The room assigned was on the internal side, unfortunately very noisy and the double glazing does not help eliminate the noise. I asked for a room change but it wasn't possible because it was full but they provided earplugs. Impeccable cleanliness and perfect services.

The location is ok, but there’s no subway stations nearby, so you need to go to Central Terminal Station as the closes place to take it. Or walk, which is in general OK, unless it’s raining, 😁. The room is fantastic, but the general conditions of the hotel let you know that it’s an old one. Also, I was charged extra in the hotel, what I was not made aware of. They give you back part of it as a “credit” to spend in THEIR cafe, which is OK, but I rather spend the money somewhere else, specially because I booked the room without breakfast because I don’t eat too much in the morning and, therefore, it’s a waste of money to pay for it at hotels in a city like NY.

We had not been to New York before this trip but we chose wisely with the San Carlos. The location looked good on the map and that is how it turned out. It was close to the places that we wanted to visit, was handy for the subway, and had close proximity to the facilities that we wanted. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the room that we had was everything that had been outlined in the brochure. The hotel was very neat and impeccably clean. We did not eat at the hotel but the immediate hinterland was well provided with eating places. We would have no hesitation in recommending the San Carlos to anyone visiting New York.

After a long layover followed by a 15 hour flight causing us to come in late, it was a breath of fresh air to have such an amazing front desk staff check us in and give us all to information we needed to successfully make our trip easy. Breakfast was a nice not addition when traveling with family. Beds are so soft and comfortable. I slept like a baby. Very clean and nice facilities right across from LGA.

Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. Hotel location is very good. About 5 minutes walk to Fifth Avenue, turn to Central Park, and the subway station will walk for 5 minutes. This hotel has nice rooms, friendly staff and an excellent location. Unfortunately they are currently renovating the hotel so the lobby, restaurant, bar and sauna are unavailable. As a guest, you must enter through a side entrance and must take 2 separate elevators to reach the room. When booking, no mention was made of the renovation, which meant that the stay did not meet expectations. We paid for a 5 star experience but didn't get it.

The nearby D line 9AV is only 200m away from the hotel, which is super convenient, but the New York subway is indeed well-deserved, the representative of dirty and messy. The hotel was amazing the location was also good. The only thing was I there was no room service with a 22month old rooms service is always a good shout. We required milk for the baby and the receptionist said we don’t do this service. The lifts were very tight and of course busy so with a stroller it was always a hit & miss when you can get into the lift. The cleaniness and staff were very pleasant and professional. I would recommend this hotel to other visitors and will stay here again.

The front desk service attitude is good. The guy at the door is enthusiastic and proactive. The location is good. The Metropolitan Museum is across Central Park. It takes 40 minutes to walk to Times Square and a few minutes to walk to the subway station. There is a gas stove in the room, but no kitchenware. You have to prepare your own food. The most important thing to remind you is that the hotel is located in Harlem, which is said to be a black community. You can check the security situation in the area online. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. I love Arlo. I stay at Arlo pretty often. But this time was off. I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace.
