It’s been four years since we last stayed , due to covid etc. This must have been our fifth or sixth stay and it was great to see (and be remembered by some of the team, Gemma, Xzavi, Luis). We stay here because of the location , just 7mins to the airport, and a pleasant 10 min walk or so into central Malaga. On this occasion we had a mid evening arrival so I emailed for a restaurant reservation . In our room was a lovely chilled bottle of cava and a cake as it was my birthday. A lovely touch. Nacho on reception was delightfully cheerful and welcoming. We had a great room on the 6th floor. Comfortable and clean, it does however get hot, and if you leave the window open you can hear the street noise (not a problem). My only suggestion for the room would be a mirror in the main room and slightly more lights. There is a fridge which we used for some food purchases. You can take drinks upstairs and they are cheap, we always use the bar, you can talk to the team and learn great facts about the area. (Without Luis’ s tips a few years back our trip to Granada wouldn’t have been as good). The food in the restaurant was good and well priced , the restaurant is now on the ground floor a change since our last trip. Don’t forget a trip on the slide , a Must in this hotel!! There are lots of local bars and restaurants nearby , we will be back. Thanks to everyone for another great trip.

We chose this hotel primarily because of its location. It is a short walk to the train station with its link from airport and only a little further to the bus station where we took a coach to Granada the next morning. I normally ask for a high floor room when I check in and the English speaking receptionist was able to allocate us a room on the top floor which I was extremely happy with. The window opened fully and I was able to spend some time “people watching” and enjoying the view across fountains towards the railway station beyond. With the window closed the double glazing provided a very quiet night, much better than I expected in a city centre location. The biggest surprise was the quality of the breakfast the following morning which was fantastic value at only €5 each. Not only was there the usual Continental style hams, cheeses, breads and fruits available but there was a hot selection of scrambled egg and bacon.

We chose to stay here due to its proximity to the main train station which is adjacent to the hotel as we were heading home in the morning. It is a perfect spot for such an overnight stay. It is quite a bustling area which is about 30 minutes or so walk to the old town if you were using it as a base for a city visit. It’s not the most attractive looking or welcoming hotel from the outside but it had all the facilities we needed for our one night stay. The bed was very large and comfortable and the room furnished well enough in a very Nordic minimalist style. The chairs weren’t easy to relax in and you were obliged almost to use the bed instead - a comfortable armchair would have been helpful. The room was bright and had all the facilities required. Breakfast in the morning was taken early in the large dining area and the food was fresh and plentiful. Unusually there were no English speaking tv channels available. You are only a couple of minutes from the main train station which is housed in a nice shopping complex. We ate in a very nice Korean restaurant across from the hotel called Chingu which was excellent.

good sound proofing, lightproof window blinds, compact room equipment. just a short walk from train station, check-in was quick and efficient. will definitely stay again. lack of cloths hangers ( just 2) and an unfortunate placing of hooks just 50cm from floor to hang your shopping bags of something, you see that ppl desperately looked for additional hooks and took out those decorative metal plates. but its something that eventually will get fixed after time.

We loved this hotel. It has an elevator (lift) Our room was spacious, very clean and the beds were comfy and made up daily. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast was included for us at Hotel Don Paco, about 2 blocks away. The breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs, bacon, mini croissants and bread, cereal, fruit, coffee and several juices. The hotel is just a short walk from the Maria Zambrano train station, perhaps 15 minutes. We also found several tapas bars a couple blocks away, plus an ATM 4 blocks. HINT: We found it hard to flag down taxis in the vicinity of Hotel Zeus. The best way we found was to walk to the train station, where there is always a taxi waiting!

First of all, do n’t be fooled by the apartment in the Chinese name. This is actually a hotel. If you plan to cook your own meals, do n’t choose this one. The hotel is in a good location. It ’s almost 15 minutes walking to the British Palace and the old town. Five Euros a day, not too expensive in the surrounding area; the rooms are larger than the average hotel room, the mattresses and bedding are of good quality, and they are comfortable to live in; the hotel is very good value for money, and I will choose this again when I go to Malaga.

We stayed for 3 nights and only wish it had been longer. Lovely room (126) with a huge very comfortable bed and super-clean bathroom. Good location for the city itself, and near to Alameda Centro Station for the frequent and inexpensive trains to the coast as far as Fuengirola. One of the highlights was a visit to the Museum of Automobiles and Fashion. It was my birthday on our 2nd day, and when we got back from our day out I found a slice of cake and a message of good wishes. That made my day! We hope to return to this quirky and welcoming Hotel again soon. By the way in case you are wondering, my wife wrote this because it was her birthday!

The hotel is excellent for this price and class. Sufficiently spacious room (510). With air conditioning, which was also working in April (we are doing so again) and free WiFi. The rooms are very clean. Good, very wide beds. A spacious inlet shower (specially when booking is requested; the whole of the rooms has a bathtub to shower). From the train from the airport it is 50m walk to the hotel. Very handy! The breakfast is a wide choice and is until 10:30 pm. Not quick, so there is only one coffee machine. That's too little. The hotel is located on the edge of the historical center. In 10 minutes walking you are at the cathedral.

The apartment is well located to the old town and sites, with a 20 minute walk to the harbour. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets in close proximity. The apartment was clean and well laid out, with a comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with rain shower and new finishes. The kitchen is well equipped. The communication and assistance from Coeo is exceptional, quick and very helpful. You can also leave your luggage with them before and after checkout. Would definitely recommend staying here! Only con is that more comfortable pillows are needed.

We ended having our flights cancelled suddenly and had to quickly at 3pm find somewhere to stay . This was available and was read well and 15 mins into the centre from the airport. It was right in the middle in between the shops on 6 floors and nice and modern, greeted by friendly staff. We had a nice room , which despite requesting a double found we had a twin but as we were only there overnight , decided to stay put. Nice black and white decor with a small but nice bathroom with good accessories and good air conditioning. Have had a stroll outside, owing to the frustrating day we’d had we headed to the 5th floor to the rooftop terrace. Scaring the bar staff as we arrived bang on 5pm with no sign of anyone and were trying see if it was open when they appeared not expecting anyone to be up there. It’s a lovely place to see the city overlooking the cathedral ( merrily ring out the bells ) and served lovely cocktails and snacks to keep us going. Surrounded by loads of bars and restaurants ,you don’t have to go far to find somewhere and later on Malaga comes to life and is thriving and lively. We will come back and stay longer next time.

So the good bits first .. Location - edge of town, so cheaper than the centre for everything but also convenient as only 5mins to the tourist part. Staff- Very friendly and helpful Breakfast - we didn’t book but it looked reasonable Improvements needed.. 1) This is not my idea of boutique there are at least 4 floors and over 100 rooms 2) The balcony is Juliette so no room for sitting but you could see the castle, mountains and Cathederal from ours 3) this is not set up for long stays , as you’ll see from the picture I mainly had to live out of my suitcase - no storage for clothes ( I saw previous complaints so did take a few hangers but hadn’t quite factored in NO drawers at all and just a suit hanger thing) 4) no bin in the room 5) most importantly for those with mobility issues ( I cannot do stairs easily due to prosthetics) not all rooms are accessible by lift - this is not shown or explained on the website . I attach a picture of the stairs to access the front rooms. In my opinion this is a great ‘weekend’ or ‘business trip’ hotel but it still has a lot of improvements needed to make it Boutique and good for holiday makers. TOP TIP- visit the ‘authentic Sherry Bar ‘ just round from the hotel - an experience not advertised anywhere but not to be missed !

It is a good stay for a solo trip. The location is perfect, close to travel destinations, and the room is spacious, very clean, and bright. There is a bakery on the ground floor where the bread is tasty, but the swimming was not open in April during my stay, anyway I am very satisfied with this booking.

First the good parts: - Staff is friendly and helps within the limits of their possibilities - Beds are comfortable - Was given a new room when I had concerns about another guest coughing a lot - location Now the bad stuff: - lockers are too small for most people's bags, which are then placed between the beds. I could fit my backpack only because I can dismantle it - curtains only cover half of the frontside of the bed in some rooms - and even if the whole front is covered at the back there is plenty of room for light to come in - the bed construction is not sturdy enough. If the other person moves, the whole bed is rocking - showers and bathrooms aren't clean. I've seen worse, but also way better. - This seems to be hostel for party crowds. Don't go there if you plan not-party-based vacationing or actually want to sleep at night and not during the day, which many people seem to do - people in the hallway and on the street might as well shout in the room. There seems to be no sound isolation. - when staff was alerted (by multiple people according to their own account) that there was a person who seemed infected they didnt seem to talk to that person and ask for a quick test or that he sleep with a mask. Instead they moved me to a different room upon request and presumably filled the room with someone else since they were fully booked. All in all this was by far the worst two nights during my vacation. It was IMMENSELY OVERPRICED considering what the hostel has to offer. I would NEVER come back and not recommend this to anyone. I even considered moving out early, but I couldn't get a connecting train that would fit my schedule.

A very good, super central hotel which sits facing onto the entrance to the main street into the old city and behind is the port area. Perfect. My room with a tremendous view had a balcony (which I wasn't expecting) but no chairs. It was on the twelfth floor so you do need a head for heights. Sumptuous bed, beautiful toiletries in large canisters, mini bar with reasonable prices, efficient air con. The pool lounging area on floor 7 is very compact so if a good size roof terrace is high on your agenda then there are better options. The bar area is pleasant though as are the staff. A nice place to start your evening. Breakfast buffet has fruit, lots of pastries, cold cuts, hot dishes, breads, salads etc. Help yourself coffee machine. Nicely positioned and elegant furnishings. All the staff were very good but I do have to mention Yolanda who was extremely kind and helpful. There is usually one in most establishments and imo Yolanda is the Soho's. I'm sure there are others though. The only reason that I have not awarded top marks is that some amenities were missing that you would expect in a four star. For example, tissues, shower cap are the norm. Vanity and sewing kits I can manage without. Additionally, the pool area is compact. I would suggest removing the pool and increasing lounging area. I booked through easyJet and believe that the price was good value for my three nights.

We stayed in 4 rooms as a group of 8 friends doing a speedy mini break in Malaga. The standard rooms were set up as twins as we requested and we all very keen and really well appointed. Great water pressure in the shower! All of the front desk staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel is so well positioned for a malaga city break just steps from the Cathedral. We had lunch at Matiz which was tasty and even after a miscommunication due to a translation issue they were quick to correct the problem. breakfast was included and was simple and what you would expect - it would be nice to be offered the hotter options as we didn’t realise we could get those until after we had finished our last breakfast!. Our only real disappointment was on our last evening when we were going out for a special meal and wanted to have a cocktail on the roof top bar. We had left 45 minutes but the waiter (v curly hair) wouldn’t serve us at the bar and insisted he would come to take our order - despite telling us on 2 occasion he would just be 2 or 3 minutes (and serving others arriving after us) , it was 20 minutes later and we still hadn’t had a drink so left to go to our dinner reservation which we would otherwise be late for and had a cocktail there instead. It seemed a really disappointing thing to happen and left us very disappointed given the standard of all the other staff and service at the hotel otherwise. We would defiantly return but perhaps steer clear of the rook top bar.

Ease of check in left our bags at 11.00 as we couldn't get until 4.00 the concierge peaks very good English said he would phone when room was ready. Had a few ours sight seeing and shopping. The room was Fabulous we paid extra to have the roof terrace well worth it, we sat outside watching the world go by while having a few drinks. In the room was a list of restaurants listed by what they offered and price. While we were there we tried three of the restaurants amazing and a local bar. Plenty of hot water nice fluffy towels they do not change towels or sheets unless you ask and there is a charge, not sure if its different if you stay a week The one thing that stops it having 5* is you have to take your rubbish outside to the nearest public bin and hope its not full as we found on our last morning and my husband had to go to the next street to find a bin not good at 8.00am.

Perfectly situated and only a short walk to the city’s historic centre. All staff are very welcoming, kind and helpful. The Teatro de Cervantes is just a 150 meters down the Road where we experienced a performance by the Malaga Philamonic Orchestra and 80plus persons choir. Amazing! Spent 4 nights here and were very pleased with the hotel. It’s a short walk to the train station, the old town and the shopping centre. We had a late flight and when I contacted the hotel, there was no problem with a late check-in. Room had a king size double bed, bed settee and kitchenette. The fridge contained complimentary water and there was a tea and coffee making facility. Bathroom was excellent; both a bath and a huge walk-in shower. Separate toilet, which is very useful. Despite the hotel being right in the town, soundproofing was excellent m, so we were not disturbed, despite the Holy Week processions. My only gripe is there were lots of shelves, but only one drawer. I don’t like my undies being on display, so removed the hair drier from the drawer so that husband and I could share the space. Also only 3 hangers and no hooks for coats etc. Please supply more hangers!!!!! We didn’t eat in the hotel, as there are so many places nearby. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Would definitely return.

stayed for 5 days, cant beat the location. walkable to every point of interest in the historic center. The hotel is designed like a ship so it feels kind of tight inside the hallways and elevator is tiny. Nevertheless, the room design was modern, comfortable and ecofriendly. Cleaning staff does an excellent job. Amazing view from rooftop and food at the restaurant up there was good. NOTE for business travels, or anyone needing to use wifi. Their WIFI is NOT GOOD, it did not work in our room unless we stood close to the door our outside in the wall and common areas. Not helpful when you need to work or use your phone in the privacy of your room. We spoke to staff about it and they were not much help, it is what it is. They say 'you can use the internet in the common area' Okay.. Breakfast buffet is expensive so not really worth it. Doorman will continually ask you if you're staying there, even after seeing you every day lol- guess that's their job. ALSO not friendly for anyone with disabilities or mobility issues, there's no ramp at the front, you have to lift your luggage up the steps. meh

I enjoy most of the facilities of Futurotel and am Hugely impressed at the Hard Work of the ' Small' staff team of dedicated people Recently I heard that 3 staff members were summarily dismissed by the Cash oriented conscienceless Owners/ Management . I understand the Reception team have joined the Union to support their very clear case for Employees terms and conditions and fare pay. I wish them every success because it's the Reception/Housekeeping team that makes the Futurotel a success. I URGE any Clients/Guests to consider this and Question the Punitive activities of the owner against this hard working Hotel Family. You have my Love, Support and understanding.~ Stephany, Maria , Celia, Javi, Luis, Antonio..etc~ Silvia,Myerlin, Maria ( unfairly sacked staff ) . John Daniel The owner/management have only a greedy exploitative tactic, NO Vision and no care or concern for their staff. John Daniel.

This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

We stayed at Hotel California for four nights during a trip to Malaga and we found it to be absolutely perfect. Location is excellent. A 20 or so minute walk to the old town but only a block away from the beach and from where you can stroll to the port area and it's numerous restaurants. The hotel has a really nice family feel. The staff on reception were very welcoming and everybody that served us at breakfast was really lovely. Indeed the breakfast is a real highlight. Croissants, bread, yoghurt, cheese, juice, coffee and homemade cake all served to your table in a really lovely little breakfast room. It was something to look forward to every morning...! The rooms are basic but absolutely fine and very comfortable. To be honest we were barely in it other than to sleep and we found we were able to do that really well. There is a little traffic noise at the front of the building as it is on a relatively busy road but we didn't find it to disturb us. Overall, we thought it was a real gem and great value for money. We hope to return to Malaga and if we do, we will definitely stay at Hotel California.

The service at this hotel was outstanding, I was really made to feel special. The building is beautiful, especially the marble staircase and terrace overlooking the sea. My room was very tastefully and luxuriously decorated, it didn’t have a view, but the price was commensurate for that. Overall the hotel gives an experience of mid tier luxury (not very very top level ala Bulgari hotel, but definitely premium). My biggest complaint is with regards to the gym and spa. The gym is ok, if small, has a squat rack which is great. But there is no locker room or changing area next to it! Any other five star hotel I’ve been to would have a luxurious locker room with a sauna and hot tub etc. Here there wasn’t even a place to change! I had to go back to my room and change into my gym gear the first time I went. Then there is the ‘spa’. Some hot tubs, relaxation areas and a sauna. Very nice, but a €25 EXTRA for guests!! What kind of a luxury hotel charges extra for use of the sauna?! Aside from this, I very much enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay here again.

Hotel location is very good, out of the hotel door is a variety of bus stations, you can go directly to the long-distance bus station, very convenient! The hotel is on a bustling shopping street, and many big-name specialty stores are around! From here, walk to the beach and pier and the birthplace of Picasso is very close! The building where the hotel is located is very luxurious, not like a hotel, just like a LV shop! There are three people, they are very comfortable to sleep, and there are hair dryers, except for slippers, so you don’t have to bring these with you! The front desk of the hotel is a gentleman of his father's age. It is especially graceful and English is also very good! Staying here is convenient, comfortable, and the family is enough, as long as you don't expect to be the kind of five-star luxury hotel, the price is very high! Share a photo of the pier!

We stayed at the hotel for a week at the start of August 2022. On arrival we were a little early but this was no issue and our room was ready and the reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and neat as i would expect. We had a really good view over the town across the dry overflow to the Old town. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the old town center and around 15 minute walk to the beach all very flat no hills so very pleasant. Another huge benefit is the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the central rail station and very easy to get to from the airport with a single adult fare on the train at only £2. Train is 20 mins to Torromelinos and 30 mins to Benalmedina and cheap again adult return £3.5 and £5 respectively, very quick and easy, but remember you still need a face mask on the trains!!!. Nothing bad to say about the hotel we had a fantastic week and a lovely stay. We will certainly return.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Malaga, surrounded by a highway network, about 10 minutes drive into the city center. Free parking at the door is sufficient. The hotel is an old castle shape, lobby, rooms, dining are not bad. The downside is that the room is poorly soundproofed and individual guests are a bit noisy.
