I stayed 2 at the end of the year. It was my first stay, but I wanted to relax and stay again. The hotel is over 9 floor, but the glass is often used and the view is bright everywhere. Creation that I have never seen before. A mechanism that cannot be put in the room key in the lodging zone. The building is a corridor style, overlooking the garden and chapel on the 9 floor, but it is lit up at night and this is beautiful again. The rooms are a bit vertical, but I was able to spend calmly. I liked my wife very much. The public bath is also like a fashionable and splendid hot spring hotel. Maybe more. There was a drum coin laundry next to the entrance of the public bath, and it was convenient for consecutive nights. Breakfast was a buffet, but the buffet on New Year's Day is a great word. When I arrived at the entrance with the service of the soup and arrived at the seat, the miscellaneous boiling was carried first. The soup was very delicious. In addition to the usual buffet, there were special dishes for New Year's Day, but there were many fresh sashimi, kazukono, shrimp, etc. There was red rice in rice. All were delicious and ate a lot. I went by car, but I went directly from the underground parking lot to the front floor and the parking fee was very good. Moreover, I think it is the best value for money in a hotel in Kumamoto City with a 24-hour parking setting. My wife started saving money because she wanted to go to the end of this year.

Stayed 4-nights whilst using Kumamoto as a base for day trips by train to Amakusi-Misumi, Aso-Miyaji, Nagasaki and Beppu. The Toyoko Inn is therefore ideal being within 200m of the entrance to Kumamoto Station and for getting about Kumamoto, the main stop for the Kumamoto Shiden (Tram) is right outside the hotel. As I had an early start each day I didn't get to try the free breakfast included in the room rate and arriving back late each evening, the food court on the 7th floor of the Amu Plaza adjacent to the Station proved really convenient (open until 10 ~ 11pm). Budget-priced hotels in Japan tend to provide small but well-eqipped rooms and Toyoko Inn is no exception. I opted for the cheaper room rate whereby your room isn't serviced daily, only fresh towels provided; even better value-for-money.

The location is in front of Kumamoto Station. There are restaurants and convenience stores in Kumamoto Station premises, so you can eat and drink without going to downtown areas such as kasushima Cho. Stay at the upper stage of the partition room type for 1 people. There was one lighting, USB connector and outlet in the space. I think most luggage will enter because the locker is large. I think wifi was good. The shower room and powder room are large and clean. Drinking and drinking are available in the food and drink space in the back of the front desk. There is a pot with hot water and a microwave oven, and a bar where you can drink alcohol is also provided. There is an outlet in the eating and drinking space, so you can eat and drink while charging your electronics. The difficulty is the sound problem. Because it is not a private room but a partition room and a dormitory, the sound of other guests (such as the opening and closing sound of the locker in the early morning of the midnight cherry blossoms) is echoed. The earplug is an amenities, but there is no effect near the person who has a big ibiki. Please stay after recognizing that there is such a thing that people who care about sound are concerned. However, compared to other dormitories and capsule hotels, I think there is a cleanliness and cleanliness that draw a line. Bicycle rental is also done and 500 yen for 8 ~ 20 o'clock use.

This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Kumamoto station. From the JR bstation exit it is on the left, just beside the Bic Camera store next. There is also a streetcar/tram stop so near the hotel which you can use to explore the city touristy spots! Shopping is convenient as the Kumamoto AMU Plaza (see another Review) is 5-mins walk away. The lobby is quite spacious and I quite like the intimate setting and lighting. Check-in was fast and 3 lifts serve well with travellers + luggages. The room design is quite standard and we have requested for x2 single bed, the room size is respectable. Noted that they're still using the physical hard key and not the keycard type. Hottel provided some amenities and complimentary bottled water in the room, sufficient for us . The Hotel is very into Going Green, there will be no housekeeping within first 3-days unless requested upon. This may likely be the model moving forward, to cut wastages. We had our breakfast at the nearby Pronto. The Kitaoka Shrine is just about 400 metres nearby, opposite direction of JR station so we recommend to drop by if time permits. A good stay experience. J

It is 2 ~ 3 minutes walk from JR Kumamoto Station, so transportation is good. More than a month ago, I called the hotel directly and booked a comfort single. However, the hotel homepage only stated that it was the East Building. When I went there, it was a 2F room that walked through the outer corridor without partitions. If it was raining, it would get completely wet. On the day, the wind was blowing and the cold was so bad. Was the East Building a former condominium or employee dormitory? The East Building should be stated on the hotel homepage, etc. that it is an outer corridor without a partition (rain and wind blows). In addition, the room is divided into two rooms from the middle of one room, which was an apartment or employee dormitory. You take off your shoes at the entrance and enter the room. The window of the room, the part where the TV is placed is not lighted, and it feels very dark. Isn't this part also necessary for lighting? The breakfast venue and the large communal bath are both located in 1F. The large communal bath is available at 15:00 ~. There is only a washroom at 6. In the morning, you can take a bath from 05:00AM. The breakfast venue is available at 06:30 ~ and a local dish from the Kyushu area is served every morning. (11/10 was Somen Champur in Okinawa) Also, the dessert was 11/10 was yogurt, but 11/11 was coffee jelly. I found out that various ideas were devised.

This is a new property built in September 2019. Easy access to Kumamoto Station, 8 minutes on foot and the nearest tram station 5 minutes on foot. It is an apartment type with a total of 8 rooms, and the entrance and facilities are all separate and independent types. All rooms are guesthouses, so you can stay like a hotel.A key box is provided, so check-in / check-out is easy. There is no parking lot in the building, but there are six coin parking lots within a 1-2 minute walk from the room.

Overall, I am satisfied, but as the review shows, the heating was only on the 2 floor because of the maisonette type, and the 1 floor remained very cold. I gave up the air conditioner and used only the small fan heater that I had prepared in the room, but it was warmer than using the air conditioner. (in summer, if the air conditioner is not working, it may be tough without a fan.) The shower head was more troublesome than the air conditioning, and it was not very easy to use in terms of water quantity. I was a little disgusted during my stay, so I went to a hot spring called Yurakusu nearby. It may have been inconvenient because it was a long stay, but tableware (paper plate, etc.) is prepared only one sheet a day, so it may not be enough to eat three meals. Also, since the trash can bag was not prepared to be replaced, I used the same trash bag all the time. If you are interested, you may want to buy it separately because there are 100 averages nearby.

Family 6 I was able to spend a relaxing time with ample space to stay with people. The ceiling was high and open, the interior was fashionable, and the children were happy with the loft. I didn't get lost in the location because I was able to enter the parking lot immediately from National Highway 3. 0 Even after the time, there is a traffic sound of the car (3 line is like that), but we were tired of playing and fell asleep, so we didn't mind.

The hotel's location was the main reason why we booked the place. It was close to both Kumamon Square and Kumamotojo, the 2 things we wanted to do in Kumamoto. However, note that even though it's right next to Kumamotojo, it still takes a 15~20minute walk to the entrance because it's on the other side of the castle keep during it's repairs. The staff are wonderful and very helpful, standard level of service in Japan is just one step above every other country. The staff did valet parking for me without extra charge, and was quite helpful in helping us to get to different attractions and restaurants. Overall, the hotel is very dated and the rooms are in dire need of a full renovation. I think that is why the rates were quite reasonable. For a hotel this caliber (probably 5 stars when it was first built), we only paid around 10,000 yen per night. The issue is the rooms are really old and the carpet looks dirty and ripped. parts of the washrooms were so old the faucet looked like it's from the early 90s and with small amounts of molds in the creases. Because the hotel is old, the ventilation isn't the greatest either. One of our rooms although was non-smoking, we could smell other room's cigarette smell in our room. Overall, I don't really recommend this hotel because it's really dated, but if you are on a budget and want close amenity it's worth a shot. The staff are nice too so I feel bad for not recommending the hotel, but at the end of the day, there are just better options in Kumamoto today.

10 minutes walk to Sakura Machi Kumamoto and 20 minutes walk to Kumamoto Castle. 5 minutes to 7-Eleven. It is a convenient location for those who are not bitter to walk. The first parking lot is flat next door, and the second and third are small but nearby. The car keys will be left at the front desk. The room key is only one that hangs on an old-fashioned stick. It was inconvenient to leave it every time I went out. The twin room was not so large, but the windows open are appreciated by smokers. There was no air purifier and there was no guide to renting. There is a refrigerator, but there is no safety box. The closet has no door, so I hung it on the bathroom so that it wouldn't smell. The bath / toilet room is small, but there is an artificial hot spring bath on the 3rd floor (16: 00-25: 00, 6:00-9:00). The dressing room was reasonably large and was a locker with a key. There are 5 washrooms, and the bathtub is horizontal and not so large. There is no sauna. Nightwear is a cover type, only rooms and large communal baths are available, and not available in restaurants. There was a vending machine on the 3rd floor, and there were beer, shochu, cup noodles and knobs. There is also a microwave oven and ice machine in this space. The coin laundry is a separate room for men and women, the washing machine costs 300 yen up to 7Kg and the dryer costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. Breakfast is a buffet at the restaurant on the 9th floor of the top floor (6:30-10:00). You can enjoy local dishes such as spicy lotus root and horse meat curry. There are also a variety of normal dishes. It costs 1,100 yen when paying separately, but considering the content, I felt that it was exceptionally cheap at this time. For dinner, I booked an izakaya ”Shokusai Shuan”, which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. Spicy lotus root, horse sashimi, Kumamoto sake, Kumamoto shochu, etc. were all delicious. There are only 4 tables and it seems to be popular with local customers, so it is better to make a reservation.

It is a business hotel, but the concept is like an inn, so I stayed in a room with tatami mats. It was wider than I thought, and I was able to spend it with ample size. The bath and toilet are different, and the radium hot spring is narrow, so if you want to enter widely, it is also recommended. However, it seems that the person who ate at the meal place of this hotel can take a bath for free, and it is the worst when it comes with those people. There are only 4 washrooms and the bathtub is not so big, so I returned to the room once and shifted the time. Because the meal guests are likely to enter the group, I thought that such service in that small public bath was a little, for the guests.

Stayed on May 6. I was lost with the location pattern, the new town, but I chose this because it was a little off the downtown area, close to the airport bus stop. As a request, I asked for a room with a good view outside the window to leave Asian group guests by phone. As a result, there was no group guest who was worried, and it was good to be assigned a room (1202) without the southeast side disorder. But many people point out that there are 1 elevators and the breakfast venue is very small I think it's miserable on a crowded day. Breakfast is small, although it is a service, and bread is only bread. The room is not very different from other Toyoko Inn. I think the location is good for transportation, food and drink and sightseeing.

We have used it several times. It feels a bit old in an old hotel, but it is a hotel that can be clean and calm. The morning Viking is a 10F restaurant, so you can see Kumamoto Jo castle that took the Asahi in front of you. The Viking was delicious as well. There was ”Kumamoto Ramen” and I made a morning rake on the last day. The size of the room and the hardness of the bed are satisfactory, but because the room light is small, I want another standlight and the bathroom faucet can be set to temperature I'm grateful. I made four stars. I am satisfied because I had a calm and comfortable time

the first time i experienced the breakfast of the person who stayed was insufficient. I contacted the branch manager directly and complained quite a bit. The family next door had no children's rice and it was cute. Also, foreigners didn't understand the meaning in the first place, so they were convinced that they ate the rest of the bread. It is very disappointing that there is no white rice and * dishes. Response to why there was no ingredients → I was a newcomer the customer is a veteran and the newcomer doesn't matter. I'm paying you, so I think I should refund even a little if there is a mistake. Service is not valid. I expect it next time I stay.

A very nice, modern hotel in the heart of the Kumamoto shopping district - very convenient location, right at the cross section of the two major covered shopping thoroughfares. Check-in only at 3pm and is an automated check-in/check-out system. Staff are very helpful and friendly. At check-in, you are free to choose your amenities from a very wide selection, including bath salts, face cleanser, moisturizer, coffee, green tea, etc. There is a giant tv in the room. No bottled water is provided. The room offers a full robe (short yukata and pants!). The rooms itself are very modern and renovated. There are two Family Marts and a 7-11 within a block of the hotel, as well as many dining and retail options within short walking distance. Unfortunately, I couldn't see Kumamoto Jo castle from my room, but there was a table and chair on the rooftop, and I was able to enjoy Kumamoto Jo castle at night. The room is equipped with a lot of outlets and USB, and it is not troubled by charging mobile phones. The clothes in the building were unique. Laughs. It became a memory of the trip. A typical local travelers hotel tucked right next to the Kamitoricho shopping street where food options and convenience are abundant. The nearest tram stop is about 300m from the hotel, and the Shinkansen station is about 20mins by tram from the hotel. All major tourist attractions are also within the vicinity. The hotel has aged over the years but has been very well kept. Rooms are BIG for japanese standards, clean, toilets look very new, and basic amenities like body wash, towels and kettle is provided. Coffee is provided but you would have to walk to the reception to grab a cup. Room is sufficiently insulated and a central heater will keep you warm during winter. However the partition between the rooms are thin so noise from the next room can be audible - we had a occupant snore so loudly that it was faintly audible in the room. It is also worth noting that the footsteps and slamming doors from the corridor may also be heard via the front door. Lastly, although some of the staff may not speak English well, they are very helpful and accommodative - just whip out your google translate and have a conversation with them - they will gladly oblige.

The hotel is situated next to a tram station but more importantly, within close proximity to Kumamoto castle and Sakura Machi, so sightseeing and grabbing dinner was no trouble. However, consider not travelling to this hotel with luggage on a tram since I found the experience quite gruelling. Trams in Kumamoto are not exactly designed for tourists carrying hefty luggage. The staff spoke very decent English in the realm of Japanese hotels. The rooms spotlessly clean and sizeable also in terms of Japan. The only downside is that there is no bathhouse but this is much compensated by the spacious bathroom with a roomy bathtub and a rainfall shower. All in all, the only thing you have to ponder upon is whether you would be travelling to this hotel with luggage on the tram. Otherwise, this is a perfect location to stay in Kumamoto! We stayed on the tour. The exterior is very clean after renewal. The interior is also around the restaurant and lobby on the first floor, and the front desk is clean. Especially the restaurant was not only clean, but the breakfast was very delicious with local dishes lined up. However, the rooms seemed to be under renewal construction, and the passenger elevator was dedicated to one construction. The guest room floor is that of a business hotel with a Showa atmosphere from the corridor. The room smells of an old hotel, from carpet to wallpaper, and you can feel the remnants of the time when you could smoke. You can see from the scratch of the burnt chair that it was a smoking room. The bathroom was the same as before, and due to the trap of drainage under the floor, there was a step of about 20 cm, and it was difficult to climb and down. And it's very narrow. The view from the room is that there is a highway on the river side, but the space is open On the other side, you can only see the closed hospitals and emergency stairs in old buildings. I think the river side is good if you stay. Anyway, it is best after the renewal is completed. The view does not change.

After a 2.5 weeks trip, I can now say that this was by far the best hotel I have been in, and the best meal. The location (5 minutes from the superb garden I wanted to see, plus as a hotel guest you get in for free) is great. The air con was perfect, not too intrusive yet during the heat wave it felt just right. And the food! With a view from the roof tops as you feast. The staff was also lovely and friendly, the bathroom kitted out with all the mod cons a westerner would like. I cannot recommend it enough.

We stayed for 3 nights. The service was outstanding. All staff were very polite and professional. The room was very clean, nice size, and super comfortable with a river view. We had a guest and they gave a parking validation. The breakfast was amazing with various choices. The location is convenient to the downtown and also JR train station. We will definitely stay again.

Location is unbeatable and it’s great I can park the car in the hotel with very reasonable charge. As a gentle note, hotel car park only accept cash on the ground level. The onsen is really good and open till mid night, which is great. The room is comfortable and clean.

The front desk was on the second floor. The first floor is 7-Eleven. The number of multi-storey car parks attached to the hotel was small, and when it was full, the affiliated parking lot was very far away. One blue sky parking lot was vacant, but it didn't stop me. There was a parking lot other than the affiliation nearby. It is good that the bathroom has a bathtub and a washroom. The room is not large. There are many times when the front desk is congested. There was a 7-Eleven on the first floor and it was convenient. The bar area is close, so it is convenient to walk when eating out.

The hotel is located right at one of the very busy shopping streets of Kumamoto with many shops and restaurants. We had had very pleasant stroll there and had dinner and snack. The room is very spacious and clean. The two matt glass windows cannot be opened per se. One has light and the other very little. The soap provided is of better quality than that of the other hotels I have stayed in. The dispenser says Kao.
