The breakfast is good, you can order food and make it. The house I live in is too dark and there are few lights. The bedroom lights are not as bright as the toilet lights. The curtains are well shaded and I slept.

Rooms are clean and bright. Modern and aesthetically prominent, i would definitely recommend this hotel for a break of a day or two. From the swings in the lobby, to the quirky cards on the bed and door hangers, there was definitely an air of fun meets serious. My only real complaint was that there is nowhere to put your clothes. I was there for work for four days, and had four coat hangers. Apart from this, excellent experience. highly recommended.

It was a wonderful Victorian-style hotel. The hotel was remodeled from a former hospital building, and it has luxurious spaces. The rooms were clean and spacious, of course. The bathrooms were also of a high standard. It was impressive that they eliminated the bathtub to save water consumption in order to maintain the sustainability that the hotel aims for. I hope it will continue to develop as a good accommodation.

Rachel at reception saved our vacation to Cork! Upon arrival to Cork, our airbnb had visible mold and smelled of mildew. Even though the Jury's Inn was fully booked, she helped us try to find a new location. After spending time in your lobby, Rachel rushed out to tell us there was a cancelation! Not only did she help us get a room, she provided complimentary drinks for ”our rough day”. I can't say enough good things about how caring Rachel was through the entire process. Thank you Rachel and Jury's Inn!

I got a room with a window facing the in-door atrium, which meant not having a window with daylight. For the price I paid, I would expect to have a room with a window with daylight. Spa was not clean and I didn't enjoy it at all. Breakfast was not good either. I won't stay with Clayton again.

The room is clean, but the decoration is relatively early and the facilities are a bit old. The atmosphere of the hotel's restaurant is very good. The music plays until late at night, around 11 o'clock. When dining in the morning, I can face the small waterfall, which makes me feel quite comfortable. The front desk and restaurant services are both good.

Our room was comfortable. It was a good size, modern decor, and modern bathroom fixtures with a large tiled shower stall. The hotel had 2 elevators. activated by room keys. This hotel chain prefers jars of Body Wash to soap. Not having an iphone, I appreciated using the computer in their business room to do emails. There isn't really a lobby area at the entrance, but the cocktail and bar lounge, connected to a small dining area, serve as sitting areas when waiting for others. We arrived tired from a day of travel so we were delighted to eat in the hotel's dining room for an evening meal rather than go exploring for a restaurant. The prices for evening meals in the hotel cafe were reasonable with a discount offered on 2 and 3 courses. The Bacon and Chicken Salad (15E) I ordered was delicious and dinner size, and desserts like Eton Mess were around 6.75E. During the day, the hotel has a coffee shop (scones 3E) with both indoor and outdoor seating. Could take away the pastries and enjoy them in the room where coffee and tea and kettle were free to use. No bakery shop was nearby. The hotel is within walking distance of the English Market (a bakery counter here) and shopping streets like St. Patrick's Street. For us, it was a good choice for an overnight stay with Insight coach tours.

We booked for 2 nights and a dinner at a good price. We got a room with a sea view, which was nice. The room was small, but it was grand. The bathroom was old, small, and tired. The shower curtain was mouldy and smelled. There were bulbs blown, and there was sealant missing from around the sink. The restaurant and bar share the same space, and there was extremely limited relaxed seating for the bar. The food was lovely. No complaints there. The second night we had a 3 course meal. It took 55 minutes to receive our second course with no explanation given. This was unacceptable. It reflected very poorly on the restaurant. I asked for a cocktail at the bar and i was told no not tonight. The barman was a bit rude. The lounge areas are very nice and the paper was a nice touch. We didn't use the pool as the times didn't suit as there were constant swimming lessons going on. The second night there was an event on in the hotel and I didn't get to sleep until 2 am, when the music finally stopped. Then the door banging began in the halls until 4 am.

I am in love with their bed!! It’s the best I’ve ever slept on. So in love, I had to investigate to find out who makes their bed: it’s by the natural sleep company. I slept deliciously and I will now get a bed like that for my home. The employees were quite kind and helpful too. Clearly, from the bed alone, they invest in quality. It’s a gorgeous building and exquisitely maintained with a magnificent old world charm. I hope this gem lasts for ages and doesn’t succumb to the boring, overly modern, cookie cutter trope a lot of hotels have fallen into. I will return for sure.

On the positive side, the hotel is easy to reach from the airport, the rooms are large and beds comfortable. The breakfasts are generally of a good standard with a interesting selection. We were able to park easily. Staff friendly and helpful. The areas for us that could have been improved would include the breakfast system for having eggs cooked freshly, as most people abandoned the idea when being told there were many orders waiting to be cooked, so there would be a fair wait. Our room faced West, so by the end of a hot summer’s day, the room was also well warmed! The aircon setting of 19 degrees was hopeless in bringing the temperature down quickly and effectively, and the window only opened a tiny bit. We are still waiting for someone to explain to us why hotels still have winter weight quilts on beds in the summer…we seem to spend more time sleeping on them than under them!!!! Unfortunately this hotel is probably not an option for those on a limited budget.

Margaret and her husband offer a warm welcome to their very comfortable and super clean B&B. A good breakfast freshly cooked to order. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Good powerful showers. Not the newest but it's super clean and in very good condition. You can pop in and out all day but only breakfast is on offer. Very quiet. Parking. WiFi. Residents' lounge. Great views at breakfast over the water. It's a 15 minute walk into Baltimore down a reasonably busy road. Or a short drive into Skibbereen. A good base for a few days.

The accommodation is ideally situated in the Centre of Cork, near all the attractions and next to a Tesco supermarket. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, bear in mind that this is not a hotel or a hostel - it is student accommodation which is let out during the summer when the students have gone home. This means that the rooms are very spartan with nothing much in them apart from a bed, desk/chair and a bathroom. There is no TV, no tea/coffee facilities, no bin or lamps. The only lighting was the very bright main ceiling light, which was too bright for me, meaning that at night it was more comfortable to sit in darkness. There is a fully equipped kitchen/lounge on each floor, with nice views over the River Lee. Check in is from 4pm which might be a little late for some, although I understand you can leave your bags in reception if required. I would stay here again, but not for any longer than one or two nights. All in all though, not bad for the price.

6/5 I am a regular business stay at Clonakility Hotel. I was here last night when Rebecca and reduced team who were super efficient with a fully dining room. There are wonderful facilities for all. A popular spot for families, bus tours and corporate. Live music during summer months has the dance floor full and beautifully decorated for seasonal holidays. Tonight lots of locals in , always a good sign. Earlier this year I made this home base when my dad’s cousins visited from USA.. with walk in showers and newly renovated rooms they ( frequent global traveler’s ) were delighted with rooms, entertainment and beautiful food. A great home base to explore the beautiful west cork..

The best hotel in Cork, but unfortunately it is a bit far from the city center, more than 3 kilometers to the train station, and it is not very convenient to take the bus. The room area is not very large, and the room facilities are quite complete. The hotel service is very good, and it can respond quickly. When checking out, they also extended the room. The hotel breakfast is in the form of ordering and buffet, but the variety of buffet is very limited, but the taste of the order is very good.

The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you). The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night Stay in the Garryvoe Hotel. Myself and 3 friends went off for a 2 night stay and didn’t want to travel too far and picked this Hotel. Unusually for me, I didn’t put in any research, but was blown away but all the facilities and the Hotel in general. Our rooms for starters were just lovely. Huge rooms with beautifully fresh quality linen on the beds. Spacious bathroom and lovely balcony with view of the Sea. Impressive Coffee maker in the room which was replenished daily, plus fresh water. We took full advantage of the beautiful pool and lap pool and also visited the Steam, Sauna and hot tub. All these facilities were first class. Must mention, we all asked for robes and they were delivered pronto to our rooms. We enjoyed lunch when we arrived and Dinner that evening. The Menu was excellent and so was the quality of the food. Breakfast was so good, starting with a buffet for fresh fruit salad, cereals and pastries. Lovely hot menu including Excellent Creamy Porridge, Eggs Benedict and fresh fish, all freshly made to order which was quite evident. I have to comment on the Staff in the Restaurant who were so welcoming and really just lovely, they reminded me of what Irish Hospitality used to be famed for. Garryvoe is a beautiful Hotel inside and extremely relaxing. It has the benefits of the beach on its doorstep and Ballycotton and Ballymaloe about 10 mins away as other attractions. I could not recommend this Hotel highly enough and will definitely be back.

When we arrived, the outside appearance did not bode well, however, once inside we were greeted by a very nice young lady who showed us to our rooms. We both had rooms with stunning views over the falls, very clean, tidy, comfortable and warm. The food was really lovely, although not too great a choice for a veggie, however, John was really friendly and entertaining! There was a young man singing and playing guitar the first evening, he was really good and we joined in! Breakfast in the morning was again a wee bit disappointing for a veggie, great for carnivores though! John's service again was really great, giving out ideas of where to visit etc. Our meal the next evening was also very good and then we had the experience of a lot of older people descending into the pub. What a night!!! The couples were Irish dancing and we were really exhausted just watching them, they never really sat down! We were asked to join in, we would not have been able to keep up with them all! Our relatives went up to bed and we stayed down to watch them, however, we had to call it a day and they were all still going!!! They did not even make a noise when leaving! Breakfast again in the morning was good and John very attentive. The only one niggle we had, was a dog barking in the room next to our relatives room, which did disturb them a wee bit. This was one of our favourite hotels during our stay in Ireland and would definitely stay again.

Premier Inn Cork City Centre
4.1/543 Reviews

What can I say really? It's a Premier Inn. In the middle of a longer holiday where I was only staying in hostels, I decided to treat myself in Cork because I didn't like the sound of either of the hostels that were available. The Premier Inn was a good solution for not blowing my budget while allowing me a bit of comfort of a room to myself. Maybe my past rare hotel experiences have been too good, but I found myself thinking my own home was nicer than this – which seemed a bizarre thought until I did the maths and realised staying in a Premier Inn was 50% more expensive than one day's rent in my own flat. I don't know, I always had this feeling that paying for a hotel meant you paid for something more luxurious than staying at home, but that was definitely not my actual experience. You don't even get proper toiletries, for one thing; the Bayliss and Harding soap and shower gel are nice, but I still had to bring my own shampoo and conditioner. There isn't really much space to unpack. As far as I know the only place to refill a water bottle was the bathroom sink, which was not particularly cold. Sadly I didn't get much of a good night's sleep; I'd been stifling a cold on my trip and while I was occasionally waking up to cough on other nights, while staying here I had such bad coughing fits on multiple occasions I started to suspect I was allergic to something in the bed sheets. I had no issues storing my bag in their luggage room when I arrived before 3pm, so I wasn't tempted to pay extra for an early check-in. Breakfast was not included with my booking, and I balked at what I considered to be quite a high price. It ended up being a non-issue as they started serving at 6:30 and I had a bus to catch at 6:50. The location is the best part really, being very central in Cork and easy to get to from most of the places you are likely to visit, including the train station. My room had a lovely view onto the Holy Trinity Church. Overall, it wasn't exactly a mind-blowing experience, but I'm sure it was more refreshing than another night in a below-average hostel would have been, so I'm glad I stayed.

I was on business visiting one of my companies sites on Little Island, Cork. The whole experience from check on Monday through to check out on Wednesday was excellent. The high level of service starting with the staff from reception, the coffee stand and restaurant bar were polite, efficient and helpful. In particular, the mercurial Paudi behind the bar - he made the stay even more enjoyable with his wit and conversations that we had. I am recommending this hotel to others, including to myself as I will be returning to Cork every other month and I will be booking into The Radisson Blu and next time using the SPA & other Leisure facilities. I have just check out yesterday and the hotel is lovely and the lobby is beautiful will a lot of space to take a seat and relax. This hotel also has no shortage of car parking spaces surrounding the building. We had booked a interconnecting room for 5 Ladies which is ideal for friends going for a night away. We had arrived before check in not expecting our rooms to be ready but to just leave our cars and head into town. The gentleman on reception was fantastic ( I'm so sorry for not remembering his name) he was able to check us in to one of our rooms early and send up a few drinks for us which was amazing and really set our stay up the right way. he also gave us great recommendations for food and drinks in the city which really helped. The rooms where spotless and we had nothing to complain about here. The beds are very comfortable. I also liked that the bathrooms have the bath and shower separate. the rooms are very quiet also which helped with getting some sleep. The breakfast was the only thing I would say was only ok. The only option for hot breakfast was Porridge or Full Irish which I thought was a bit limited. With it still being table service in this hotel, which I don't have a problem with, the server we had had forgot one or two things we asked for and we had to ask again. Some items we then received some we didn't. This still would not stop me from staying again. We had a very fun, comfortable, easy, friendly stay here and I would recommend this hotel to friends/family.

Castlemartyr Resort Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights in November as a large group of 14 adults and 5 children, it was our third trip to Castlemartyr as a group and we had a great time. We rented out 3 of the Gate Residences which are located just as you drive in. The houses have everything you need amenities wise and were absolutely spotless. They're bout a 5 min walk to the village and a 7 min walk to the hotel itself which is super handy. The village has a Centra, Greengrocers as well as a couple of pubs so all you need really. Concierge service is available from the house but it's such a nice walk especially at night so would highly recommend once the weather is good. We had dinner in The Canopy Restaurant on the first night and the Hunted Hog both other nights. Food was absolutely delicious in both as it always is and the service was fantastic. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is really good in the hotel. One thing I would say, if you have a baby who is only moving to solids, there are no options available except soup. So I would advise bringing your own if you have a young baby. It would be great if the hotel offered something even like Ella's Kitchen pouches in the future. The pool is great for adults and kids alike. There are alotted times to bring children and they have a ball. But alternatively there are adult only times which is great too if needing to chill and have a swim. Have to give a special mention to the babysitting services onsite as well. If you require a baby sitter the hotel will provide numbers to organise yourself. We've had Eileen on every visit and I can't praise her enough, she has been amazing and so good with the kids as well. It's great having the option if you want to go for a bite to eat and a drink knowing the kids are being so we'll looked after in the house. Overall another great few days in Castlemartyr and we're looking forward to heading back in the future.

The service staff was friendly and the accommodation was very good. The hotel also provides bathrobes and disposable slippers. Not too far from the Cork Center. Compared to the four-star hotel of the same price I stayed near Dublin Airport, all aspects are much better. Unfortunately, time is tight and there is no free pool and sauna to enjoy.

Check into the room, there was a hole in the throw at the bottom of the bed. The handle in the window was falling off. When for a shower then it was going from hot to cold. I opened the drawer for the hair dryer it was full of hair. We went for food then, the food was good, bar staff was nice. Next morning we went for breakfast, we waited over 30 mins for our breakfast to come down even do the restaurant was very quite. We both ordered scrambled egg with hash brown and rashers. When it eventually arrived we got two bowls of scrambled egg and poached egg and hash brown on one plate. We said we didn't order this and the waiter say ye will have this. I said no we order rashers and hash brown. She insisted we take it. We asked for a manager. She said she was very sorry and we would be compensated . We check out, the manager told us it didn't go through in fist transaction. It went through second time we check the receipt it said €40We found out later that evening we had been charged 20. We rang for them to say this and she said she charged us 20 by mistake. But the breakfast was 10 each so that why we got 40 back. Alot of mistakes, by Alot of staff and noone taken responsibility if you ask me.
