Hotels near Mountain High, Wrightwood

The location of the hotel is on the boulevard of the town, easy to find and convenient! Clean environment, but maybe due to the seasonal reasons of the guests, the quilt is made of very cheap nylon and has serious static electricity. It is recommended that the owner replace the cotton quilt with a new one. I will visit again in the future.

This older property is literally off of one of the busiest highways in California; traffic fatigue (our reason for stopping) and its proximity to Mountain High, etc. means that it is probably always full--would recommend a reservation. Room was very clean; nothing fancy, nothing more expected. Front desk staff very courteous and professional at check-in and check-out. Next to a gas station and close to a couple of fast food eateries. Two negatives for this place: 1) NO noise attenuation. Besides the traffic noise, you hear everything as people are moving in/out/about--it's like you're in a Foley studio. 2) If you're traveling with dogs, be aware that unpaved areas are covered with goat's head burrs. Be sure to check their paws and your shoes before entering the room or you will spend the next 30 minutes trying to find those burrs on the carpet. If you travel with good earplugs and garden gloves, and just need a place to crash on your SoCal travels, this place will suffice.

I gotta say for someone doesn't do reviews I would rate this a 10/10. Been the best customer service I have had in a long time. All the staff are great. Friendly and attentive to your needs. The parking lot is clean and safe. I like I can just go to my car safely. The front desk is great. I haven't seen customer service like this in long time. They take there time to accommodate you. Now Housekeeping is wonderful especially my liking. My family and I feel clean and comfortable here. My overall experience has been relaxing. They do a great job keeping this place AWESOME!! On the highway, it is very easy to find, comes with a canteen, surrounded by fast food restaurants, gas stations. The variety of breakfast is not too much, but it guarantees nutrition and is full. The room is poorly soundproofed, and you can hear all kinds of voices, close the door, and sleep well.

Wow....what a horrible night. Before I begin, this hotel is not up to Courtyard standards. It's not up to Fairfield Inn standards. It's more like Ramada Inn standards. Out of the control of the hotel....There was a helicopter circling for one hour obviously looking for someone close to the hotel. No one knew what was going on. Second event...at 12:30 am, a fight between several people happened outside our door. We had 3 choices...call the front desk (a young person who could really do nothing) , call the police, or just wait until it was over. We waited and in a half hour it was over. We made sure that where we were in the room, a bullet could not get us if it came down to that. What the hotel can control....this place is just too tired to be called a Courtyard. I'm surprised that Marriott still operates this place. Bed lumpy. Linens too small as I had to keep putting the fitted sheet back on the bed. Towers that were so bare they represented a hankie instead of a towel. Clogged bath sink. Shower curtain too short representing water all over the bath. The TV is so small it resembled by computer monitor. The smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The heater so loud that we had to turn it off to sleep. Avoid this place if at all possible. In fact, avoid Victorville if at all possible. A property like this makes me lose faith in other travelers who ranked it high.

Convenient transportation, very close to Mountain High, 30 minutes by car, free parking. The restaurant around the hotel is very good and can be reached on foot, and the hotel also has breakfast. The hotel should be renovated in recent years, the facilities are very new, the room layout is very reasonable, and the bedding is very comfortable. The front desk is very warm and professional. In short, I like it very much, and it is worth the money.
