The location is very busy so the room is very small. I don't recommend staying for a long time. It's a bit depressing, even though we chose a room with a view and a high floor. The business is so good that we can't check in early and there's no time to clean the room every day. Because it's right opposite the Mannes Conservatory of Music, it's very convenient for music students taking exams. The lobby is very beautiful. I waited there until I went to the airport at night. The front desk staff was very friendly.

Steps or a few blocks from every subway in the city.My building is pre-war, steal frame, quiet, you cannot hear anything. You will sleep and wake up rested.The lobby is from the 1920s, it welcomes you. So many films and TV shows have been shot in this building. Plus many commercials. A few episodes from "friends" was filmed inside my apt, before I moved in. The building has enormous class and it's dynamic. It's like stepping back in time w/ a roaring 20s vibe.The neighborhood, minutes on foot to the famous Ny Highline, Meatpacking district, Chelsea Piers, plethora of rooftops/lounges and restaurants. Oh, and don't forget about all the museums and fancy coffee shops. The infamous Chelsea market is down a few avenues. Union Square up two avenues, farmers market, great shopping and people watching.Hop on the subway, 10 minutes to Broadway or Times Square. Empire State, or Rockefeller Center (my favorite). Subway downtown, to Observatory, Battery Park City, Financial District ... make sure you to to Stone Street for a local beer or a bit to eat. South Street Seaport is finally complete and awe-inspiring.Pay a small fee per person for the day and take the water taxis up or down the west part of Nyc - see the entire city via the water. You can hop on/off all day long. Supermarkets are also divine, from top gourmet to Trader Joes.Just across the city is the East River, magical views of our majestic bridge and walk along the seaport. There is virtually not enough time to see and enjoy everything this magical and historically city has to offer. Of course, please inquire about other things you might like to do and I'll steer the way.We offer free Wifi during your stay!

Send your daughter to school and choose this hotel. The transportation is very convenient, very close to TJMAXX and MASHALLS, you can buy cheap and good quality goods. The hotel has a guest lounge, although no breakfast is available, but there are free coffee, pastries, boiling water and microwaves, as well as free computers and printers. The front desk is very welcoming, and also helps with luggage. It should be said that the price is very high. I will choose it next time.

Overall a very solid hotel with very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. The rooms are decently sized for NYC and well-appointed with the essentials. I was impressed when on at least one evening there was even turndown service. The shower took a minute or so to have a proper water flow, though the pressure was never all that great. I appreciate having the Nespresso machine and pods in the room. I’m always glad to stay at this property especially because I very much like the location, not in the heart of a touristic area but still with many fantastic places to eat, excellent subway connectivity, and convenient shopping for the basics.

The bed was very comfortable, the booking was a wonderful room, a big bed, and the front desk was kind enough to ask if you would have an extra bed. There is a supermarket next to it, you can buy something very late. I received 100 dollars of dollars and returned to it in three days.

The manager was nice, but not around a lot. The maids were nice. There were no paper towels or napkins in the kitchen. The Garden room was roomy and the kitchen was ample, but the patio was trashed out and unusable. The patio needs a good cleaning out. The dining room table was about to fall down and the closet door was broken. Great location and value, but scruffy around the edges. Building is very secure.

Great value for money considering the excellent location of the hotel. I was surprised at how easy it was to get around, a pharmacy with an ATM just on the corner and several restaurant options at good prices. The cleanliness, comfort and service were satisfactory, I have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn't working well. But I need to highlight that the staff was very attentive and kind to us. The benefits of this accommodation far outweighed its negative points.

I continued to work out, and after my workout I went to a Chinese restaurant, Sichuan Bawang, which has been open for 39 years and has never changed its address. Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. The hotel offered free luggage storage, which was great as we arrived around 10 am. The bar closed at 11 inside the hotel & didn't serve food. :( Elevator took a while to get on since there were only 2, and they always seemed busy. It wasn't too noisy - especially for New York. The most important thing to remind you is that the hotel is located in Harlem, which is said to be a black community. You can check the security situation in the area online. I don't mean to discriminate against black people here. But the first night I arrived was around 7pm on the weekend. After getting off the bus, I felt that there were many people around the hotel and it was quite chaotic. The hotel reception was on the 5th floor. After checking the Internet in the room, I felt that I lived in the wrong place. I traveled by UBER in the next few days and didn't dare to take the subway. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. It's just that there are many black people outside the hotel, and beggars occasionally approached me. I didn't encounter any unpleasant things around the hotel.

Booked the W because I’m familiar with the brand and it was a good price for the space! My sister and brother ended up staying with myself and my husband - and everyone had more than enough room. It was perfect location, just steps from Times Square and in the middle of all the NYC sights☺️ Views from the 47th floor were insane- my only recommendation to the hotel would be to wash the windows as they were super smudgy. I was only able to take this attached pic when I opened the window a crack. When we are in NYC again, we’ll book the W without a doubt!

I love Arlo. I stay at Arlo pretty often. But this time was off. I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace.
