Stayed here after walking from Keswick,the hostel is situated just up from the lake and is in an excellent location for walkers in the lakes We got checked in easy and got settled in our rooms,we had supper and breakfast here and the food was very good,only downside with the food was that sandwiches are no longer provided,with us.doing a linier hike we were hoping to restock supplies for the day ahead. The rooms were comfortable but unlike Keswick we had a shared toilet and shower along the corridor,not an issue for us but some may not like that,there's facilities in the hostel for self catering with a kitchen and fridge and also a couple of huts out front 😀 Decent place to sleep,eat and hike will book again if in area 😀

This is an amazing hotel, fantastic bed and great bath to relax in after walking all day. Staff were fantastic, very friendly, helpful and informative of the area. We had to order room service (additional charge) as we had 2 dogs with us, it would have been nice to eat in the restaurant.
