Matsuyama
|2.44km from city centerI applied for a plan with half board for two days and one night. The exterior looks old, but the interior has a modern and bright impression, including a restaurant. Many of the front desks were veterans and kind, and many of them were young like students because the restaurant was busy, but I had a good feeling including the first 々 feeling. The main dinner seemed to have been wrong with the advance request information, but it was helpful to respond immediately. I thought it would be nice to have a change in the contents of the buffet at dinner and the buffet at breakfast (shell pasta and pumpkin gratin that I only saw at the night buffet, etc. persistently It was a sloppy taste that wasn't too much.) Close to the shopping street and Dogo Onsen main building, I made a reservation for accommodation by seeing the word of mouth, but the parking fee was 800 yen / day, but it was a hotel that I could have a pleasant stay and wanted to repeat.

|0.47km from city centerThe hotel is in a very good location. You can take the tram to the main street and walk two intersections along the commercial street. It is also very close to the Matsuyama Castle Cable Car Station. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, such as Tai Fish Rice. I have always liked the large bath at Dormyinn Hot Spring Hotel and the free supper every night. I take a bath on the rooftop and have a popsicle every night. It is very comfortable. In addition, there is a free foot bath at the door of this store~

We are from Tokushima Prefecture, and we are truly grateful for all the care you have given us. We are looking forward to staying here again in November when we visit our grandchildren. From my mother and daughter, we would like to thank both the male and female staff.

|0.6km from city centerThis hotel offers a distinctly international experience, with staff fluent in both Chinese and English. Parking is available for 1200 yen, with an automatic parking tower conveniently located next to the hotel. Friendly staff are on hand to assist with parking. Just simply drive your car into the designated slot, and they will handle the rest, automatically transporting it to an upper floor.
What's more, the parking fee includes unlimited access, so there's no need to worry about being charged multiple times when going out for dinner or exploring the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer nothing to complain about. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

|0.96km from city centerThe location is a bit inconvenient. About 10 minutes from the big road. It is in front of the hotel Taihei road. There are few restaurants around, but there are several dining rooms for students. The room is a bit small but clean and there are minimum amenities such as refrigerators. Compared to the price of the hotel on the big road, it is cheap by about 20%, so it is recommended if it is not for sightseeing purposes

|0.44km from city centerWe started our Japan experience with this hotel in Matsuyama. It was easy to find and the shuttle from the airport has a closeby stop. The area around the hotel has a lot of shops, bars and restaurants so even though we arrived late in the evening we could easily find something to eat etc. Our luggage got stuck en route but the hotel had everything we needed (toothbrush, razor, piyamas, ...) and the rooms were clean and had their own bathroom which we later learned as we travelled through the country was on the spatious side. In the morning we really got to appreciate the nice view and used the hotels strategic location to explore all tourist attractions on foot in a single day! Breakfast is mainly Japanese with some western options and had ample options and provided well to start the day. Staff is friendly and courteous.

|1.06km from city centerI booked a plan for the prefecture and was collected 500 yen additionally on the day. I thought I wanted to contact you immediately. The hotel was old, dark and heating was not available. Breakfast was delicious and Ehimezawa rice was excellent and replaced. I was asked if hot water came out to the man who was at the venue? The room of the person did not have hot water. I was sorry to hear that hot water did not come out in that cold room even if I heated it. It was 4000 yen with breakfast. The surroundings are dark and there are only convenience stores.

|4.86km from city centerAttention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.

|2.34km from city centerFirst Shikoku, first Dogo Onsen. The word of mouth has become very late. We stayed at 2023.1.17 1. Stayed in haiku suite. Since it was an early morning flight, I arrived quite early than check-in, so I stopped by the hotel to leave my luggage. A veteran man guided me to the front desk immediately. However, while disappointed by the expressionless and cold response of the young woman at the front desk, it was because of this that I arrived too early, so I asked her to leave her luggage and go sightseeing. And check in. It is not possible that the door of the cleaning tool box right next to the entrance of the room called haiku suite remained empty. (This place remains open all the time during my stay.) The room was clean and of course large, but I think the back of the amenities and the dusty details were not well cleaned. Dinner is at the restaurant. I stayed in a large room, so is it like this when considering the accommodation fee? It was delicious with elegant seasoning, but I have the impression that there were many similar seasonings. I chose Western food for breakfast. It was good to have an extraordinary feeling with the silver lid and an omelet on the white tablecloth. It was a private room-style seat, but there were two tables, the distance from the neighbor was close, and it was too quiet to hear the conversation, so I was uncomfortable. This might have been quite relaxing with room service. The man of the staff who guided me to the room on arrival checked out and told me what I casually asked. I was impatient, so I forgot completely, so I thought I could tell you by extension, etc., but it was probably the hospitality of the person who was not in the manual. I'm sorry that there is no hot water in the bath. Somehow, I wondered if it would be a good inn if I became a regular, but I won't visit again.

|2.14km from city centerWhen I checked in late at night, the night meal was prepared in the room (maybe because I described the scheduled time) and the heart was warm and warm. It was convenient to have luggage baskets and umbrellas for hot water around the neighborhood. The large bath is also complete in the hotel, and it is put from 5 o'clock in the morning until 1 o'clock at night, so I think it can be used many times for those who like bathing. The location is close to Dogo Onsen Station, a few minutes walk from each Onsen Museum and convenience stores are also nearby, so it is a very convenient hotel. It was a little old building, but I thought the cost performance was good in view of location and service.

|6.5km from city centerA few times like this brand hotel, there is a similar motel, the hotel has only two floors, about 20 rooms, the two beds in the room are so big, you can carry four people. The room is free parking, about 15 people. You can pick up your own car. The toilet in the room is separated from the bathroom, and the bathroom has a bathtub to soak in. Towels and shower liquid will be provided in the room, but the toiletries will be dried. Breakfast will have bread orange juice and buried coffee, and the lobby will be casual. The hotel has a washing machine, I have used it, 50yen laundry detergent, 200yen washing machine, 100yen drying clothes 30 minutes. There are many branches in Japan, and you can pick another brand next time you travel. Everyone, when picking this brand ~ hotel, remember to clear the branch, there is a chance to pick the wrong 🙏 of another branch when booking online because ~ the same name.

|2.41km from city centerI felt like a Showa retro, a guest house without waste. Only the joint toilet breakfast is a little high for 1 10,000 yen per person per night? I thought, but there was no other empty in the center of Dogo Onsen under the same conditions at the same time. It is a convenient location for walking and going to other attractions. The room we stayed in was a very artistic room with a splendid peacock painting on the whole cheek. Breakfast was simple but delicious and all the families changed.

|0.76km from city centerIt is very nice to have plenty of amenities. Breakfast is also recommended. If you stay consecutive nights, you should eat breakfast for one night for the time being. The location is a bar, but there is a parking lot. If you are in the city, you can also go sightseeing from here. There is a little distance from the station in Ichibancho, but I don't mind because I can walk through the arcade. Is the convenience store a little far away? The staff at the restaurant was very friendly. It was one operation, but it was a very attentive person. Rather, is it impossible to do this here with one operation unless it is that person? I thought.

|0.23km from city centerThe size of the room is really big. It’s really big in the hotel room in Japan. The hot springs on the 1st floor are very spacious and very comfortable, all with massage water flow. I especially like the colder springs of 35 degrees, which can be soaked for a long time. And although the overall facilities are not very new, they look very clean, not bad. Downstairs is Rosen, and it is always open, very convenient, and the experience is very good.

|0.66km from city centerUsed for relatives' legal affairs with 3 family members. I booked a Japanese-style room because the price was relatively cheap, but the size of the room and the content of the breakfast were good for the price. Especially, it was not a unit bath that is common in business hotels, but the toilet and bath were separate 々, and the bath was quite good because it felt wider than the bath at home. The location was relatively close to the city center, so it was convenient. When I returned home, I thought I would be able to use it next time.

|6.14km from city centerThe source hanging and Viking were substantial. There was a terrible word of mouth about the appearance of the hotel, but I stayed at the hot spring of the rare sulfur spring in Shikoku, but the interior was not bad and chic and calm even if the appearance was unavoidable. From the twin Western-style guest rooms, the natural greenery was healed by seeing the whole surface. The open-air bath that flows directly from the source was a masterpiece, and the Dogo Onsen I stayed the day before was honestly inferior. The buffet and dinner were substantial, and the sausage and bacon for breakfast were also felt to use the local production of iyo pork for local consumption. With this, I felt that 12500 yen with half board per night was outstanding in cost performance. I will go to heal again next year. However, it was the only disappointment that the sushi shari was messy and dumplings, but I think it should be reflected as a hotel why it was offered as such. (Ohagi was also offered in the Mid-Autumn Festival, so is it around that?)

|0.91km from city centerI used it for travel with my friends, but the room had a feeling of life and the staff was good and the price was very good. Just because of the hotel facing the main street, the parking lot is a three-dimensional parking lot? It seems to struggle if it is not used to it because it is like.

|2.5km from city centerWe loved almost everything about Bettei Oborozukiyo. It has a classic Japanese aesthetic, but is actually quite new, modern, stylish and fresh (it was established in 2015.) It's also small, private and quaint - it consists of only 19 rooms, which is a big departure from many of the mega hotels that litter the Dogo Onsen landscape. And it's only a short walking distance away from the main tourist sites in the area. All in all, we couldn't have asked for much more than what Bettei Oborozukiyo offered. We booked a ”G-Type Special Room with Open-Air Bath” (Room #307, ”Oborozuki” to be specific), the highest room category at the property. It's a nicely laid out and tastefully furnished and decorated suite room that features not one but two open-air, free-flowing Onsen (hot springs) baths. One is small bath (large enough for only one person) and is completely open air, while the second Onsen is much larger, and can be either fully enclosed or open-air, depending on whether you open all of the sliding glass windows. You really get the best of both worlds here. We had the smaller Onsen set to a hotter temperature and used it to quickly warm up our bodies, while the larger Onsen was set to a slightly lower temperature - allowing us to spend a longer amount of time enjoying the bath. It was pure bliss. It's worth noting that every single room at Bettei Oborozukiyo has at least one open-air Onsen bath, which is a real luxury and probably the main reason people would visit Dogo Onsen in the first place. And the Onsen hot springs water comes from the same source as the one used by the famous Dogo Onsen Honkan public bath house, so you know that it's going to be a special experience. A few other advantages of our room - it featured two separate toilets (Mrs. KI-NRT loves separate toilets!), and a bedroom that is completely separated from the main living area, which allowed her to take a peaceful nap while I was conducting a video conference with business partners. Meals for all guests are served in private dining rooms, which was nice (although if we were to nitpick, we prefer to be served in our the actual room that we're staying in.) And the Kaiseki meal was delicious and beautifully presented. While it was not the best meal we've ever had, all of the ingredients were locally-sourced and super fresh, especially the awesome seafood that was offered (including sashimi-style.) And the Iyo Beef Sirloin ”Shabu Shabu” hot pot was a great way to enjoy the local meat delicacy. Both dinner and breakfast were served by Riyo Miyauchi, a charming, engaging and enthusiastic young lady who was born and raised in the area, prompting us to ask many questions about the region and learning a great deal about Ehime as a result (especially the food.) Given that Japan was in the middle of a big pandemic wave, it was great to be able to enjoy top quality Onsen in the comfort of our room, without having to result to the communal bath at Bettei Oborozukiyo, or at Dogo Onsen Ho

|1.86km from city centerI booked a room for 3 people (4 people) with yo, but it was nice that the room was large enough and there was a separate space to organize the carrier. There was an induction and a kettle, so I could boil tea or simply eat cup noodles. The room was very clean and the quilt was thick. If you come on a family trip for three, I would definitely recommend this room. There is a large mart within a 3-minute walk, so it is easy to shop and there are many conveniences. It is an 8-minute walk from the downtown Dogo Onsen, but it is closer than on the map. It is a street where you can walk without any burden even if you have a hot spring late at night. I would highly recommend it if the purpose is to hot springs. I traveled on foot, but it takes 20 minutes to walk to Matsuyama Castle Cable and 30 minutes to Okaido. The downside is that there are no staff who are fluent in English, but there was no big problem. He was kind and mixed English, Japanese and Korean to explain the room well and tried hard. Thank you! I want to visit again next time ^^

|0.4km from city centerI chose it because the bath and toilet are different though it is reasonable price. Following the last time, I stayed for the second time. The bath is not too narrow for one person and is not too wide. The cleaning is well done and there are one thing that you don't need. There are two tea packs, but I thought it would be good to have a tea pack in the lobby. This room was a good feeling to look up Matsuyama Jo castle from the bed. It was surprising that the early morning alarm was heard from the next room early in the morning, but the other was comfortable. The staff is also good and I would like to use it again.

|2.35km from city centerBefore you go: it is good to speak some Japanese. I tried to book it directly with the ryokan so I could choose a menu plan but the English version of the website was not showing available dates and the Japanese version was not allowing to enter a non-Japanese phone number. I emailed them (in Japanese) and was able to get a reservation with the meal plan of my choice (breakfast and dinner and some special side dishes). We stayed at what I think is called superior Japanese room. It was very spacious. Besides the onsen on the first floor, the room itself has a large ofuro. Meals were served in our room. I liked this for breakfast but missed seeing people around dinner time. The onsen dowstairs has two large baths, one is closed and the other is open with rocks and vegetation around. A glass window separates them. After the onsen, there is self-service beer and/or ice-cream. The food was amazing! But I think I went overboard in ordering the special sea bream sashimi. We stayed two days there, relaxing at the onsen after climbing the Matsuyama castle ramp/steps or after cycling the Shimanamikaido in Imabari (about 40 minutes from Matsuyama) felt like heaven. The staff was extremely warmth and professional. In this place you will see the true Japanese hospitality ”omotenashi”.

|2.55km from city centerIt is the second time to visit Dogo Onsen for the first time in several years, but the last time I failed to choose a hotel and left a bad impression on Dogo Onsen itself. This time, I examined various things on the net to dispel the failure, and concluded that the hotel for the birthday celebration trip was not except for the tsurukan, and I stayed for a long time, and it was correct to choose tsurukan. I was very satisfied with all of the rooms, hot springs, meals, infection measures, hospitality, etc. I can't say to the staff, ”it will be hard in the corona pass, but please do your best.”

|2.43km from city centerWhen you arrive at the hotel, you leave the car key and have your luggage carried to the front desk, and when the reception is over, you will be guided to the room. Elevators, corridors and rooms from the entrance surrounded by antiques. The calm space was good. I'm impressed by the response of good staff who don't match the reasonable price 〜 Asuka no Yu immediately after arriving at the main building, the hotel hot spring at night, and the Tsubaki no Yu in the morning. I ate dinner near Asuka no Yu, breakfast at the hotel, and it was delicious to choose Western and Japanese food. After checking out, I ate Matsuyama Meshi, Uwajima Meshi and tart and went home. It was a hotel that felt more than the price. What I was worried about was the sound of the water in the toilet in the room. It's a pity that the ventilation fan in the large communal bath was making a strange noise and I couldn't enter slowly.
