This is a good value 4 stars hotel with friendly front desk staffs. Check-in and check-out was comfortable and easy. Very good location as Tram stop is just right outside the hotel and Tram 10 and 12 directly from airport and can transfer to Zurich HB which was very convenient. Will highly recommend and can come back again.

I have spent 18 days working from JOYN Zurich so think this should be a fairly accurate review of my experience. For context, JOYN is new so may still be working through teething issues, but hopefully this is useful feedback. Pros; - Comfortable, well equipped rooms. I was in one of the largest apartments they offer and it is a good space to spend a lot of time - The kitchenette whilst small is workable and has most of what you'd need - Well located close to the airport and about 25 mins by tram to central Zurich - Nice bathroom and good shower pressure - Gym is good with nice new equipment - Very close to great supermarkets (Coop and Migros next door) - The communal spaces are lovely, including the central courtyard and roof gardens - Strong water pressure from the shower (although the drain didn't seem to be able to cope with the volume of water which meant potential overflowing of the shower unless carefully managed) - The room has a small dishwasher. There were two dishwasher tablets provided and these weren't topped up by the cleaners, meaning you'll need to buy more Unfortunately the cons are pretty significant though, particularly if you want to work from here; Cons - The wifi is atrocious. At best the speeds hover around 1mbps which isn't good enough for stable whatsapp or facetime calls, let alone Teams or Zoom work calls. I thought this may have been my room but is pretty much my experience in all the open spaces including the ground floor communal spaces (see screenshot from Speedtest). This makes it unsuitable for any work. - The cleaning services are a bare minimum. After one week they changed my linen and towels but didn't vacuum, sweep the floor, empty bins or clean the bathroom. After another 7 days they'd hadn't come to clean again and when prompted they said it would be cleaned that day (but it wasn't). On the 8th day I asked and again they promised to have it cleaned. Whilst I wouldn't mind cleaning myself, there is no vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths or anything else in the room to clean with, so unless you want to buy your own, be prepared for it to get pretty dusty and the bathroom to get dirty. Cleaning also didn't include replacing the kitchen towels so you'll have to wash these yourself if you're staying for an extended period. - Other than the supermarkets nearby there is pretty much nothing else around Perhaps they're not used to guests having longer stays, but with cleaning services like this, it will become pretty horrible unless guests buy the cleaning products and do it themselves.

Positivo: Es cerca a estación de fácil acceso del y hacia el aeropuerto y hacia el centro, en 20 minutos. La cama es confortable y la habitación bien insonorizada,. Fuimos en septiembre así que la temperatura no fue un problema. No tan positivo: Apartahotel totalmente impersonal, cero contacto con personal a cargo. No hay maquinas de suministro de bebidas y mucho menos comida y los precios del restaurante del piso 7 son cómo si fueran del centro, aunque el personal es amable. Las cosas que se dañan en las habitaciones no las reponen y esto va afectado el servicio, por ejemplo en la ducha las repisas eran inexistentes por daños anteriores. Hay una AMENAZA de multa de CHF 2.000 por generar vapor o humo que active la alarma de incendios, mejor quiten el microondas. Hay platos y alguna olla pero sin 1 solo cubierto, así que mejor llevarlos. Es un hotel para estadías cortas. La hora de salida, es terrible, a las 10 am.

Amazing service, rooms are great. The service when you get a good waiter that can help translate it’s so helpful. Kevin was very helpful and told us what we needed to do to get a complimentary beverage. The room itself was great we got a double and the rooms are great. They also helped us getting around the area gave us the correct information to get to the designated location.

Opened in May 2015, this guesthouse is located in the northern part of Zurich, a 5-minute walk from the fairgrounds and the indoor stadium. Each room at the Gästehaus Hunziker features free WiFi access, wooden floors, and a private bathroom. From Monday to Friday, breakfast is served in the Restaurant Riedbach on the ground floor. At weekends, breakfast is served at the Restaurant Bagel Boys next door. Rainwater is collected and used for flushing the toilets. I stayed at this hotel for one night for an early departure. It is located in a neat township of Glattbrugg within a seven-minute bus ride from the Zurich airport. Buses circulate every 6 or 7 minutes. My modest investment of € 80 has paid off in spades. The room was big and uncluttered with a super-comfortable bed and a HUGE TV screen with free movies for all tastes. There was a tiny fridge too with free Coke, beer and orange juice. Spacious wardrobe, large work surface and a big bathroom, with this particular shine that comes from highly professional cleaning. Its only downside from my point of view was a smallish bath in the place of a largish shower cubicle that would have been my preference. There is also a gym, a wellness centre and several eateries including a spareribs place but I had no time for exploring those. Within a short walking distance there are several take-aways and a supermarket. I found the price to be quite reasonable for an airport hotel and even affordable. My only doubt was an insecure internet connection that my browser categorically blocked as it posed a threat to the security of my personal data. Chrome had no such qualms though. All in all, to be highly recommended.

Lets begin with the one thing every international traveler staying at an airport hotel needs: power for one's devices. The guest rooms don't have any USB ports. The electrical outlets are the deeply recessed teardrop shape specifically designed to thwart the use of international outlet adaptor kits. The hotel does not have adaptors to lend. The front desk's solution? They have USB ports behind the front desk (then why not in the rooms?) and you can leave your device at the desk to be charged. Clearly, this hotel would prefer that you be Swiss. The WiFi network was completely unsecured and it kept disconnecting. Every 30 seconds or so. Moving on to the room: not very comfortable. The outside temperature was around 78F/25.5C and I had the AC turned up, but I still couldn't wear anything other than my unmentionables until the sun set and the outdoor temperature drpped. There are heavy metal blinds on the windows which can be opened but not raised or lowered. Kind of like the metal grates you see on store windows in dicey neighborhoods in New York. The sheets were thin. On one of the beds, the sheet had several black marks, although it appeared to have been laundered. There was a safe and an electric kettle. In the closet, the panel covering the circuit breaker panel had been removed from (or fallen off?) the wall and was on the floor leaning against the closet wall. Good thing I didn't need to hang anything up. Maybe someone was trying to find a way to plug in their phone. The water pressure in the shower was just barely adequate. Someone had installed the sink faucet handle incorrectly, so you could only turn it to the left. The towels were pretty good, however. The breakfast buffet is 5CHF, but if you want to get breakfast in your room, you will pay an additional 26CHF. I like getting room service for breakfast and I've stayed at many hotels that are much better than this one, but I have never seen a room service charge anywhere in the same galaxy. Even if breakfast costs $25 and there is a $3 charge plus 18% service charge plus you tip 18%, that is still less than half of what the Dorint will charge you to get breakfast brought to you room. I ate at the bar with a group of people and we requested separate checks before we ordered. The food was fine, if pricey. My gin and soda cost 21.5 CHF. Again, I stayed in two other, far better, hotels in the Bernes Alps during the same trip, and I never paid more than 13CHF for the same drink. When it came time to pay, one might have wondered if the server and bartender were solving Fermat's last theorem rather than adding up seven checks for a one course supper. It took as long to pay as it did to eat.

Check-in was S L O W despite being the only one in line smh. Fully paid for the hotel and receptionist lady sighed and said hotel wasn’t paid. Showed her my paid trip.com voucher and she scrambled to find it in the system. Strange lady indeed. Certainly live up to its B U D G E T name by having hotel guests boil their eggs in an ancient looking machine. I suspect this is to prevent hotel guests from consuming any of the hotel eggs. This only implies no scrambled eggs for hotel guests who are craving for it. Limited food selection for breakfast smh. WC light is sensor based. If you’re in it for your big business too long it’ll go dark smh. Something you might want to consider if you’re traveling with younger children or elderly. Separate shower area with see through glass door. Glass door appears tinted but because it is a B U D G E T hotel you can see the silhouette and parts of the body of the person showering smh. Something to consider if you’re traveling with friends. The 2 saving graces are the close proximity to Zurich airport and 2 train station stops away there’s decent halal restaurant and Elif Halal Market you can find there.

Location close to the airport, hotel provides a shuttle that runs about every 20 minutes. Room is fairly standard, with comfortable bed. A big plus is well functioning air conditioning, unlike in most hotels in Switzerland we've been to that can get quite warm and stuffy on warm days. The restaurant serves good and varied food, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Only odd thing was no coffeemaker in the room, just instant coffee and an electric kettle to boil water.

Chosen this hotel as it is near to the airport and they have just resumed the airport shuttle service which is a plus point. However, when I arrive the hotel in the morning after a long 13 hours flight from Singapore, the room was not ready which is kind of understandable. After a long wait until 2pm, my room was not ready yet, and only at 3.30pm I got my room key. To my horror, the room was filthy. It was not cleaned, soiled cups everywhere and the trash bin was not cleared, and chocolate crumbs on my bed. It was disgusting. Immediately I went down to the reception to ask for another room, and instead of higher floor, I was assigned a ground floor. The front desk (I believed she is the supervisor), she was very rude. It is a shame to the Swiss Hospitality. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Apart-Hotel by Hilton is a hotel run and supervised by the Hilton Group. The stay here for you might not earn you Hilton Honors point but trust me you do not pay too much to book the hotel and still enjoy a wonderful stay. The parent Hilton Hotel is just 2 mins walk from Apart-Hotel. The same airport shuttle picks you up from the airport and first drops you at the Apart-Hotel and then the Hilton flagship hotel. The fact that your airport pick-up and drop (at scheduled hours) are free adds up to the benefit of staying here. The property might not have a full-fledged kitchen but it serves hot breakfast every morning. If you chose to dine you are guided to the nearby Hilton Flagship hotel which is an amazing place to be. Overall, my stay here was amazing- no regrets or complaints whatsoever. Reception: Warm & Welcoming Property: Very Nice and soothing Stay: Comfortable for a budget category Sleep Quality: No regrets Surrounding: Peaceful and serene Food & Beverages: Breakfast Good Overall: Very Nice
