Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato
Fujikawaguchiko | 0.7km from Lake Kawaguchiko
This is a decently nice, large ryokan-style hotel but it feels a bit old and shabby like a pre-bubble hotel which is past its glory days. The location was a lot more isolated than we were expecting, you really should have a car if you stay here as there is little in the immediate area and it's a decently long walk to the rest of town. I strongly disagree with the ”good for walkers” walkability rating that Tripadvisor gives it. The car does offer a free shuttle four times a day to Kawaguchiko station though which is nice. The rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) were ryokan style with tatami and futons. Both me and my companion found the futons very difficult to sleep in. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of my nights and woke up sore even after requesting an extra futon for support. The public onsen on the fourth floor was very nice and in my opinion quite large. Lastly, the WiFi ranged from terrible to passable. It would vary a bit from hour to hour but was often nearly unusable. This is not a ”bad” hotel by any means, just know what you're getting into. This place probably was more impressive back in the day but today feels slightly run down and not very modern.

Akaishi Ryokan
Fujikawaguchiko | 0.71km from Lake Kawaguchiko
By the lake, the old house was rebuilt in a homestay. There is a hot spring bath on the first floor, which can accommodate about 3 people at the same time.
Uncle speaks a little English and will take you into the room to introduce various facilities.
It is a public restroom, tatami room, the TV is too small, it takes about ten minutes to walk to the meal and supermarket, but there are street lights to go.

Cottage Tozawa Center
Fujikawaguchiko | 0.85km from Lake Kawaguchiko
Cottage Tozawa Center is located marvelously right opposite Mount Fuji. Cottage Tozawa Center is somewhere in between Kawaguchiko town center and Oishi town centre. Best location because we could see all the fireworks in the living room. The unit E1 has the best view, I think. One can sit in the living room or bedroom or balcony comfortably to admire Mount Fuji.
It would be more convenient for tourists who drive. No meals provided. Have to prepare futon by yourself. May rent a place for camping, which would be quite a unique experience during both winter and summer.
It's a hidden gem because it is lesser known among international tourists.

Only managed to book 1 out of 2 nights of our stay in the Superior Room and had to book the 2nd night via Japanican (standard room). Both rooms were amazing in terms of size. Superior room’s amenities and furnishings, bathtub etc are more luxurious in comparison but Standard Room is really good enough when you enter to a full view of Mt Fuji at the windows. My view fm the Standard Room was much better compared to the Superior though. Only con at the Standard Room is probably the inability to go out to a balcony to take photos and had to deal with reflections. Hospitality at the front desk was largely good, except a harsh-sounding man whom attended to our bus pickup call request and another night-duty man who can’t speak English and only repeatedly uttered “sorry” and “nonono” when I called to ask for a pillow they missed out. Special mention and thanks to 2 ladies whom attended to us: 1. “AHN” or “ANH” who helped us with check-in to the room, and continued to serve us with helpful suggestions and the sincerest greetings whenever we bump into her in the ryokan. 2. We didn’t get her name. The lady who served us for dinners (16 & 17 Dec) and breakfast (17 Dec) at Room 桃の二. Really patient and tried her best to communicate with us in English for all our requests and questions about the food. For non-adventurous-foodies like us, the provided breakfasts and dinners are a great experience and an eye-opener, but also wasteful on the other hand as we ended up with much things we don’t eat (even after I’ve put in a string of dietary requests prior to check-in). Perhaps having a room-only option for booking would be good.

The service was excellent from the moment we arrived to our complimentary shuttle service back to the nearby train station. Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff did their best to accommodate our minimal japanese. The scheduled meals were fresh and delicious. If you have tattoos you cannot use the public baths but they do have a private bath you can schedule for 30 minute slots. My partner and I had a fulfilling traditional ryokan experience here!

Komaya Ryokan
Fujikawaguchiko | 1.02km from Lake Kawaguchiko
We were highly recommended by friends, and booked three months before check-in, because it was the Spring Festival, there was only one room left at that time, and of course booked. A family of four stayed for breakfast and dinner at a tax of 38,000 yen. We rent a car from Tokyo. Because it departs at 10am, we want to say that we can't check in too early, so we drive to the Royal Palace Outlet first on the way, because the outlet is too big, we only go halfway around and don't want to go in the dark. When I was on the middle of the road, I had snowed in my life. I still met the big one at the hotel. Fortunately, there were snow tires on the road, and I opened slowly. Finally, it was safe to get to the destination. I didn't have long to settle the luggage, and I had dinner. The meal was exquisite, the barbecue, the sashimi, and the fried shrimp tasted good. Its bathroom has a hot spring, one hour, and the time to enter. The bedroom is quite big, you have to plan your bed, and the comfort is OK. It is still good to sleep in the snow overnight. Because it is snowing the next day, I didn't go to the cable car, the boat, and the Fuji is not meeting. So I have the motivation to come back next time. The accent of this night's stay is all Taiwanese, and it may be the first choice for Taiwanese travelers.

Great stay. Bakery up front was so delicious and service was always amazing. Very homely feel, they even helped us book a taxi. The only thing is the Wi-Fi did not reach our room in certain locations; other than that it was a must stay. We will definitely come back.

Village Sun Lake Kawaguchiko
Fujikawaguchiko | 1.09km from Lake Kawaguchiko
The hotel is old and the seat is a distance from the Kawaguchiko Station. I use it to walk for about 20 minutes, but I can go to the Kawaguchiko Lake as soon as I come out. The seat is good.
We stayed here for a family trip with our children, who are now adults and live in different places. We were searching for accommodations on a hotel website with the aim of relaxing in the hotel and watching Mt. Fuji, and when we happened to come across KUKUNA, which had a cancellation, we immediately made a reservation. ・Has an open-air bath ・A direct view of Mt. Fuji ・Has a balcony ・Proper dinner ・Breakfast is a buffet ・Has a private bath ・A clean hotel ・Attentive service from the staff We were looking for various things, and this hotel surprisingly met all of them. Not only did we meet our search criteria, but our impressions of the stay also included the cleanliness, comfort, service, and food. As soon as we arrived, the staff who came to pick us up from the car made us think, ”I'm glad I chose this place,” and that feeling continued until we checked out. At the front desk, in the restaurant, and in various other scenes, the staff's polite service, which conveyed their feelings, made me think that it felt like a fresh version of the Ritz-Carlton, and when I heard that the owner had worked at the Ritz-Carlton in Hawaii, I understood. We had a really good time. Thank you for kindly accepting our request for a surprise birthday cake for the children.

Convenient transportation, parking lot is big enough, but the place to checkin is on the Hunan shore of the estuary. The hotel is on the north bank of the estuary lake. It is a little inconvenient, and you should pay attention to it. The checkin time is until 8 o'clock in the evening. The house is a bit musty. The room is large. The price is not too expensive by the estuary lake. There are four bicycles for free use, and Mount Fuji and fireworks can be seen in the room, but the equipment is not clean (with more dust), the next day the heating failure, and snow, but because no one can contact before 9 am, a little not so convenient.
Check-in 1500 No elevator 15 minutes walking from Kawaguchiko station No pick up service (but I saw the car, you can ask them) No rental bicycle service is available here. Public bath only No ensuite washroom in each room No room has even toilet in it Public Bath time = 1800-2200 2nd floor - Men ground floor - women If you want to have breakfast here, you have to add breakfast when you book. ( i booked through AGODA) I couldn't top up upon check-in but there is a convenience store just next to the inn (Familymart) Hot water and microwave are available next to reception. Coffee (machine) is available for just 100 yen. When I asked, the machine wasn't switched on yet. If you want to sip the coffee in the early morning, you may want to ask the owner the previous day so they can prepare accordingly. You can try a massage chair as well, it works when you put coins. No amenities at all except linen for futon. Bring your towel or you can rent it for 200 yen Buy toothbrush for 200 yen You can buy soft drinks and canned beer including bottled coke. Wi-fi is ok It is kinda 24 hours entrance, although there is no one sitting at reception all the time. Although it is 15 minutes walking from the station, there is Familimart next to the inn. Bamiyan, GUST, Ramen, Indian, Thai,,, many options nearby when it comes to food. If you walk further, you will find Lawson (another convenience store) too. I don't think pick up service is available but you can ask as I saw a van. It is very difficult to get hold of them when you have something to ask after you book. They actually have a mobile phone and I called the number to ask some details but the person on the phone couldn't answer my question. (I am a native Japanese !)
The location is excellent, the landlord responded quickly to the problem
Very good accommodation.
The interior has enough utensils to use to make the holiday feel more homey.
Did a 2 night stay to be able to see Mt Fuji and the lake nearby with my family. This hotel is near the bus station but it is a little bit of a walk from there. The staff was great and helpful. The room was quiet, a little larger than the standard Japanese hotel room even had a partial view of Mt Fuji. We had a small kitchenette. It was definitely dated and unfortunately had the hardest bed we ever slept on, no give at all. Pillows were no better. But having said that, they do have complimentary heating pads!! And they will provide additional pillows. The lake is in walking distance of the the hotel. If you walk outside the hotel and take a right, walk to the light. across the street and to the right is a secondhand store with lots neat things. Still, the overall stay was pleasant.
My wife and stayed here for two nights in twin room 1, overlooking Mount Fuji. We arrived on the 23/10/2019 and left on the 25/10/2019. For the price and location, this is a great place to stay at. It is about 7 minute walk from the bus station. It is close to restaurants and a short walk to the 20km Lake. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are way to soft which can cause a bit of neck strain. The facilities are clean and the shared toilets were near our room which made it convenient. There are two toilets on the second flloor (one is a urinal) and two toilets down stairs. There are also two shared showers. This was never an issue for us as there was only about 10 guests staying here. This place can hold up to 20 or so guests which may cause a line to use the shower and toilets. We had a clear view of Mount Fuji from our balcony, it was a sunny day when we arrived. I do recommend you check out the terrace as the view is awesone on a clear day. The kitchen has cooking facilities, microwave and a big fridge. The main sitting area is near reception. They have free bike hire which is really good, considering some places in town will charge a 1000 yen. It was raining heavily on the day we were leaving and the Manager offered to drive us to the bus station which was very nice of him. He also allowed us to check in early when we arrived and was extremely helpful in providing useful information on things to do. Customer service was amazing and I would have rated my stay as excellent if the pillows were more comfortable. Very good is still a good score.
This hotel is a great relaxing retreat for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families. The onsen is clean and refreshing. The rooms are spacious and clean. The buffet offered had an expansive selection and was filling. Service was excellent however English-speaking is limited. We had no problems using our translation app! It is close to beautiful lakes as well as the Aokigahara forest & caves.
Although the rooms were not small, it was a pity that I had to eat on the floor because I didn't have a simple table. I was able to cook in the kitchen, but the pot was
There was only one and a frying pan, and there was no slab about cooking equipment, so I felt quite inconvenient to make food. However, it is very satisfying that there is a solid bathtub
It was a point that could be done. The location was not far from the station to use the bus, and it was good to be able to go on foot.
The experience in this hotel is perfect!! The rooms are exactly the same with the official photos. We are so surprised when we get into the room. The house owners are very nice. They provided detailed restaurants and shops information about the district by sending us email. Free of charge bike renting service is also supplied.
It is a house of average Japanese family. There are two toilets and one bath room with bath tube. There are three super king size beds in total. Each can fits in two to three people or more. There is also an Tatami room for more bed spaces or luggages.
The room is large and the bed is a capsule hotel type. It can accommodate up to 10 people. It is suitable for friends traveling together. But it is a bit far from Kawaguchiko Station. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. It is quite convenient. There is a kitchen for cooking. The scenery is very good under Mount Fuji.
I was shocked when I opened Ctrip. The order from a year ago has not been evaluated yet😂
Overall it feels great! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Each floor looks like a public bathroom and toilet. The restaurant is fully equipped and spacious. The location of the hotel is a bit far away from the station, but there is no problem with pick-up (but you need to pay attention to the time limit). The owner and his wife and shop assistants are very enthusiastic! The clerk takes a small book to learn the languages of various countries. Hello, goodbye is so cute.
In addition, it seems that only Japanese is spoken here. The boss of the checkin gave me a few pieces of paper and explained it in detail for a while, including the room interior map, surrounding map, tour bus route timetable, Mobike rental car point and so on. Personally, I feel that it is enough for a person to play for two days around Kawaguchi Lake. The leisurely days of going to bed early, waking up, and relaxing are suitable for me, such as Buddhist youths.
After the checkout on the last day, the boss and his wife escorted me to the station together. It was rare that it was sunny that day. I parked on the roadside and took a picture of Mount Fuji under a clear sky.
