The room is not soundproof, and you can even feel the trembling of walking in other rooms. The most unbearable thing is the irresponsible reception at the front desk. I am asking for urging every day, but until I left the hotel, I did not issue a proof of accommodation for 5 days. The towels in the room are old and yellowed, and the cleaning supplies are relatively poor. The only thing that can be affirmed is that the cleaning staff is still responsible. There is courtesy table in a room somewhere in hotel that does tea I believe but I do prefer to have this facility in my room No mirror by plug sockets made it difficult to do hair Also as this was my 50th birthday gift from my mum we had notified hotel. They promised a complimentary gift on arrival which did not happen. My mum did try to order champagne and was told that they didn’t put complimentary in room as my bd was a week after we depart!!!! It’s my big 50 which I was celebrating with my mum. I found this quite rude. My mum was willing to pay but they didn’t offer anything We also tried to book a massage which they advertise hugely in hotel and it’s run from same building, however we did not get a reply from the message we sent!

Plus - breakfasts are on, and very delicious )) the only moment - not all channels on TV worked, so to see something standing is unlikely to work. В номерах система вентиляции работает прекрасно, как на охлаждение, так и на подогрев, практически не шумит. Окно открыть не хочется. В номере есть все, что нужно, кроме зубных щеток. Но уверена, это решаемо. Есть нюанс с подачей воды в душе: независимо от выбранного вами режима вода постоянно меняется от прохладной до горячей. И так по круг в течение 15-30 секунд. Однозначно будем останавливаться, приезжая в Питер по делам.

На этаже куллер с водой, чай, кофе. Нам номер достался небольшой, но всё необходимое имеется. Персонал приветлив, на вопросы ответят, помогут, подскажут. У нас в стоимость номера был включен завтрак. Выбор блюд не большой, но голодным точно не останешься. Остановки общественного транспорта рядом. Мы были на автомобиле. Как таковой стоянки нет, но нам предложили оставить авто во дворе дома, где располагается отель. Единственное, что испортило хорошее впечатление. Окна номера выходили во двор. Отель, вероятно, был реконструирован из одного подъезда жилого дома. А дома в Питере, как правило, ”колодезного” типа. В 4.30 кто-то устроил во дворе пьяные разборки с криками и битьём бутылок, в 5 утра дворник громыхал телегой, а кто-то решил еще и погазовать, заведя машину. В общем, толком не выспались.

|1.53km from city centerWriting a review of Radisson Sonya's cosy small room is like writing a review of a mediocre flim with great actors. ”They are doing their best with the material they were given.” Radisson Sonya is reasonably centrally located. That's a plus. It has a very nice restaurant, Metamorphos, and offers wonderful breakfasts with large selections of all kinds of foods. That's another plus. Radisson Sonya is built along the lines of Marriott Marquee in Times Square in that it is a hollow rectangle with rooms along the perimeter. However, where the Marriott has a lobby and doors facing it in the hollowed-out center, the Radisson has a breakfast restaurant with rooms facing it. So it would make sense to ask for rooms overlooking the street and not the ”inner courtyard.” The rooms are decently appointed, but more on that and in detail a bit later; bathrooms have good quality toiletries. Soundproofing is great making for a good night's sleep. The hotel is named after Sonya Marmeladova, apparently, and every room's number is accompanied by a quote from ”Crime and Punishment.” That's just sweet. The floors in the rooms are tiled, and I really liked that. Much cleaner that the ubiquitous carpeting. Slippers are provided. I stayed at what is termed a ”cosy small room,” and I can only speak for this type of room. I have no problem at all with ”small,” in fact, I love small cosy spaces. My problem is with the rest of the room. It did not have clothes spaces with doors. No closet, no armoire. Just a niche probably a foot and a half wide that your outer garments share with the ironing board. And I don't care about the board either, I just want a door there! Worse still, there was not a single drawer in the entire room (if you don't count a safe as such). Drawers are important. Drawers give people a feeling of privacy, illusory though it may be. A drawer draws a line (pun not intended) telling people coming into the room ”This is where privacy starts.” And I suspect that the hotel's staff may not be too eager to see their customers' underwear and other similarly personal items. If space is a concern, well, they did put in a desk. Let at least the desk have one single drawer! No, no such luck! So, my slushy suitcase (no luggage rack either, and St. Petersburg in winter can be horribly slushy and you will be dragging filth everywhere) went on top of the white desk (where else?), and served as my dresser for the duration of my stay. What is great about Radisson Sonya, though, is its staff. Personnel at reception was very friendly and attentive. In a slushy winter, it's really easy to see if housekeeping does a proper job, and they did. Both at breakfast and at a la carte dining, they are courteous, attentive, and prompt. So basically, I would say the good outweighs the problematic areas. Yet, caveat emptor.

With the leadership it never turned out to meet, when we left the hotel we met the head of the reception and accommodation service, which tried to explain all these points, but it was absolutely useless, not even apologized or farewell. Но даже у входа встречаешься с отвратительным сервисом: например худощавый молодой человек с русыми волосами, который стоит на входе и смотрит в стену. В прошлый мой заезд было негодование, что этот «мужчина» мне отказал в помощи поднять чемодан, хотя я была после операции - на ресепшн на возмущение просто промолчали и сказали, это не хостес, это охранник. Тогда почему охранник смотрит не на входную группу, а в стену, не замечая ничего вокруг? Очень жаль что вы ставите на вход таких странных «мужчин», которые чемодан то не могут помочь поднять. Gold статус по сути дает только скидку постоянного гостя. В табличке статусов на сайте: ранний заезд, поздний выезд - всегда недоступно. Опция «подготовка ко сну» отсутствует. Постелить коврик у кровати и закрыть шторы тут не в силах. Сегодня в моей просьбе выехать на полчаса позже было отказано. В итоге мне все равно пришлось собирать вещи и выехала я в 12:30, мне начали звонить в номер с просьбой освободить номер. ЗАВТРАКИ НА 2 этаже - ОЦЕНКА 2. Раньше никогда их не брали, так как привыкли завтракать в других ресторанчиках, которых в Питере очень много. Но в этот раз, новогодние праздники и решила что будет приятно позавтракать в отеле. На 3й день пребывания заметила, что тарелки грязные (показала это коллегам вашим в зале), все тарелки заляпаны пальцами и есть сухие остатки еды - считаю ЭТО НЕДОПУСТИМО. Видимо посуду моют вручную и делают это очень плохо. Также чашки выносят в зал не на подносе, а в руках…так, что последняя чашка стоит на руке и потом люди пьют из них, прикасаясь губами. Обратите на это внимание, для этого есть правила и нормы. После этого сложно представить что происходит на кухне в приготовлении еды и подготовке продуктов … БУДЬТЕ ОСТОРОЖНЫ, завтракать тут небезопасно для здоровья. На мою просьбу вернуть оплату за завтраки за 4 дня проживания было отказано, сославшись, что это бонус, хотя я явно выбирала тариф с завтраками. Так себе Бонус, да еще за который ты оплатил. ФИТНЕС ЗАЛ - ОЦЕНКА 2, ГРЯЗНО. За 6 дней ни разу не было влажной уборки. Песок и грязь на подножках эллипса был все дни. Зубочистки на полу как валялись, так все дни и пролежали. Полотенца были только пару раз. Воды без газа почти никогда не было. Антисептик отсутствовал все дни. Беговая дорожка в центре не работает, ошибка - таблички нет. УБОРКА В НОМЕРЕ: в какой-то из дней я уехала в 18 и написала в чат просьбу убрать в номере (забрать мусор, поставить воду, заполнить капсулы кофейные).
