fi, in-room coffee maker, security safe, refrigerator and blackout curtains were greatly appreciated. The closet was large, with hangers and two suitcase stands, so our room could stay tidy. We received drink vouchers for the bar on the 1st floor and imbibed before one of the ballgames. The balcony has sliding doors and brought in the fresh air. There was not too much street noise when sleeping. As soon as the sun comes up, the light rail trains, sirens, horns and loud engines can be heard. We didn't experience any noise from neighboring rooms. I think this was the first trip, ever, that there were no slamming doors, loud hallway talkers or running children. The bathroom was probably the oddest we have experienced. Extremely clean and updated, but the double sliding shutter doors were very bulky and noisy. Maybe some WD-40 on the tracks would help. There are decorative shutter ”windows” that did nothing to disguise sounds and smells. No sign of a fan, so we opened the balcony doors when in the room. Not a deal breaker, just a uniquely odd set up.

Location, location, location! I thought that because l used a booking site that our room would be sub-par. I couldn't be further from the truth, it came with the stadium and bay view, sure wish a game was on! Checking in and out was seamless. They provided the fridge and microwave as complimentary! The valet parking workers were the friendliest!

Overall good. It would be nice to know that unlike other hotels, there is no refrigerator, bathtub, or body wash. I ate breakfast every morning, but the breakfast was not a buffet, and I used the cafe and restaurant on the first floor of Indigo. The taste is about 3.5 points. It's about $12-18, but if you don't have many families, there are many brunch shops around, so it's recommended to go out and eat. It's 30 dollars per person for breakfast, but it's already paid, but at the breakfast restaurant, the price of food is around 10 dollars, so you can order one at a time. I think it was more because I was looking forward to breakfast. Anything else is good. Sound insulation will be fine if it is not very sensitive

I stayed at Hotel Gigi for three nights while attending a conference. Although I was a bit apprehensive at first, the stay turned out to be perfectly fine. The room might be a bit tight for a couple, but it’s manageable for one person. The hotel has no front and provides housekeeping when requested 24 hours in advance. The room featured a basin (with liquid hand soap provided), a small but separate bathroom with a shower stall, and an all-in-one shampoo/shower gel. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked efficiently, and the WiFi was fast. The TV was quite new, and I primarily used it to stream YouTube. The hotel is centrally located, just under ten minutes from the Padres stadium and about 17 minutes from the convention center. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel entrance. While I would have preferred a lower price, considering the rates of other hotels in San Diego, I think Hotel Gigi offers excellent value for money.

This hostel is CLASSY just as the name implies. The living space is huge, clean and awesome and filled with amenities like desks to work at with USB ports, sofas, benches, pool table, multiple TVs, etc. The kitchen is complete with FREEZER too (I was able to enjoy ice cream during my 5 night stay). I met a lot of cool people during my 5 night stay. There was coffee either always made or you can make a batch easily since all supplies were provided. The place was VERY bike friendly - I was able to leave my bike each night and not have to worry about it getting stolen from the outside. Bathrooms and the whole place is kept very clean. Staff is helpful and does a great job in maintaining the place. Carlos was particularly great - he shared a lot of empandas with me - he was very friendly. Fresh towels always available. The sleeping quarters were comfortable, spacious, quiet, etc ... This place is a secret gem - an awesome find. Con: When walking from the trolley station (2 blocks away) you do have to walk by some homeless people. Just be prepared for this. Con: Coffee creamer provided is french vanilla - it messed up the taste of coffee for me. I wish they provided original creamer (no flavor).

There is only one restaurant in the hotel, which serves an American à la carte breakfast. The hotel location is good, in the middle of the gas lamp area, there are many restaurants around, suitable for food. 3 minutes walk to the tram stop. Hotel facilities are not new, but in the United States hotels are pretty good, the old five-star standard in China. The service was great.

You can also go directly to the Convention and Exhibition Center from the first floor, which takes 7 minutes; The second is the environment, with sea view, there are two swimming pools on the first floor; from the first floor, it is about two kilometers of citywalk, and you can walk along the seaside to the Victory Kiss sign check-in place The hotel's sanitation/facilities and services are quite good, and there is a Chinese-speaking front desk reception. The only downside: the price is expensive

We came to San Diego to visit some friends we haven’t seen in awhile. We chose the Ocean Beach Hotel because of the location. It is close to the pier and walking distance to so many things. Overall, it was a nice hotel. There is free self-parking and the hotel is well-maintained. Eduardo was so friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and eat. The room was neat and the balcony had a nice view of the ocean. We were happy that it had a refrigerator to hold our drinks and fruits. The only major negative was it was a little noisy and the neighboring area felt a bit sketchy, but I’d come back again for sure.

🗺️Location: There is an office area around, but there is a small mall opposite, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. The only inconvenience is that the hotel door is on a one-way street, and it is a bit troublesome to go back to the hotel on the other side. 🌳Environment: The floor is very high, there is a large swimming pool on the garden floor, and there are sofas and bamboo chairs outside the lobby on the first floor, which looks very comfortable. 🏨Facilities: After all, American hotels are old, so the facilities are not very new, but passable. There is a bar in the lobby, a convenience store, and a business lounge for members. There is no alcohol, only drinks and fruits. 🏠 Room: spacious and bright, with good hygiene. The bedding is very comfortable, and the curtains have good shading effect to ensure the quality of sleep. The bathroom is very new, except that there are no disposable items, (you can ask the front desk for lotion, combs, etc.) everything else is very good. All in all, highly recommended! Very friendly hotel. Because I didn't get a free room upgrade, my parking fee was waived, thank you very much!

A pretty large resort, but with personal attention by the staff. Ground were well appointed. The rooms were very well appointed, beds comfortable, people serving us were pleasant. Would never hesitate to recommend the place. Can't wait to go back. My only complaints as follows - the one bartender at the Tequila Bar definitely wasn't into serving people with a smile. I asked him what beer he had available and he said ”some domestics and some imports”, turned and walked away. That was a turnoff. The other people who served us over the 3 nights were all fine, but not him. Also, we were on the 15th floor, yet surprisingly we could hear conversations down in the pool area, and especially the music playing. I found that as being a little odd. That is the only reason for dropping it down from 5 stars.

Admittedly, we selected this hotel because it was the best price in the area and was very close to Petco Park. Since we were in San Diego to attend a game, it was an easy decision. Our room was fine but fairly small. The bathroom was quite large and very nice. (I would have settled for a slightly smaller bathroom with larger room.) Our friends' room was even smaller. The rooftop bar had a great view and was very nicely set up. The one big negative I had....It was advertised online and in the elevator that the Bistro offered drinks and food throughout the day. The reality was that, due to limited staffing, it was closed. Complimentary coffee was available there....if you were lucky enough to find it. We were later told to just wave down the front desk person to get more coffee. I understand that, due to Covid, places are short staffed. I let them know that they need to change their web site since we were expecting to find a place within the hotel to grab coffee and snacks or a few bites. Otherwise, we were able to walk to so much in the area.

First time I came there with my husband in November 2021, and second time - with my middle daughter of 11 years old in March 2022. I love this hotel -we took both times side sea view - park and ocean -amazing view! Probably front beach view is better, but for us too expensive. Don't recommend rooms without view. All rooms ( I suppose) have balcony, where pleasant to sit to have tea (or drinks in the evening). More romantic place than family. But my daughter loved pool and beach. So it's family too:) Close to hotel there is nice park with kids stuff - so families are welcome. Standard Rooms are pretty big and have two queen beds. So both time it were two of us - but it can be easily 4 persons, especially if it is family with 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast - for additional money is medium, not bad, but in city we had better breakfasts. Bar is nice:) Dinner-never tried. But within 150-300 meters of walk - great restaurants -italian (2) and others. Stuff is very friendly and pleasant. Rooms are clean and not tired. I will definetely return there. Also - we like to walk -it is 20 min walk or 5-7 min drive to La Jolla caves, seals. I did it both times and will do again -love to watch sea lions, seals and birds.

SD has lived in this house for 19 years. The location is good to go out on the 5th highway. There is an In-N-Out nearby and it is two steps away. It is also close to the Garnet Ave business district. The hotel's indoor parking space is relatively limited, and there is no more when you go back late at night. Horton is a very old hotel with a beautiful lobby, elegant blue and white design, and a string of lights on the trees in the yard. Stairs and elevators are old and new, and they are well protected. We booked two nights with two twin rooms with fireplaces, on the second floor, two squatting rooms but the layout was different. The room facilities and services are to be spit. The leaks in the bathtubs of our two rooms have bluish spots. The water in one room sink is only hot and the hot water is very hot. The fireplace in both rooms is not easy to use. One of them is completely can not open. Some of us have a fever, call the front desk 3 times and wait an hour to get a blanket. It is worth mentioning that most of the hotels in the West are very thin, the pillows are very high, and Horton only has blankets. The service staff did not smile and was not enthusiastic, and could not match the services of other hotels in our time. Regarding parking, the hotel does not have free parking and a one-way street. Paid parking is expensive, we parked in a nearby public car park, there are many homes around, we found the cheapest is $15 a day, opposite the cvs pharmacy. Regarding dining, the hotel does not include breakfast, and the breakfast is not cheap. Starbucks is on the corner of the street. It is about 5 minutes drive from the famous cafe 21. You can eat brunch.

We stayed here for 3 nights and really liked the location. Most things were walkable and the trolley was a couple of minutes walk away too. We did have a car and used the Columbia Garage across the road from the hotel which was about half the price of the hotel valet. The room was clean, a little worn in places but everything worked. It was a bit of an odd shape so that made it feel a bit smaller than it probably was. Full housekeeping was on request, but they did towels and trash every day which suited us. The big downside for me is the resort charge, if it's not optional then just include it in the room rate.
